I started going to Pomeroy because my coworkers sister was there bartending on Monday night book nights and he suggested I check it out (being the avid reader that I am). They do SUCH a great job with weekly activities - Monday night book night, Tuesday night Chess club, and Sundays $1 off if you bring your dog! A great place to hang out with like minded individuals and spur up random conversations with both bartenders and patrons. I was worried to go to a bar to read, but the setting was perfect. They do not serve food, but their beer selection is top notch. Play a game of Guinness golf while you're at it!

Pomeroy is a cool spot in Walker's Point. Super neat decor and ecletic look inside - tons of different options to sit that are public or private. Great selections of beers, THC drinks and NA options - one of the best selection of NA options I've seen. They have so many great events that go on regularly -like book club, Irish music night etc. They also have a Guinness beer challenge to split the G. Super fun!

Love coming here! I used to come over the summer for chess nights and they would always have free hotdog snacks it was so much fun! Now in the winter I come a little less but this time my boyfriend and I came during a little snow blizzard to get a drink and play some cards. This entire place is so cozy, all the wood makes it feel warm and approachable, the seating is comfortable and accessible. And the drinks are exceptionally priced. Also, cheers to the bartender! He's been the same bartender each time we come so it's nice to have a familiar face haha

Had a great first visit to Pomeroy on their opening opening, and this Draft & Vessel business serves up great craft beer, and also draft cocktails and wines. It's a gorgeous space, a great addition to Walker's Point, and I got to meet the owner, who had just finished constructing some beautiful lattice woodwork over the booths on opening day. Some tables have beautiful inlayed artwork about "the history of craft beer," "the history of Draft & Vessel", etc. and it's a comfortable space to belly up to the many bar spots, tables for two, three, six. Service at the bar is friendly! And the bar had a conviviality on opening day, and I ran into friends checking it out as well. I'm a fan of Draft & Vessel's other businesses in Tosa and the original Shorewood location, and can't wait to become a regular at Pomeroy.

I dropped into this little gem on a Sunday morning with friends for Bloody's and Bagels. I opted for just a bloody, but it was really good! It wasn't watery or bland, and had some solid garnishes from the pickle, cheese and pickled onion. The space itself is really cute! I loved the look of the booths with the arching lights and how they are tucked away. The fact that you can also bring your dogs into this space, is always a highlight for me. The service was quick and friendly too, kindly bringing us waters for both our party and the pups. I didn't love the music that started around 11am though, as it was a lot harder to hear conversations, but I may just be getting old. Would definitely come back for the range of options they have at the bar!

Highlights 1) Friendly Service 2) Cool Vibe 3) Great Drink Selection What a welcome addition to the neighborhood! We are so glad we got to try Pomeroy during their "soft opening"this week. We stopped in on a Wednesday night after dinner and chatted with the bartender for awhile. We really enjoyed our time with him! The vibe and ambiance of Pomeroy is really nice. A great mix of modern and vintage with Milwaukee maps etc. The couch/lounge are was under construction still when we were there but it's going to add a lot to the space! Great selection of draft cocktails, wine and beer. We loved it! Can't wait to be back!

Stopped here on a recommendation from others. Very fun space and great service. The drinks are on tap, which is an interesting concept. The decor is really great.

They do a tremendous job of explaining the menu and food options in detail, and ensure you have a great experience from start to finish. The drinks? Nothing short of amazing. They vary the featured cocktails menu every 8 weeks, so most likely you'll get a different experience every time you go. However you can always get your classic cocktails like Margaritas, French 75 and Martinis. They also can do any drink NA which is the first of its kind in the US. They have an option called dealers choice, where you can pick the spirit and flavor profile of the drink you want: spicy, sour, floral, smoky etc. no limits! You write down on a card what you want and they craft you a cocktail based on your selections. They also offer a variety of food pairings to go along with the select, featured drink you order. We got spring rolls, a braised, pork infused doughnut, and an incredible bone broth that still has me in a tizzy. Fair warning: it's small and difficult to get a reservation - don't try your luck walking in, this place is a hot ticket and you won't be able to get in without a resy, which could be weeks or months out. This is a true gem of a cocktail bar, and is as good as anything you would find in New York or Chicago.

We stopped here after dinner, so we stuck mostly with the cocktails. Unfortunately, nothing on the seasonal menu really stuck out to me. I stuck with the "traditional" cocktails (spicy watermelon bubblegum, and then banana daiquiri). Hubs went for the halo halo food (which was so cute! All the typical ingredients but served in cubist fashion), and the paired drink. The paired drink was supposed to have different layers of flavor, but they all mixed together quite a bit. Tasty, just not the "layered" experience we thought. I think they almost do themselves a disservice comparing themselves to the aviary - that is a crazy high bar to meet. Granted, maybe we would have been more impressed if we had more of the seasonal cocktails despite them not seeming interesting? Probably wouldnt go out of my way to go here again, but it is a cool vibe and the cocktails were good.

I had heard about the Tin Widow's holiday pop up being one of the best area, the hype was not wrong. From the entrance to the ceiling and walks, this place is the definition of deck the halls. Unless you get here right when they open it early in the holiday season, I would expect a crowd. The drink menu is so fun with holiday themed drinks served in matching glassware. You can even purchase the glass/mug for an additional fee. A lot of the cocktails looked to be batched cocktails which help with the bartender's efficiency. Highly recommend making this place a holiday stop. I'm also curious to stop in after the holidays to experience it without all the holiday decor.

They had several seasonal cocktails in special festive cups, which you could also buy to take home. I got the Cheery Cherry Chocosaurus, which was good, but pricey for what it was. Almost all the seasonal drinks were $15 each and didn't seem too big. The venue itself is medium sized, but feels crammed quickly. There's more people let in at a time than there is seating, so you have to move fast to get a seat. I'll likely come back during the summer to try something else.

It'll turn you into a cheese connoisseur if you're not already one. I fell in love with Gouda cheese as soon as I took a bite. We tried a classic cheese flight board and red wine only flight to pair with the different types of cheese. They made it into a gluten free spread so we had four types of cheese in lieu of the seasoned dried meat and gluten free crackers. The place is inviting, has nice decorations, great for going on a date or a casual catch up with your bestie. The staff was very knowledgeable and helpful. While the menu is limited and not cheap, staff were very friendly and walked us through everything before we selected a couple of things to try. Pretty much all of the cheeses and accoutrements were fantastic! One of the cheese on our plate was the espresso version of Bellavitano, which happens to be one of my favorites, so that was a nice little bonus for me. In addition to the board, we also went with the ricotta bites, which featured one sweet and one savory option, both of which we also really liked. The shop is cozy and if this was somewhere that I lived walking distance from, I could totally see myself coming here fairly regularly and having a little cheese and ambiance. During our time there we saw both couples on dates and old friends gathering for a drink and a nosh, all of which I found just wonderful. Really the only thing keeping this from a five star review was that the side items, such as the crackers were not plentiful enough for the cheese. I know that ratio can be hard to nail but it was not quite on the mark here, unfortunately. However, that would not be enough to prevent me from returning!
