Not once in my over 30 years as a patient here had he ever 'pushed' a procedure that was unaffordable. While the 'disaster' of my teeth in the past several years was largely my own fault, he provided resources and almost 'therapy-like' support, but not once did he push very costly products or services. Over the following month, I chipped the new bonding twice and needed it re-done each time. Dr. Yoo was very understanding and went out of her way to help find the cause for the repeated chipping. She worked with me to help ensure my bite wasn't putting too much pressure on the composite resin to continue to chip it. Since then, my bonding has been perfect, and I haven't had any issues. Unfortunately, over the past few years, things have changed. Since his kids began taking over, I've felt less heard as a patient and increasingly uncomfortable with treatment recommendations. I've also noticed a significant increase in fillings and what feels like a push toward more aggressive procedures. For three years, I raised concerns about tooth pain and was repeatedly brushed off. When it was finally addressed, I was told it was a "small cavity" that could be filled quickly. That was not the case. It turned out to be much more extensive, and now a large portion of my tooth is gone. I've also had at least three fillings done by Dr. Colleen, and two of them needed to be redone by Dr. Matt. Based on my experience, I would strongly recommend asking questions and considering having fillings or more complex work done by another provider. Another concern is their payment policy. Payment is required at the time of service based on an estimate, which may not reflect the final insurance adjustment. This puts patients in a position of potentially overpaying upfront, and it's unclear how discrepancies are handled. You can also see changes in the practice overall, especially with the turnover in hygienists. It feels like every appointment involves a cancellation or reschedule due to someone leaving unexpectedly, which has made the experience feel inconsistent and disorganized. It's honestly sad to see, because this used to feel like a truly special, community-focused practice. Dr. McShane built something great, and it feels like it's slowly slipping. I do appreciate Dr. Matt for stepping in and correcting issues when needed. However, I will be leaving the practice once Dr. McShane retires.

It required 7 pages of initial paperwork and I received 4 text notifications prior to the appointment. They repeatedly reminded me to attend and informed me that if I wasn't there, and on time, I would be charged at least $75 and possibly more... okay. No problem. I understand. So I arrive 10 minutes early to fill out the forms. The receptionist barked instructions to me and demanded my drivers license. It was strange. Stressful. Then I went to the exam room and the hygienist shared the lengthy explanation of "how they do things." Since I had x-rays 6 months ago, they wouldn't clean my teeth without seeing those x-rays first; and, unfortunately, my former dentists' office was closed, so they sent me home. I still can't believe it and I'm embarrassed. Why didn't they call my dentist last week to get what they needed? They are clear with their time boundaries, but what about working ahead so it's a positive experience for both of us and an efficient use of my time, too? What an embarrassing first appointment that should have been simple and effortless - something's wrong. I won't be back and don't recommend this practice.

They explain what they recommend to be done, they walk through the process and the payment required. I had 3 follow ups after to make sure it was healing properly. They will even submit the insurance claim on your behalf so you can get reimbursed for your out of pocket expenses. Great work. My gum health has improved and I have had the implant for 6+ years. I would recommend this Dr. and his team.
