Anyway, I at least convince her to meet with Lad, but on the way, she makes it clear to me that if she decides to sell, and the quotes are at all similar -- even if Lad makes a slightly higher offer--she will want to sell to her jeweler friend and would hope I wouldn't be offended. She meets with Lad. He offers her a price. Her eyebrows raise. She barely looks at me before she says, "Okay, here's my jewelry. Sold". She left extremely happy. They were from the start honest and straight to the point. I finally was able to pop in and have them look at my ring to see if possible. They told me yes, left it with them, and to come back the following day.
