I opted for the luxury haircut and beard service, and the quality for the price was truly exceptional. Ricardo completed the entire service in just under an hour, demonstrating incredible efficiency without ever making me feel rushed. There was a moment where I thought there might be a language barrier between us, but he spoke the most important language: hair! He understood exactly what I wanted. His technique was professional and incredibly gentle. I am prone to nicks and cuts at other places, but with Ricardo, I walked away without a single one--a genuinely rare and appreciated experience. As an unexpected detail, the aprons they use were the softest I've ever felt; they almost put me to sleep! Was from out of town and needed a quick cut on a Sunday before heading back home. Decided to try this place out as all other barbers open on Sunday are places like Great Clips. Stephanie took me as a walk in and did a great job. As a dude with longer and thicker hair, I just wanted a solid trim up. She did exactly what I was picturing and it was a good experience. I had an appointment this morning with Stephanie. (Hopefully this is how she spells her name.) I have hair that was thinning on top, and as a woman, I was a bit concerned with how I could style my hair, and still look good. I tried to go to a salon, but quite honestly I felt I was paying too much for the little bit of hair that I had left. I thought it was a bit ridiculous, AND I still wasn't satisfied with the style!!! Not everyone can be a wizard with clippers, so I decided to try a barber, after all, that's what they do! So I decided on Marlo's because of the location and Yelp reviews. I'm really glad that I made the call. My appointment was at 9:00am, so it wasn't busy. Stephanie asked me what I wanted and since I didn't have a ton of options, I told her to use her creativity and that I didn't want to be completely bald. I also told her that I wanted to look good even if I had thinning hair. I can tell you without a doubt that Stephanie is a magician!!! I am very happy with my new stylish haircut. I would take a pic, but I am older and really don't like putting my image on the web. But I assure you, I stopped at the store afterwards and a lady paid me a very nice compliment on my hair! Decided to try this place out a while back, never again, this white dude w tats took me as a walk in, i asked for a taper fade and dude didn't even fade, just straight buzz cutted me, something that i could've done in under 10 min, to make it all worse the buzz cut was patchy, on the ear area i still had parts of long hair, to not even mention this dude was grunting next to my ear like he just had a big meal or some, horrible experience, horrible cut, and for $25 i could've even done a better job than whatever tf he did to me read more

This barbershop I give 1 star. It was my first time here and I called before going to make sure it was a barbershop with barbers not cosmetologists. The lady answered the phone quickly which was great and she was very friendly. When I got there it was very easy to find which was awesome. They were all very welcoming. There were two barbers but currently had customers. I went to the lady chair and asked if she is a barber and can do a blade she said yes. I've never had a woman line me up so I asked her to just do my beard first and if I like it to do my head hair. She seemed confident at first but her hands became shaky the closer she got to the details. Which is okay, everyone has different levels. But my issue is she said she was done and asked if I have anything else for her to touch up. And I said no...expecting her to pull out a blade to get a close line up. She did not. So I asked her and she said she's a cosmetologist not a barber...so basically she overrated herself and made expectations she knew she couldn't fulfill. By then I had been there for 40 minutes and basically got a line up done with a trimmer which I can do at home..... I would not recommend that particular barber. Her name is Jessica walker. No offense to you sister, but you have to be honest about your skill set. Granted you can learn by practicing....do so on younger kids who may not care as much or at least put that expectation as opposed to promising quality result knowing you may or may not be able to... read more
