Incredible caring by the staff who work together so well. I was a RN for 40 years and they are the best of the best. So caring, kind, attentive and take great care even in unpleasant circumstances. I would give them 10 stars if I could. The facility isn't fancy but if your loved requires care you will not find a better staff. My husband was a patient for 3 weeks. read more

Run don't walk away from this place. Don't look at the pretty photos and think "oh my that's nice!" Tour the place, eat a meal, and see for yourself. Some of the staff are just the sweetest but the food is horrible, (most of it cold when you get it and all of it is processed premade sodium laden, crap!) This is no place to heal from an injury. I got out as soon as I could! I was there in March 2023 after getting out of the hospital with multiple injuries. The day before I left they had ANOTHER COVID outbreak and my room was no longer available in order to use it for COVID-19 patients. At night on the weekend there were gunshots outside my room, cars racing their engines and a homicide a few blocks away. Being in the first floor and having a room so blazing hot, I had to open my window to keep from burning up! How scary was THAT? There aren't enough words to describe how awful my stay was. It took forever for them to respond to a call light. I wasn't supposed to walk by myself but the alternative was soiling myself so you bet I walked by myself! Luckily I didn't fall Reviews by anyone other than a recent patient should be taken lightly. The experience of visitors is likely very different than the experience of patients. read more

My elderly and very frail mother just concluded a two month stay at Marquis Centennial for rehabilitation after a dislocated artificial hip. They were fantastic. The staffing was always adequate and they were always on top of her care, including catching a bout of pneumonia early enough that it was easily treated. They were responsive to any questions and concerns we had and had a great bedside manner. They worked very hard to keep Mom comfortable and working toward the goal of going home. They didn't talk down to or patronize Mom - who was an educated, professional woman during her working years. The facility was always clean and kept in order. As she has aged, mom has been in several rehab facilities for various surgeries and I have to say Marquis Centennial is hands down the best. I highly recommend this facility and its staff. read more

Most of the CNA and nursing staff there are very kind to my mom who has been there now for almost 5 months with a broken neck. She can barely hold a cup of water and barely feed herself. She needs consistent help. Her charts indicate she needs checking in on every 2hours and she was to have her mouth brushed twice day. This is practically never done. She has to constantly wait long period of times to be changed, sometimes up to an hour and they have almost dropped her from the hoyer lift or wheelchair on multiple occasions. My sisters and I have to constantly be with her because we are concerned about her needs not being met. We've gone to the administrative team multiple times to try make them aware of the situations we have experienced with our mom to give them an opportunity to correct, yet it still happens. Almost always the staff is never on the same page when it comes to insurance coverage, one minute we are told one thing and the next its something entirely different. It took the rehab team over a month to get a prescribed neck collar for my mom. Every time we asked them where it was they always had some excuse as to where it was, then when it finally showed up they said it was because the wrong one was ordered. It took them over 7 weeks to finally give my mom a shower, their excuse was the doctor said she was never to take her neck collar off. Seems an intelligent person would of reached out to the doctor to clarify, for hygiene purposes, but nope, we had to initiate everything when it came to clarification with her doctor, insurance, etc. Super disappointed in this place, we can't get our mom out of there fast enough. read more

Both of my folks had stays in the Marquis Centennial in Gresham. My father was back the beginning of 2016 and my mom just got out this month (May, 2018). They both received consistently wonderful care. My mom is 92 and had a leg bypass surgery with some very nasty leg wounds needing specialized wound care, as well as she could barely push herself out of bed. After spending about 4 weeks under their great care, she is as vibrant as ever and back to doing her exercise classes, etc. We have so many wonderful people to thank, Mary, Nattily, Eric, Irene (one of many great nurses), fabulous physical therapists, etc. Everyone made her stay as enjoyable as possible and were always extremely attentive. We highly recommend the Marquis! So many smiling faces made it fun to visit. read more

My son was a resident in the skilled nursing section of this amazing place. The staff is sooooo caring, professional, and hard working. My son needed a longer hospital bed. Within a very short amount of time, this need was met. All of the staff is soooo accommodating. It is very clean. I highly recommend this for your loved ones. read more

I was released from Mt Hood Medical Center to Marquis Centennial and spent three weeks there. CNA stff was great but there were not enough of them and it frequently took a half hour for them to respond to the call light at night. The management says they are short staffed and then hire "agency" nurses and CNA staff. These "agency" workers do not know where supplies are and did not follow facility guidelines- for example I was taken to a shower, the CNA started the water and then left saying other patients needed her. It took me 7-8 minutes to get her attention and then I told her that she was not to leave me alone in the shower. She said she did not know that. (!) If the facility is having trouble staffing shifts, better pay and working conditions would likely solve the issue. Food- typical corporate prepackaged fare- Sysco makes deliveries several times during the week. When the kitchen staff prepares food it it is better. Too much artifical sugar and fats in nearly everything. Fresh fruit and veggies are available but you have to request them specifically. You can open the windows and get some fresh air- a real treat after the stuffy hospital. Physical therapy helped me a lot with my stiff fingers and wrists due to arythritis. Were skimpy suppling incontinence products so some supplies were sequestered in the rooms of patients who needed them and were on the ball. Bring products that fit you and don't depend on Marquis to supply you adequtely. read more

i know they have a cronavirus visitor restriction and i wanted to visit my mom in there ,i showed up at the back door on march 14th 2020 at 10am and would not let me in to see my mom,, and the lady at the door told me NO VISITERS WERE A LOUD,,, this should mean EVERYONE if they are concerned about the virus,,,,,well my mom has a roommate and the marquis centennial let her roommates daughter in the room the lady told someone that she has to feed her mom,, RIGHT SO WHY DID THE LADY SHOW UP 1 HOUR AFTER LUNCH when the food tray was already gone and why did they let the lady visitor stay in the room but not me ,,and the staff should have kicked her out ,, well i lost my dad and my moms husband 2 weeks ago and my family needs to visit my mom not very happy at that place,, read more

I highly recommend this rehabilitation center. The Nursing staff and CNA's are highly skilled, compassionate and very professional.

Caring and professional staff. Family should monitor and advocate for their loved one in any facility and that is welcomed here. OT/PT is great, nurses listen to you and CNAs are so kind. Thank you! read more

The first night I was there they " couldn't find" my meds. Most of the nurses apparently not trained to do a pic line infusion. I did not feel comfortable receiving them. On two different occasions the nurse had to go get help and twice I had to remind them to put on gloves. Most of the CNA's were great and all of the physical and occupational were great! The food, considering was not bad. I have had worse meals in a restaurant. But all in all when it comes to the most important issues, safety and medical competency they failed. read more

I am a CNA2/live-in care giver and my lady was sent to Marquis Cennenntial after a fall. From the time she was admitted until she was d/c there was no teamwork amongst the staff. No one seemed to know what was being done in her care plan which made her care very unorganized and incompetent. This place left a bad and sad feeling in my heart. read more

I observed serious symptoms in my father two days before he was to be released. I alerted the staff and they told me he was fine and there was nothing to worry about, and he would still be released in 2 days. I was adamant he needed more care, not less which fell on deaf ears. They said he was ready to be released although he had severe confusion, edema, weakness, was cold to the touch etc. We prepaid for 3 more days even though he had over 20 days left on medicare. We spent over $3000 finding him a new home and moving his belongings. Then less than one day into the 3 day extension we paid for we were called by a new nurse telling us he had "severe confusion, edema, weakness, was cold to the touch etc." and he was being transported to the hospital, where he passed away within 24 hours. Then they refused to issue a full credit for the prepayment. I would never send another loved one to this place. read more
