I was previously a tenant with Harcourts Prime Properties at one of their apartments on Bagley Ave…read morein Twentynine Palms and never encountered any issues. The AppFolio app made it extremely easy to submit maintenance requests and pay rent electronically. The maintenance staff are experienced as well. During my tenancy, Sarah was consistently responsive to my texts, calls, and emails whenever I needed assistance. A few years later, after moving into my own home, I unexpectedly had to leave Twentynine Palms for work and needed help managing my property while I was away. Harcourts Prime Properties immediately came to mind because of the trust I had built with them over the years. Just like Sarah, Zach has been excellent to work with, providing clear, timely communication throughout the property management process. Highly recommended!

They're responsive, proactive, and incredibly organized--exactly what you hope for when you hand over the day-to-day operations of a multifamily property. Tenant issues are handled quickly and professionally, maintenance requests don't sit around, and communication is always clear and timely. They've done a great job keeping the property stable, reducing headaches, and giving us confidence that things are being managed the right way. If you're looking for a team that actually follows through, treats tenants with respect, and manages with an owner's mindset, Harcourts is the one to call. Highly recommend.

I was amazed by how responsive and profession the staff at Western Home Builder are. Sandra was responsive and professional during my move out inspection. I also want to say I was incredibly impressed by their maintenance man, Kirk. He had redone the home before I rented it and it was done so well! Every detail was wonderfully done- no painting over holes or outlets. THANK YOU WHB for being incredibly professional, you made my move out there a breeze!

Took almost 2 months to get a brand new washer fixed with little to no follow up from management. Frustrating to say the least and just as a FYI there are no laundry mats in 29 Palms. 2. Whoever the new woman is working there (Sandra) could benefit from some email etiquette training. When your primary form of communication is via email it would benefit you to sound remotely professional. 3. Overall the management/owners were unprofessional and rude. I was continually confused about why I was asked to fill work orders out with details that were blatantly not reviewed prior to coming to the unit. Received email warnings about "excess animal waste" outside our unit when we didn't have a pet at the time. There aren't many options in 29 and it seems Western Home Builders seems to be aware of the lack of competition with how unprofessional they are. If you have to deal with them be prepared for some of the most subpar customer service there is and bring your patience because you'll need it.

I stayed in an Airbnb with this company. This company is a little unorganized in how they manage…read moretheir properties and cannot take criticism well. I can see from their responses on here that I am not the only one who was blamed for the problems that occurred during our stay. I feel the need to make a thorough review since the response to my review on Airbnb seemed to need clarification on the timeline of when/how things went down. When we arrived, the manager came unexpectedly to take photos of the place before we settled in. No big deal, but thought it was weird that they weren't prepared for us. After the manager left, we noticed the gas was left on and propane tanks were empty on both the fire pit and the grill. We messaged them on Airbnb right away. While we were waiting for a response, we found two propane tanks on the side of the house, so we hooked them up to the grill and fire pit, which is when we noticed the grill was not working. I guess the message about the propane was received (although no response yet at this time) because the manager came back to drop off one tank of propane in which she dropped off by the gate without saying anything. As I saw her car leave, I waved her down to come back because the grill still did not work. She came to look at the grill, and then sent a maintenance person out to us. Thankfully the problem was fixed within 2.5 hours after we checked in. Additionally, the little pool on the property was not clean, the hot tub was low on water (the jets would spray water everywhere unless 3+ people were inside at the same time), and the remote for the light in one of the bedrooms was missing. I know nothing is perfect, I'm a reasonable person. I posted a respectable, honest, and nice review on Airbnb, but simply mentioned the hiccups that occurred. I even left a 4 star review. Their reply was surprisingly petty, blaming us for the problems that occurred. On the public airbnb response, they claimed that me and my guests checked-in early, and if we would have just checked in on time, the problems would have been fixed on time for our check-in. They also said that when the manager came to take photos of the place initially, that's when she discovered the grill was broken. That is not how it went down. She took photos of the grill AFTER I waved her down the second time she came to the place to drop off the propane. The grill took 2.5 hours to fix, and the other details (propane tanks empty, missing remote, low water in hot tub, dirty pool) would have taken quite some time to fix/clean/prepare. Blaming us for "checking in early" is unfair. Whatever problems that occurred would have taken significantly longer than a couple of minutes, especially given the fact that fixing the grill in itself took a few hours. I understand that not everything is perfect, but the fact that they felt the need to blame me and the other guests for checking in early when we literally pulled into the drive way at 2:58-2:59 (check the cameras) is what really got to me. It's not like anything would have changed if we pulled into the driveway a minute or two later. When the manager initially came to take photos, she could have checked the grill, fire pit, pool, etc then, but she just took photos and left. They were simply unprepared, but blamed us for checking in 1-2 mins early as if that would change anything. Judging from their responses, it seems they cannot take criticism well. Criticism is what makes a business better for the future, but they immediately jump to blaming guests which is a shame. Most Airbnb hosts would apologize for the inconvenience, but instead I got blamed for checking in (literally) 1-2 minutes earlier. Edit to add: I was ASKED to leave a google review. Your response still does not address the fact that you actually lied in your response to make you look better. You lied by saying we "checked in early" instead of just saying "we apologize and we will take this into account for the future" like literally every Airbnb host with maturity would do. But instead you blame us for checking in early when actually did not do so. Saying if we checked in 2 mins later would have changed ALL those problems is simply a lie and not true. Your response actually proves my point that you can't take criticism well and are very immature to be owning a business. Please don't blame guests for all of your problems. I've never had an Airbnb NOT apologize for the inconvenience and have never been blamed for checking in 1-2 mins early, which you know is true since you have not addressed that part of my statement. Learn from your mistakes and move on.

We booked an air bnb on our move from LA to Vegas with a one night stopover in Yucca Valley. They notified us 2 hrs before our arrival the hot tub didn't work (which is why we booked the space) and offered a nominal refund. I accepted it and they still cancelled the reservation as WE WERE ALREADY ON THE PROPERTY AT CHECK-IN. Why did they cancel on us in 100 degree heat at 3Pm with my service animal and pet in the car? How unsafe is this to leave us with no place to go in the desert? 'Karen' didn't care. She presumed to call the owners to tell them we were trespassing.. and the police came. What in the world? I had a reservation I paid for & living with a medical disability and leaving me and my service animal and dog out in the desert sun was her purpose - to keep us in danger. I don't know about you, but if this is the kind of thing that happens with air bnb and a rental agency, you're not safe with them. Your family is UNSAFE on any property they manage. Do NOT book with Hi-Desert dwellings. They will literally kick you out when you have a reservation based on her mood. We are taking legal recourse now to hopefully save anyone else from a potential nightmare.
