Editing from my first review: i've now gone back for more eyebrow shaping and it definitely has gotten better. If like the rest of the women there, want the perfect shaped brow, you might have to wait and ask for Sesha to do your brow. First experience (a month ago) was great - my eyebrows looked amazing and i had a good session where they told me to grow it out so they could fix it better the next time One month later - i go back in and i'm now writing this review with god horrid eyebrows. Over-threaded and very thin and so unbalanced. I'm looking forward to getting it cleaned. Honestly amazing prices - but i will not be back unfortunately. read more

Accidentally found this place and I'm glad I did. Walked in, no wait. Glanced at the prices. Eyebrow threading for $4! Can't beat that. A lady did my eyebrows. They were decent, but one wasn't straight. Sesha (the owner) came over and gently directed her, then took over the task herself. She fixed them just how I wanted and even told me what I could use to grow the ends back (from years of waxing too thin). I'll definitely be returning. read more

I go here for waxing my arms and legs, threading my eye brows and recently to cleanse my face!!! every time the experience has been nothing but satisfactory. I go here b/c they are fast and cheap. The staff is very friendly too :) I have never had problems with walk- ins. But if i am going for waxing, I just let them know just in case and then I am in and out in 15 mins!! Threading and waxing services - decent job, great price. Customer service - horrendous. I walked in today and there were 2 girls ahead of me, one in the chair. All three were having full face and neck waxing and threading. A single person was working. After waiting 30 minutes and her being only halfway done with the second face, i left. Any decent business would not take walk-ins for services that take more than 15 minutes. Alternatively, when a customer walks in, they should be given an estimated wait-time. It's not my job to ask everyone ahead of me what services they are getting. Unfortunately with the paucity of salons that do threading, i will most likely return, but not without scheduling an appointment first. read more

Never again. I went here to get my eyebrows threaded for my wedding the following day. Typically, I go to the Cutting Edge for my threading needs. I was on my way to pickup my groom's cake in Hinsdale, so I checked here on Yelp for a nearby salon that would do my eyebrows quickly. Sesha's got good reviews, so I decided to come here. I was in this salon for almost an hour. Why? There were only two employees in the salon. It seemed like they do their services by first come first serve. There were two girls waiting ahead of me. After I wrote my name on the list I sat down waiting. I was greeted, but they didn't ask what service I needed. I continued to sit. 5 min. later, another girl came in to ask how long the wait is, one of the girls said 15 min. Okay, I can handle that. 30 min. later, I'm still waiting. It took the one girl who was threading one of the girls ahead of me about 10-15 min. alone to finish her eyebrows. Then, she did her upper lip! Ugh! The other girl in the salon was doing a hair color then a brazillian wax. (By the way, we can hear the girl screaming from the wax. That's not good. I've had pain free Brazillians. I should have told that screaming girl to go to my waxing salon.) The worst part was when one of the girls got served next, she had asked for a facial after her threading, and the girl started that service for her! Now I have to wait longer! Finally, I got served. Again, this was about an hour later. Was the wait worth it? No. It wasn't. My eyebrows turned out alright, not spectacular. I wasn't even offered aloe vera for my just threaded eyebrows and lips. This salon needs to rethink things here. Maybe they should have more than two girls working at a time. Also, instead of walk-ins, just do appointment only services. It just doesn't seem efficient as it could be. Bottom line, don't bother coming here if you think you're gong to get a quick service. read more

Sesha is the only person I go to for threading and waxing she is a fantastic esthetician. Her prices are affordable and her salon is overall wonderful. As for any other quality service there is sometimes a small wait. It is never more than a few minutes and she always acknowledges her waiting clientele. I'm super picky about my eyebrows, and after moving out of the city I was worried I wouldn't find a good threading salon. I found Sesha's on yelp and I'm so glad I did! It's the best threading salon that I've found in this area! The ladies here are SO nice and do very consistent work. The prices are very fair, I think about $6 for eyebrow threading. In comparison to Rivaz (well known threading salon on Ogden Ave), I've found that Sesha's: -is more reasonably priced -does MUCH more consistent work -does not offer lotion or aloe vera after threading...hopefully they start doing this because it's almost necessary when you feel like your skin is on fire! read more

I do not live in the area but always take my car to Meineke near this salon. I have never noticed the salon before. When leaving a recent car appointment I was driving north on Cass Ave and noticed a sign near the st. advertising "$20 Full Arm Wax". I am an esthetician, and typically do my waxing myself, but thought this is very CHEAP, and will be fast (much faster than having to wait for my wax pot to melt my wax). I NEEDED an arm wax, and decided to drop in to see if there was someone free. The owner greeted me and told me she could do it right away. Now, I know I was not at a resort spa, but her space was very clean, neat, and comfortable. She was very quick with the wax leaving my skin smooth and soft, and finished up with oil to clean and hot towel service. No fancy store front, but was a lovely little space. I think she is extremely fair in her pricing. It was worth the stop. read more

I've been going to Sesha for years and no one can do eyebrows as well as her. She is very pleasant and courteous and has always been easy to talk to. I now take my teenager to her for threading and waxing and she too has found it to be a good experience. I have always recommended Sesha to people who are new to the area and ask me where to go. I found this salon by chance, and I'm so glad I did!! Talk about bang for your buck. $5 eyebrow threading that was practically painless, took about 2 minutes, and looks perfect! No worry about having them uneven, too thin, or my least favorite, too wide of a gap between brows. I said it was my first time there and mentioned loving henna tattoos, and they gave me the most intricate, beautiful one I've ever seen- for free! The staff is SO friendly and welcoming. The salon wasnt flashy from the surrounding stores, but the inside is beautiful! So clean and nice. I can't wait to go back and try some of their other offered treatments!! read more
