My daughter loves all her teachers and she gets a well rounded education…read more Unfortunately, as a public school, they still have to teach at a steady pace for all students which may be a little slower if your kid is a quicker on the uptake. We have to supplement her with additional home work at home. However, she's getting a quality education without us having to pay 10-20k for a private school. The most important thing is parent involvement. Money alone can't give your kid a quality education. This school has steadily gone up in ranks, and since the switch to Common Core testing instead of API, this is now a 10 ranked school. This just shows that the API can be gamed by rote memorization. As a parent, I had to relearn some of the concepts with Common Core, but it makes a lot of sense. I'm not sure why other parents hate it. The most important thing about Common Core is that there is not one way of getting the answers right. I teach my kids the curriculum method but I also teach them the old methods as well. Knowing more than one way to solve a problem and understanding *why* and *how* are the keystones of Common Core.

The decision to move both our kids (4th and 6th grade at SPM) to a new school was not easy. However, the entire staff here was so welcoming and made our kids feel very comfortable since day 1. Special shout out to our teacher Ms Valayil who goes above and beyond for her students and genuinely care about their academics and well being. Also, Ms Pacheco (Spanish teacher) and Ms Shohana (after school teacher) who are so supportive and caring - and entire front office/leadership team at this campus who exceeded our expectations. As we wrap up the school year this week, our family agreed that we made the right decision to be at Stratford and look forward to continuing our education here. They upgraded their playground, added some more portables, and fix the parking lot, somewhat. This school scored an 880 API out of a 1000 for the California educational standards which is awesome. When I pick up my niece here, I see the staff come out and supervise the parking lot and the front of the school for some security measures. I glad that the staff does that and makes the kids feel safe.

These people are supposed to in service to the public and help people . What kind of people are they ? And what kind of admin is running this place ?
