I do not consider myself a frequent shopper but it works for me. I was at the store at off-peak timing, 4 p.m. on a Thursday. They are hiring a hairdresser for the salon should anyone be looking for one. Lots of sales but the item that I chose was not eligible for a discount, which is posted on the JCP webpage (Champion fitness wear). Not many shoes but this has been true for some time. Very nice sales associate at the check out location, other associates around the store. They are bilingual. Give it a try.

Lockport is beginning to show signs of life again in the business community and I, for one, am grateful. I'd been in a Big Lots (once before) in Joliet and found the prices to be quite reasonable, but the store kind of dingy and picked over. However, the minute I'd walked into the new Lockport location, I could see that this store was much lighter and better laid out as well. It simply "felt good" to shop there. Plenty of merchandise to cruise through and if you're not careful, you just may find yourself filling up your cart with things you didn't plan on buying beforehand but discover you can't afford to pass up! The employees are a delight to deal with, too, and I've never had a sour experience with any of them, even during the busy holiday season. I can actually say that I enjoy coming here and from time to time, find myself wandering in just to see what's new. Right now, holiday decorations are dramatically discounted, so I know I'll be heading back again real soon. You should, too!

You can buy anything here at Big Lots without breaking your pockets and also save lots of money compared shopping to other stores. I have a love/hate relationship with Old Navy. I love it because the clothes are cheap and let's…read moreface it, I'm a pretty cheap person. I don't love it because everyone and their mom and THEIR moms all shop here, so you're not getting anything super unique. I bought an owl sweater at the Oakbrook Terrace location because I have an owl obsession. The way that it was displayed in the store, it had a collared shirt underneath it and it looked super preppy yet stylish. I ordered the sweater one size up, assuming that it would need to be a little bigger to put a collared shirt under it. When I finally found a collared shirt to match, the sweater was still too huge so I had to bring it back. Let me also note, that I'd bought this sweater 3-4 weeks earlier and it'd been hanging in my closet until I could hunt down the perfect shirt to go underneath it. I'd since lost the receipt, because everything always gets thrown out at my house. I was super nervous bringing it in that they would hassle me and I'd be stuck with this huge sweater. I came in this past Sunday and the line was horrendous--so horrendous that I contemplated just hanging my sweater up and grabbing the right size, but since I could never do something like that - I decided to wait it out. The line went really fast though. When I finally made it up to the register, I explained my plight to the nice lady and she told me that they didn't have anymore of the owl sweaters but I could pick out something else. Disappointed, I ran back to find something else and ended up with a brown/black and grey plain sweater. When I came back up, the lady told me that since I paid with my debit card, they could find my transaction. I handed over my card and in less than 15 seconds, she found my purchase. Lucky for me too, the sweaters happened to be on sale, so not only was I walking out with a sweater in the right size, but I was walking out the door $8 richer. Overall, my experience this weekend was a good one. The store was organized, the line moved quick and the cashier was friendly. I'm giving 4 stars because the team were great but don't expect me to start shopping here on a weekly basis!

To only find out they had sold the items... mind you I paid for them. It wasn't a courtesy hold. I asked why as it's a 7 day policy and even then - 3 days closer to the holidays. But to put my stuff back not even 24 hours later is crazy. I won't be back.
