I'm always skeptical of places that only have 5 star reviews, and I am elated when the service reflects the rating. This is absolutely the case with Wax Lounge. For all of you searching for Ina, she no longer works at Wax Spa, she now owns her own business and this is it! I have been going to Ina for over 5 years when she worked at Wax Spa, and I'm so excited (and super happy for her!) that she opened up her own spot. I visit Miami at least 2x a year and schedule an appt with her. Not only does she provide an incredible service, she is also a really kind hardworking person. She is personable and connects well with customers, and as infrequently as I visit she remembers me each time. She uses hard wax and does a through clean job every time. The new location opened up in November 2012 and is a few minutes from Aventura mall. The interior is clean, colorful, the front desk staff is courteous. In my opinion the prices are average or a little lower than average. Parking was easy and plentiful. Funny story, I called to schedule an appointment at Wax Spa with Ina and was told that she was "out" and they "weren't sure" when she would be back.... Strange. Ina is the wax queen of Miami. The BEST Brazilian wax I've ever gotten. It only took her 5 min and its pain free compared to other places I've been to. I'm not sure what kind of magic wax she uses but its awesome. My mother and I have been going to her for at least 5 years if not longer. This place is amazing... The owner at this location has a very heavy accent so when you call her on the phone and inquire about her services it is really hard to understand her. And I do not understand she opens at 10 in the morning and her first customer comes in at 11:30 I do not recommend this place unless you happen to be the same nationality is her and are able to communicate in your native tongue but she just lost a couple of customers I hope she understands that!! read more
