This diamond in the rough store had beautiful handbags, jewelry and designer clothing priced unbelievably low! Plan on enough time to dig through the many layers of clothes tightly packed on racks, the owners plan on expanding the store since its popularity and hope they succeed. Sorry to say that it's not the same anymore, as it's gone downhill during the past few years. A recent disappointment has been the reduction of the senior discount from 25% to 10% on Wednesdays. It can be difficult to navigate inside the store since large clothing racks with new items are left within the aisles, obstructing the racks and making it difficult to shop. Although the clothing is supposed to be sorted by size, it is so mixed up that the organization system has been rendered useless for the most part. Overhead lights are flickering in several areas of the store which makes me feel uncomfortable and gives me a headache. The fitting rooms are dirty and unwelcoming, and I dread using them. I have to wonder what's happened to all the great items I used to come across regularly, since now so much of what's in the store feels like it's been picked over. Prices tend to be a bit more reasonable than some other thrift stores, but the selection has been sub par as of late. They used to have a nice selection of jewelry items, but they no longer carry jewelry. I used to see nice quality handbags, shoes and clothing in the store, but now that's rare. I can't help but wonder if the better donations are going somewhere else now.

She forgot to take the security tag off my pants, and I had to go back.. The other cashier looked at me so negatively, never asked how I was, or anything.. not even a hello.. She asked for my receipt assuming I was stealing, even though I had just been in there and had two bags with clothes in it. Didn't say bye or have a nice day.. If I were their boss, I would fire them all. Won't be seeing me around.

This is a pretty good-sized store and it's well-organized with a good selection. However, returns are kind of annoying (not this location's fault, but H&M's fault as a whole). While I was returning a few items from my online order in store, I noticed something from my order that I had purchased a few days before had gone on clearance. I loved the item so obviously I didn't bring it to the store because I wasn't planning to return it. But, they had the exact same size and color as the one that I had purchased on the floor, and I had my order form with me (because I was returning other stuff). They wouldn't do a price adjustment because it was a clearance item, so instead I rebought the item in-store and then tried to return it with my old receipt. That didn't work, because apparently every individual item has a different SKU, even if they are identical. I've never seen that happen in a store before (especially a fast-fashion store).

Although the quantity is limited somewhat compared to the bigger Footlockers, you could always order a shoe from another nearby Footlocker or you always have the option of having the sales associate calling another store and holding a pair of shoes for you as well. Overall Experience: The overall experience at this store is average. The sales reps are fine depending on who you get. Sometimes I find that some of the sales reps are just constantly chit chatting with other customers/friends of theirs when other customers are waiting for a sales rep for assistance. All in all this Footlocker is good to get in and get out if you know what you want. If you're deciding on a shoe or need great suggestions from sales reps at this store I would recommend deciding ahead of time.

This is my rating based on the potential that I'm seeing with the redevelopment of this mall. Over…read moretime, this mall has generally been a good spot to gather with a quality set of stores, though there's definitely a lot more competition nearby with good options in all of the surrounding shopping centers that cover all the different varieties of shops and restaurants. With lots of indoor malls closing nearby, this setup has become a bit more of a rarity, and personally I still like having a large spot with furniture to sit down at when I need to rest, a climate controlled area for when it's too hot or cold outside, and lots of fun spots to do seasonal pictures. With Hawthorn 2.0, I'm quite excited for what is to come. It looks like there will be a fresh set of solid anchors like Perry's Steakhouse, AMC, Dave & Busters, Macy's, etc. If this develops similarly to Randhurst, this would be a great spot to gather in Vernon Hills. Even before this is complete however, Hawthorn Mall has retained more quality tenants and has an overall cleaner and more modern look than some of the other indoor malls nearby. With the next closest similar offering being Woodfield Mall, this is still a fairly unique offering.
