Took my watch in for a new battery. There was one man working, he took my watch and started changing the battery while trying to upsell me to a new watch which I declined. He finished changing my watch and told me $30. For a battery! I had $25 in cash and he said ok. Obviously he was overcharging me. My watch worked for 5-10 minutes and stopped working. At this point I was already home and decided to return the next day. The next day the same man was working and said my watch needs service. So I ask how much? He says $175. Then proceeds to give me the $25 back for the battery and said to take my watch because he didn't want to fix it. Very rude. Don't recommend. read more

I needed to have my wedding band and engagement ring resized and reset.. He not only quoted me a fair price but went above and beyond to match the metal exactly. The stone never left the premise. It was completed within just a few short days and looks better than ever. My daughter had an heirloom ring that needed a stone replaced. RUDE. So. Profoundly. Rude. At first I walked in and the gentleman sitting gave me a smile, then like he had mental issues snapped at me 5 seconds later. I didn't even touch anything, I just asked if they do jewelry cleaning. After getting yelled at, I just turned around and left, I didn't need to engage, he seemed unstable. No exaggeration I was in there for at most 5 seconds. If you feel like getting confused and yelled at then sure, pop on by to this weird little place. Maybe he was having a bad day? I wouldn't drive out of my way to come here and risk it. Such a weird experience!! I would AVOID this bad energy at all costs unless you're prepared to deal with a moody business person. read more

Ok first and foremost the store is beautiful and thoughtfully laid out. Sam is an actual jeweler and has been at this location for 21 years, so not only does he sell jewelry like the major retailers do, but creates and fixes pieces. I want to be specific, becuase major jewelry retailers push sales and many times do not understand the buisness. Sammy has beautiful pieces and competitive prices; the gold, silver and diamonds are of the highest quality. I know this becuase I am a 2nd generation customer and have purchased beautiful pieces from Sam and so has my family to include my late father. I went into Alain's looking for a new watch for my boyfriend, the staff helped me a lot to find the right one. They even said that if he didn't like it I could return it for a full refund. He was reluctant to give me any information about ring specifications, probably because he was used to clients using and abusing him. Shady owner. Had two items on layaway, I found one of the items a quarter of his price elsewhere and removed it from lay away for which in turn he added tax to my remaining item which increased the price of said item by $273. After I decided I didn't want that item either, I went in to purchase something with the amount I had already given him which equaled a bit over $900. He tried to tell me I had only paid six hundred and something. I did not have my receipt at the moment he told me that but told him I knew it was more. Luckily I found it at home and sure enough, I had paid $920. He tried to snow me for almost $300. Mind u, I shop there regularly. Have purchased all of my pandora items from him for myself, my daughter, and all of my family. Have also purchased diamond earrings with him. Shady shady. Will never shop there again. read more
