Couldn't recommend this place enough! I first spoke with Rose over the phone to book our…read morereservation and she was nothing short of super nice, helpful, and informative. I booked about a week in advance and Rose checked in multiple times over the phone/email to make sure we were still good on dates/times and if we had any questions at all that we forgot to ask. She even went as far as sending us pictures of where to park our cars since we don't live in the area and there can be spotty phone service near where the ranch is. Rose literally couldn't have been more helpful! Genevieve was our guide/instructor for the day and was just as above and beyond spectacular. Just like Rose, she was incredibly helpful and informative right from the jump, and even asked my fiancé if she had any preferences on what horse she wanted to ride since it was her birthday! Despite all of this, two other riders that were supposed to be riding with us were giving Genevieve a really hard time about wearing a helmet for the duration of the ride (among other obnoxious remarks). These people were incredibly rude, and had the audacity to act this way even though they showed up late to the ranch for the ride which held the group up. Genevieve handled this interaction as smoothly and professionally as anyone possibly could, and repeatedly went out of her way to apologize to my fiancé and I for any inconvenience that these people caused even though it wasn't her fault at all. Despite all of that, Genevieve remained super sweet, helpful, and informative throughout the entire duration of our ride. She even found some extra time for us at the end of the typical trail and took a whole bunch of awesome pictures for us where there was a really great view. Overall, Genevieve, Rose, and the horses gave my fiancé an absolutely amazing birthday. We had such an amazing time and will definitely be back! Thank you very much!

Booked 3 weeks ahead, cancelled on me 1 hour before arrival - then made me chase my own refund…read moreI booked with Twentynine Oaks Ranch three weeks in advance. An hour before I was supposed to arrive, while I was already on the road, I got a call cancelling my reservation due to smoke in the area. I understand there are liability concerns with air quality, so I'm not faulting the decision to cancel - but everything after that was a mess. On that same call, when she asked, I said I'd like a refund. Two weeks went by with no refund and no follow-up, so I called them. Their voicemail instructed me to leave a text message, which I did. Nothing. I texted again the next day. Still nothing. After three days of trying to reach someone about my own money, she finally picked up - and started yelling at me. It got worse from there. After that last call, she sent me nasty text messages and basically blamed me for not leaving my number. If reaching me was the problem, why not just call back or reach out politely? Instead of a simple, professional follow-up, I got hostility. Cancelling for safety is one thing. Ignoring a customer for two weeks, forcing them to chase a refund across multiple calls and texts, and then yelling and sending rude messages when they finally get through is completely unprofessional. I'd think twice before booking here.

I have been riding and showing horses for most of my life. I've worked with many different trainers…read moreall over the country in a number of different disciplines, competing at the national level, and Diane is hands down the best trainer I have ever worked with. I initially found Diane when I wanted to learn to jump for the collegiate equestrian team. She teaches jumping from a dressage point of view, so the rider learns how to be secure in their seat and communication with the horse, as opposed to just going along for the ride. In two summers I went from never jumping in my life to being able to safely jump 4 ft. fences and be comfortable on almost any horse. I am now riding dressage with Diane and I have learned more in a few years riding with her than I have in over a decade with other trainers. Her teaching style is very straightforward and honest, and she knows when to push forward, when to change tactics, and when to step back, which is so rare in any type of instruction. Diane is truly a world class instructor and trainer, if you are looking for a place to ride don't hesitate to call her!

I must say that @Schott in the Dark Farms honestly is the best place to learn how to ride horses…read more 3 months ago, when I started, I could never imagine that I would be able to stand up while the horse is walking. Today I can do not only that but also have confidence that I can control the horse with my seat and built a strong foundation of knowledge all around the sport. Diane is a fantastic teacher and take her time to explain the reasons behind everything that she teach. You get to groom the horse every class, which makes you connect to the animal on another level. All animals are kept is best shape and conditions. I always feel like home when I go to my classes. Highly recommend! I met some of their young students and was amazing by level of confidence that the kids build with Diane's help. She also works with kids that have disabilities and they all achieve amazing results!
