My sister and I have been shopping for accent chairs for weeks. We were starting to run out of ideas of where to look, when I remembered Marlo Furniture. At no point was I expecting to like anything. I thought the furniture would be cheaply made and the staff would be overbearing. It was none of those things. Our salesperson, Chima, greeted us then let us do our thing. She found exactly what she wanted and I got a whole bedroom set that I wasn't looking for. The prices (after the new car show sales experience) were reasonable. Went in to purchase furniture for my living room, process went smoothly until time for delivery. They had ordered the wrong color which pushed my Saturday delivery date to Wednesday. Called the delivery company on Tuesday to confirm Wednesday delivery and was told I was not on the schedule. Went into the store they refunded my delivery cost but couldn't reschedule my delivery until the following Monday. We decided we would pick it up ourselves. Got to the warehouse and discovered the recliner I ordered was not in the correct color. At this point I'm just so pissed. I would need to return the piece and then reorder it, since I've had no furniture in my home for the past few weeks I just kept the ugly oatmeal colored recliner since it was going into my home office. I would say maybe don't come here if you want EXTREMELY good furniture that will last you 10 years, I actually ordered from their parent company (Regency Furniture, not sure if they're sister companies or have the manufacturer) a while ago and got a sectional and it was super comfy. I saw this same couch at Marlo so Im assuming same one. The cushions came out quite a bit but I got it so discounted that I didn't mind. I recently bought a new couch set specifically from Marlo and I love it! It's so deep, so soft and I loved the color. We were helped by William John and he gave us a HUGE discount - like 15% + a few extra bucks. He even threw in a mug for us! Luckily the couch was in stock so we got it in a few days, otherwise I know the shipping would be a few weeks. Horrible Experience with an Injury. Let me first say that I will sit on Milk Creates before I buy anything from this Laurel Store and will think long and hard about buying from the Marlow Chain. On May 30, 2021 while shopping for my grandson a bedroom set I sat on a bed display and the top corner caved in and my leg was trapped between the bed and frame. Not 1 person even the sales assistant even offered any assistance just the opposite. While at the cashier stand waiting to pay over $2200.00 the sales assistant told the Manager (Gerald) of the incident and his concern was resetting the display. When he returned he took the next customer in line and unbeknownst to him I was the next customer. He was laughing and making rude comments not knowing I was the person he was referring to. I decided not to make a fuss and continue with the purchase but my son wasn't having it. The next two days my legged & foot bruised and my foot hurt so bad I went for treatment. The pain lasted several weeks. I filed a complaint with the store and also cooperate with NOTHING but the run-a-round. They asked me what was it I wanted and I said at the very least my co-pay ($60.00) returned, again nothing. I have called, emailed and still to this day nothing (called again today). But the thing that bothers me the most is we were told a delivery date and for some reason it kept getting pushed back. Finally I canceled the order and had to pay a restocking fee (why restocking fee when we never got anything but OK). I really wish we looked on Yelp before going to this place to buy our dining room set. We stopped by Ashely's furniture store and that place was so overpriced that when we went to Marlo it made it seem so much cheaper but it's still fairly pricey. I will say that this location has a lot of options but when we walk in it doesn't seem to have a lot of people. They have a huge option of bedroom sets, living room sets, theater room recliners, etc. We ended up getting a dining room table with 6 chairs. It was very nice and fairly priced. The only thing was they didn't have it in stock. We bought this on July 27 and it is now November 15. We were under the impression that it would be ordered and delivered at least before Thanksgiving but not a single phone call, text, or email from them with any updates. We tried calling the store and no one ever picks up. Really wish we bought else where. read more

She immediately told me about the sale which included sales tax credit (this week only). I found the perfect piece for my home office and delivery is Tuesday! I went there on this past Sunday with my mom to look at sectionals since it's time for a new couch. My intentions going in was to see what was out there and make a decision at a later date because I didn't want to up a purchase and it doesn't fit my apartment (size and aesthetic). We were greeted by Thomas, who gave us an overview of the store, provided his suggestions and pretty much gave us our space to roam the store. He also suggested that we take pictures of what we like so that if we come back, he can point us in the right direction. The store is huge and many varieties of what I was looking for and a wide range of prices. It wasn't until we got to the very end that I found a sectional that was in my price range. Wasn't really the color I wanted but I can work with it by adding some accent pillows. Thomas as able to make sure that we got it at the price advertised and other negotiated items. He was very pleasant and not the pushy person just trying to get a sale. Hopefully the couch will come soon so I can get rid of this other one. read more

Unbelievable. This location reminds me of an overpriced thrift store... The only difference is, everything seems to be $1,000 or more. The quality to price ratio is completely off. You can find equivalent, or even better quality at your local Ross, TJ Maxx, Marshall's, etc. Don't waste your money here. We walked in and asked for help finding an item and the salesperson said we'd have to walk around the entire store because "no one could tell us what they had". What?? Save the trip- unless the words, "no credit needed, 0% interest rate..." interests you. If you check in, you save $50 off of your purchase of $1,000... There's currently a 60% off sale. Thee Worst Customer Service EVER! Would never recommend purchasing from thus store. In JULY we purchased a dining set and a lady named Autumn helped us in the show room. Customer service was good and they even gave us military discount. The conversation we had was that the dining table and 4 chairs were available but the extra two chairs we wanted were on back order. Fast forward to DECEMBER ( shows how patient we are) we have yet to receive our purchase. I did call there store but no one will answer the phone. They've hung up on me once it was answered and I had to go through the entire prompt AGAIN! I talked to a lady claiming she was the manager after 20+ phone calls trying to reach them and she didn't believe us when we were told that our purchase was going to be delivered in weeks and not months. That the earliest was Oct but the latest was Dec. She was not there for the conversation with Autumn so she has no say on what was said that day. I get that she probably was trying to back up her employee but to tell us we were lying about the information we were told was ridiculous. Today I called customer service instead of the store because I knew they weren't going to answer. Customer service said now that they had the chairs but the table is now DISCONTINUED!!!!!! So what does that mean for us? No delivery date insight. We've waited months and have been patient to be told to go back to the store we purchased to get a refund. We will be there this weekend. We are not happy with everything that we've been through and I would tell everyone to stay away from this store. 5 months. 5 WHOLE MONTHS!!! Don't believe me about answering their phone. Call them. First, I'd like to say that this is the first time we've had an issue with this company As we have bought sets from here before. For the experience this time, the delivery people said they couldn't fit it in the room.... I watched them not try different ideas and they just gave up, also it is bigger than a normal size door frame. We wended up going straight to the store hoping someone would straighten this out because this is just ridiculous. We asked for the store manager, there were 3 women at the desk and nobody identified them as managers. One lady explained that they usually have 11-13 stops in a day (which should not be my problem), and then they said they would have to take the furniture back to the warehouse before they can try again which will be on Wednesday which is is a whole week from now. So, we are left without furniture because Marlo couldn't do their job correctly. We got rid of our old set yesterday because we were not anticipating something so ridiculous happening. Like I said, we had another set delivered a year ago and it was fine. Anyways, the employees at the store didn't resolve anything with us, we asked for corporate's number because we figured someone above would know how to handle this properly and the lady gave us a customer service number instead, her name might be Tanice. Knowing very well that customer service can't do anything to help us. I'm a manager myself at a store and I am so embarrassed for how this company and store has handled this and I will tell everyone my experience. All in all, Marlo has poor customer service and showed no concern with taking accountability and making things right with the customer experience. So i suggest not risking the possibility of something going wrong and shop somewhere else. This furniture is located in a shopping center that, on the Sunday's, is completely empty. But the store itself is open but you can't really tell. The customer service is always great. Today was my first time purchasing but when I've gone In the past with my mom, they basically walk with you throughout the store and are resourceful. Our sales associate, Nadira was amazing! She was patient and gave us space while i looked for a dresser. After looking at a few, she was informative about the product and helped me make a good decision. The price was appropriate and we also received a Columbus Day sale. I would recommend this place if you're in the market for bedroom furniture. I wasn't in the market for anything else so i can't recommend it. But the location has a lot of helpful associates and if you go, i recommend Nadira, she's awesome! read more

I have been trying to contact this place for two days now. I was told my furniture would be in yesterday (9/7/2021), and that I would receive a call to set up delivery. I have not received a call nor have they answered the phone the past two days. It's annoying, unprofessional, and a waste of my time. I ordered 2 recliner chairs, 1 rocker and 1 power lift chair. I let the sales rep know that i needed the power lift chair before 09/02/21 because my father was going in to get both knees replaced and he was going to need that chair to help him get up. She told me to call by 11 am the next day and she could let me know when it was coming in and that if i could not get it by 09/02 that she could cancel the order. When i called the next day i was told that both chairs would be at the warehouse the week of August 16th. I just called CS to make sure everything was good and was told the rocker recliner had arrived but the power lift chair was not going to be at the warehouse until 09/20/21. it looks the sales person was just looking for sale and lied to me so she could get the sale. In these days of long waits and staff cutbacks, Marlo should remember that good customer service goes a long way. At the very least, the drivers could have rang the doorbell when they got no answer at the wrong phone number. Instead they chose to move on within one minute. I have never in my life experienced what I experienced in this store I got some items financed by Syncrony bank, I paid for delivery but some items were left out because the representative who attended to me was not available that is what I was told, I had to go and pick what I can put in my car, I still have not got the outstanding item I have called many times, reported to customer service nothing has been done to deliver my outstanding item and now the store has stopped picking my calls Rabi who attended to me am told is not available.
