There's just 1 lane of cars, about 4 ahead of me. Then suddenly a car pulls up to the side of us all and creates this second lane. Instead of sending him to the back of the line, they test him. Hello? What about all of us waiting, with appointments??? They finally moved cars to this "Lane 2" because the line was pretty long now. A few girls walking around at a snails pace with papers. But I'm at the front of the line, in this lane 2. The girl goes to the cars behind me. Then in Lane 1, they tested 2 cars that were behind me when I was initially in that line before anyone ever came to my car. There was zero rhyme or reason as to how they helped people and seemed oblivious to any sort of order of cars. When I told her what happened at another place where I never got my results she said "because they're bullshit" which was pretty unprofessional. And she wasn't going to stick the q-tip "hella far up" my nose. What?? Now lets hope and pray I get my results this time.

StemExpress was a lifesaver for me - I had my 24 hour test at 8:05 am on Friday and got the results Friday night (faster than promised). Everybody that I dealt with on the phone (Toni and Tuesday) and during the Test Procedure (Devin and Maryela) were friendly, helpful, and professional. I think getting tested in the car might be more comfortable than some other options because you can brace against your headrest. Note: The date and time of the sample are now on the test results. I had a great COVID-19 testing experience at StemExpress Drive-up in Folsom.

I made an account online and set my appointment... very easy process, and it was handy to be able to answer many of their questions in advance. I think it sped the process up a bit, but I was a little surprised to be asked so many more questions when I got there. It's good to see that they're thorough with their screening process. The staff acknowledged that this was my first time and were careful to answer all of my questions. The actual process of giving the blood was smooth... it just took 10-15 minutes (whole blood donation - other methods take longer). I didn't feel faint or anything like that, so smooth sailing there too - I hung out at the snack bar for a while (they require 15 mins) had a drink and a snack and moved on! If you've never been here, check out their website - it's well organized and has a lot of info. The only thing I was bummed about was the date I gave blood was too early to get in the drawing for Super bowl tickets!

My only gripe is that they got rid of the Famous Amos cookies a few years back and this week they didn't have any Cheetos or Grandma's Cookies. The best part of blood donation is the snacks afterwards so it was a little disappointing. Oh well, maybe next time. I still miss Bloodsource. Their website was a lot easier to maneuver and see available weekly appointments all at once instead of having to select a particular day.

At this point, I…read morebelieve the Sacramento locations need serious oversight because the level of professionalism, cleanliness, and organization is unacceptable. The facility often feels dirty and unsanitary, and the overall environment is chaotic. There doesn't seem to be any clear structure, and many of the staff members appear unsure of what they're doing. Instead of creating a safe and welcoming experience, it often feels disorganized, with employees rushing people around and very little attention being given to the donors. What concerns me the most is the lack of care and compassion. As donors, we're giving our time and plasma to help save lives, yet it doesn't feel like we're treated with the respect or attention we deserve. Too many staff members seem disengaged and unconcerned about donor comfort or safety. Management is another major issue. Strong leadership should ensure the facility is clean, organized, and properly staffed, but that has not been my experience. The customer service, professionalism, and overall operations need significant improvement. Unfortunately, this has been one of the worst experiences I've had at a plasma donation center. I hope management takes these concerns seriously because donors deserve a clean, safe, organized, and respectful environment.

I usually go on Wednesday and Sunday. It's consistently a 2 hour commitment, but if you're donating on a special, it's worth it. I signed up when it was 2 donations a week for a month, you get $600. I've only been able to donate 3x sadly. The first two donations were smooth. No issues. However, my last one I got a hematoma because when they poked my left arm, the vein rolled. I bruised. I came back and had to be checked by a nurse who said I cannot donate until the bruise is gone because I don't have two good veins and they don't want to cause any more injury which I appreciate. I'm bummed because I feel like this is a thing. Peoples veins are rolling or there is an issue with the donation and then they don't have to pay people out. It's a little misleading. Additionally, in my personal experience, once you get in the chair it's like a 15-20 mins wait to get hooked up. There appears to only be 1-2 people that can draw the plasma so you have to wait. Other than that, the staff have been very nice. The office is very clean. (Sometimes the bathrooms are not) but overall I've had a decent experience. I've never had my veins roll and be bruised before, but apparently that's a thing.

I waited a few minutes and the technician in the first processing station finally came over and took me to his station. It went okay but I was rejected after the finger prick indicated low iron level. My rating would have been 4-star. This was not the same for my husband who had a 10:50 appointment. It was a complete disaster-- thus the 1-star rating. He arrived on time and waited at the reception desk 25 minutes before anyone acknowledged him. He made it through the initial processing and blood prick. He was then told to go to a booth to complete an EXTENSIVE questionnaire on a computer. The software was so bad my husband had to repeatedly keep tapping buttons to record his answers and move on. It took him nearly and hour because of the awful software issues, which were acknowledged by one of the staff. He was finally referred to the nurse for the physical and had to wait in a line that wrapped around almost the entire interior perimeter of the clinic. It took him back to the reception desk where a staff member told him to start over. He protested and then was taken to the nurse station where he waited again in a long line. The nurse rejected him due to a conflict with his medications. This was after two hours of being sent in circles, dealing with a barely functioning computer/software system, and a totally disorganized staff. We will never go back to this clinic. An appointment means nothing.
