Fantastic unique concept! I was visiting from MN and happened to stumble across MARN as we were out shopping in the Third Ward. It was the coffee advertising that caught our eye, not necessarily the art sign. Contrary, upon entry, I was impressed between the blend of coffee and art. I can't say (even in MN and from other travel) that many spots exist like this. MARN has gorgeous windows allowing for natural light to filter in and has a very different vibe from a typical coffee house. If you come here, think library, zen garden, meditation quiet. If I was a MKE resident, I would 100% work remotely from this space as the lighting is perfect for on camera calls. In addition, the art work is brilliant and nice to browse if you wait for a coffee or are out shopping. My barista was totally friendly and we made small talk. I learned she made the crotched items in the shop and followed her on social media. She was extremely helpful and recommended me some alternatives to the matcha including one with cinnamon which her dad orders. I'll never forget this day because it was totally unique in every way. I wish you great success, MARN!

It's the 2nd time that I stop in here this week ! The environment is very neat. It's definitely a nice work/ relaxation area. The white on the chairs, walls and tables really makes the place feel very light and welcoming. I will most definitely be back in again.

Very cool new coffee and wine bar of in the third ward. This place definitely fills a void of coffee shops in the Third Ward in Milwaukee (only one i know of that remains is Anodyne inside the Milwaukee Public Market). There is a ton of space in this spot to work from and to admire very unique art (its a MARN owned space which has montly rotating art gallery). Downside: Since its student/ working professional run, they aren't the best baristas and might have things on the menu that they have run out of. Also their coffee was 8$ which I think is definitely expensive for what it was. Will give it another chance for sure.

Art and coffee? I'm in. Met a friend to work- grabbed a coffee and a tea. Service fast and friendly. And, I enjoyed the art installation as I popped to the restroom. Great space. I'll be back.

Chai tea latte and vanilla latte

The atmosphere was clean, chic and inviting. They have a mini area for their merch as you step in. We were immediately greeted by a friendly gal. When we got to the bar, we asked what kind of lattes they had and the baristas said the only had chai, vanilla and hazelnut. I ordered a chai latte with my coffee bun and my friend ordered a vanilla latte. We sat down at our table and when we poured the water into the glass, we noticed that the glass was DIRTY. There were still lipstick stains on the glasses. Gross. We had to ask another glass and the girls were friendly about it. The drinks came out rather fast but the chai latte was luke warm and watered down. I did not really taste the "chai" in it. I would not get again. However, my friends vanilla latte was good and flavorful. About 15-20 minutes go by and we realized that our pastries haven't come out. We thought they just forgot so we had to asked one of the baristas for it and one of them got slightly defensive about it. After they came out, I was a little disappointed since the coffee bun was really stale and cold. The texture tasted like the bread they give you on a United Flight. I would not recommend the coffee bun. Overall: Atmosphere: 10/10 Drinks: 5/10 Pastries: 2/10 Service: 5/10 Total: 22/40 so 3 stars. Would I give it another chance? Yes! I'll try the wine next time. It's a really cool place but baristas def need more training!

Interval coffee is one of my favorites in town, and I am so excited that they are now in my neighborhood! MARN is the Milwaukee Artist Resource Network, and they have a beautiful space displaying art of all kind. The wine and coffee bar is run by Interval, and it's DELICIOUS. The pastries and food menu also looked amazing! Gorgeous space. High ceilings. Exposed brick. Comfortable seating. It's hitting all of my favorite points! I'll be back!

What a hidden gem. MARN is an art gallery plus wine bar and cafe. It's a art loving, wine loving hipster's dream. The interior is hip and bright, and all the traces of art strewn all around will definitely inspire you if you're there for work. There's plenty of seating scattered throughout the gallery. There's a seating area with a sofa tucked away in the corner as well. This place is great for catching up with friends, or for getting work done. I came on a Tuesday afternoon, and the cafe wasn't busy. Drinks are a tad on the pricey side, but I do feel like you're paying for the atmosphere mostly. I got the matcha lavender latte--it was good but nothing special. I would not come here expecting to be blown away by their drinks, but I would come just to soak in the atmosphere alone. Will definitely be back!

A pleasant atmosphere. Drink your cappuccino or your personal favorite drink while walking around their art gallery or sit and enjoy people watching through their large front Windows. A very pleasant way to kill some time while waiting for theater across the street. As at any proper coffee shop you are allowed to sit and use your laptop for work or school ....

A new cool, student-run coffee bar in Third Ward. Bright, aesthetic, and spacious. Lots of event space as well. Their espresso beans are from a Cincy roaster (not for sale) and cold brew is from Interval. The barista, a very friendly lady, told me that the place will become a multi-roaster-experience coffee bar after the grand opening. I got a cold brew and a cortado. Cold brew got the nice wine-like body & the naturally sweet flavor. The cortado was rich, smooth, at the right temperature and not smoky at all. The natural sweetness from the milk perfectly cut the acidity of the strong espresso. I think the barista did a great job in steaming the milk and the coffee shop did a great job in sourcing and roasting the espresso blend too.

Popped in for coffee, left relaxed and refreshed. I would order again the not too sweet olive oil cake that is served warm with aromatic drip coffee. Complimentary carafes of water and glasses are available on each table. Most are working on their laptops near the window. The music, lighting and furniture is calming, but does not put you to sleep. I'll gladly return when I need a recharge.

Place is a great spot to work away! Wine list, coffee. Not a full bar but calm atmosphere, big windows, good wifi. Art installation makes you feel classy AF. Small menu but delicious. Wish they'd bring back the flatbread. My past experience here has been excellent, personalized customer service. This past time they didn't acknowledge my presence even though I was 1 of only 4 people. Kind of weird. Maybe they're new? Personable, knowledgeable staff was a key element so hope they don't lose that!

Another hidden gem in the Third Ward! This is a great place to stop in when I'm the midst of shopping or errands. Love the wine and pastries. The olive oil cake is delish!! The art is great too. Such a neat place to walk around and soak in the art, then grab a glass of rosé or coffee. They have good gift options too with the smaller art. Would definitely recommend!! I always bring visitors in if we are in the Third Ward.

"Me and the Mountain" exhibit by Daniel Fleming

My husband and I had and I stopped by for the Me and the Mountain exhibit. As with any business in the Third Ward, parking was difficult. It was a Tuesday night around 6:00 and I was able to find some two streets down so it was a quick walk. I could see the large windows from the corner and identified the location but it took me a minute to figure out which door was theirs. The space is absolutely gorgeous. Upon entering, they have a merch, pamphlets on events, and various pieces of local art for sale. There is a full bar with a decent wine and beer selection. They had a signature drink titled Devil at the Disco which was made with tequila in honor of Cinco de Mayo. I loved it! They also serve coffee drinks which I did not try, but plan to do so soon. For this event, they had a local singer who was phenomenal. We enjoyed lounging with our drinks as much as we enjoyed viewing the art. There was also a stand with different finger foods and wine for purchase. These were very high end and could add another level to your next dinner party! I would love to spend the rest of my day here after a work lunch in the area. They utilize the space well for leisure or business. I highly recommend you check them out!

I was staying nearby, an was planning a little picnic, I knew theif wine shop would be perfect. They have the bar setup in the middle, but I was feeling a bit crushed by all the people and just perused around the bottle area. Their selection is fantastic. They have it separated by location and cover all price points. Everyone can find something. I was given space to look around. Twice someone asked me if I needed help, but it was polite and not pushy. Once I found a Montepulciano I was interested in, someone came over from the bar to check me out. I asked him if it was possible to get one of the cheese trays to go, and was told it was no problem. He would ring it up for me and get right on it. He offered me a seat at the bar while I waited, but I was happy just looking at their other wine options. The cheese plate was super tasty, and a really good value at $15. There were four cheeses, grapes, almonds, crasins, and bread. We really liked the selection and were impressed with the size. Seriously nothing but good things to say. A wonderful reason to visit the market.

Staff was not prepared at all, actually telling people the guy who usually does speech did not come and they do not know what to say actually. For any alcohol you will buy you will pay in addition which is fine BUT the price for that drink(s) will be surprising you a lot. For 5 sake drinks the bill was around $370. Last two glasses were having less sake than first glasses we were provided, probably because people who already drunk something would not notice the difference. It's ok to have expensive alcohol pairing with high end dinner but in this case the sake was very regular. By the way, at bar 10 steps away from the Dark room (same hotel, same floor, same the floor area) the same sake did cost $23 for two glasses. Well... I understand people try to run business and earn money but everything should not cross some decency borders. These guys did cross the line in my opinion. Alcohol prices are not mentioned in Menu by the way. I do not recommend this place not only due to drinks pricing policy but due to "ok" food/service/price ratio
