First of all, that first reviewer that wrote that awful review is ENTIRELY wrong and that review should be taken down! Maro is absolutely FANTASTIC and she DOES NOT wear a ton of makeup; she is beautiful. And even if she wore all the makeup in the world, WHO CARES?? It's what and how she does brows that is important. I had an eyebrow transplant and spent a lot of money for those brows, and only Maro is allowed to touch them. This woman KNOWS what she is doing... she will look at your face and tell you what brow shape will best fit your face far better than any of these other salons who only wax. You cannot get a beautiful shape just from waxing. I have gotten more compliments on my brows since going to her than I have ever gotten before! She charges $40 or less, not $45, for a shaping and, let me tell you, you will not regret it. First she shows you the shape and then creates the shape by tweezing hair by hair. She spends A LOT of time with each client and makes sure every shape she creates is perfect. If you are looking for an EXCELLENT place to go, Maro is the place! read more

Okay, so i was too tired to drive to may goto eyebrow person in the city and thought I would try this place close to my home. You would think a business that is devoted soley to eyebrows as part of their title would know what they were doing--WRONG!! You walk in and it part of some cluster of stores with 1 entrance--very fleamarket feel--first ding. Then you walk into a cramped atmosphere with hundreds of eyeshadows opened and it seemed like Maro was wearing them all herself--second ding. I told Maro what i was looking for a sculpted arch--and SHE LECTURED me as to what was right for me--3rd ding. Next she spent very little time working on my eyebrows and when she told me I was finished I was disappointed at the very least--4th ding. She spent the whole time talking about he she worked and knew Charles Ifergan and left because he did not understand her (rolling my eyes--please)--5th ding and then finally she charged me $45....that's right...an outrageous price!!!! I caution folks not to go here. She does NOT know what she is doing. I went in today and she started waxing - right away I guess my skin had an allergic reaction. Probably because her items are not clean. (I do waxing and facials all the time at Bliss and many other spas). She started lecturing me and complaining. AS she kept working on my face. She immediately stopped the waxing and started tweezing. But she was angry and she was working so quick I didn't have time to respond. I told her I could leave. She said she would finish what she started but in her words, "I have a million clients and if I had to tweeze them all my hands would kill me. You are taking some kind of medication because people don't react that way to waxing." I confirmed with her I am not on medication but it made be realize - of course she should be asking some pre-questions. She asked if I used any products and I said of course. I am a woman - I use items to wash my face, moisturizer, make-up, etc. She was horrible. My right eye above the brow is swollen. She told me to keep applying Neosporin and it should be fine in a day or two. She then had enough nerve to say I had to pay more because I caused her too much time. She charged me $50 and when I pulled out a credit card (I knew to pay where there would be a transaction trace because I will report her to BBB) she laughed and rolled her eyes. She should not be in business. Please spread the word because she does not deserve a license to work. I hope this is helpful to others. read more
