Now that I live in Godfrey, I am a regular shopper. I am such a regular that the entire staff knows my name. I am a huge fan of their, Mud Pie and Nora Fleming. I have so many pieces, at a recent party several guest would ask where I got many of my serving pieces. Each time they asked, I would respond, "White Birch". I pretty sure they some new customers after my party. Their selection of witty cocktail napkins, are always a party favorite, too. In their home decor, I've snagged a couple of their toss pillows and some art work for the dining room. The selection of men's fashion is limited, but I've bought a couple shirts and novelty sock. White Birch is a fantastic boutique in a vintage house in Alton. If you haven't been, I suggest you go and check them out. You'll be impressed. It takes time to flip through the items, but if you find something you like it's going to be an amazing value. Today, I found a red and black flannel shirt and it cost me only $5. Now, I just gotta wait till fall to wear it. This Kohl's has had a small facelift. They've redesigned the check-out/cashiers space. It is now similar to Marshall's and Home Goods. It get to the cashiers, you go down a long aisle filled with merchandise. That way if there's a line, you add impulse items to your cart. Today I was strong and didn't add the Godiva Chocolate Bars to my collection. Floor associates are always available for assistance and the cashiers are friendly while taking your money. Beware, they'll ask you to sign up for their exclusive credit. It's a good deal, but I have cards that give me points, too. My main purchases here are; socks, belts, jeans, Dockers, casual shirts and items from their home soft department. I suggest you got shop at your local Kohl's and see what you can find.
