Been running back and forth to this mall to make sure I have everything for my new iPad; screen protector and case. Then my husband ordered a new iPhone and had the techs set it up. Then of course he had to get the fancy charger with the fan. We are not just stopping at one store. Who does that? This is a mall after all. So we walk around and maybe we buy something else, maybe we don't. We are getting in those steps. I'm really sad that William Sonoma is gone. Loved that store, spent lots in there. read more

This man has harassed me for 9 years & Simon promotes him, when I was a manger at Sprint this man made my job the most difficult & was never cordial with mall employees. I see him today speaking to officer Dargan 401 with Orland Park Police about clarifying statues of law, the mall director walks up and says "What does he think this is a legal seminar" joking in my face along with Dargan all because I asked how can you enforce law if you don't clarify? They both ignored my gesture and the Director of Security threatened to ban me just for asking for mall policy & when I asked for his name he tried to walk away. I've had issue with this man for years along with other mall vendors who pay to be there and he doesn't treat people with respect. His attitude seems like he doesn't have to talk to people cordially because of his position, I will also be escalating my complaint with the BBB based on this unprofessional behavior from a director of Security read more

I'll give you guys the low down and dirty....oh man was there some dirty.....There was a non profit group in the mall seeking donations and they were using technical and sophisticated persuasion techniques that the general public is easily susceptible to, so a warning my dear friends....be real real careful trusting some of these non for profit organizations because some of them are scamming snakes....they didn't count on someone in the know busting them out. The Mall itself was fine except they only have 1 bathroom located on the bottom floor? They really need to add more restrooms it's not rocket science to imagine having more than one restroom is a necessity. They have the new incredible Burger Restaurant, some kind of Corn Dog Restaurant, panda I think?, Taco Bell and a hot chicken place as well as a cupcake shop, Starbucks, Texas De Brazil and some kind of Tea place, so the food and drink options are really good. The Store selection is also really good. We Got An art Store, A Lego store, Spencer's, a hippie store, shoes store, Victoria Secrets, Urban Outfitters, PAC Sun, a jewelry store, a book store, and Bath and Body works just to name a few stores. I also noticed a kids train riding kids and parents around the top floor and there is a carrousel on the bottom floor. All in all it's a good place what can I say? It is always fun to stop by the mall. Got drug out by my sisbs and kids. It was PACKED, and shall remain that way until Christmas is over. So I didnt buy anything, just people watched and enjoyed the lights and Christmas like decorations the mall had in place. This wasnt a stop for me, so no huge review on sales and such, but the mall was decorated nicely, and all types of vendors were in place for Christmas gift purchases!!! read more

I been coming to Orland mall since I was a kid and that is a loooong time. The reason I like this mall is because it has very store I like and is not too crowded and no drama goes on here. I like the apple store , Macy"s the Disney store the food court and is all in door sweet. There is plenty of parking and it is safe to be here even at night time. I like the little kiosks vendors too. They have ice cream, smoothies, tea shops and coffee too. If you want to hang out with friends or just be by yourself you will always find a store to shop. In light of the recent incident that happened in this mall and all the brash negative reviews that it is getting. I will be the first to defend the mall by saying as a regular shopper that this is a SAFE mall and there's absolutely nothing to worry about except how cold it can get outside at times. For those who label this as a ghetto mall. Let me tell you that there's alot of upscaled stores here that you would only see in Oakbrook Terrace, Northbrook and the Loop. Ford City used to be a thriving mall back in the day but labeling it Ghetto has caused its decline and look where it's at now. It's still a great mall for those willing to give it a chance but not the way it was once remembered . Orland Square Mall is consistently improving since it's anchor stores Carsons and Sears closed but they're replacing them with a movie theater and a Von Maur. There isn't a Von Maur for miles here! I have been coming here for many years. I love this mall and it still saddens me when people want to label the mall out of emotion. It's going to scare businesses and jobs away hurting this ever thriving community . The American malls are dying as they are any way. Don't let this mall end up like the Orland Park Plaza Mall that used to be next door in the 80's and 90's the people labeled that place as "ghetto" look what happened to that place . The future is bright here and I'll still come here until I think other wise. The one thing that I will say that I dislike about this mall, like most malls is it's youth supervision policy mumbo jumbo. It's not a hassle much here thankfully. Parking sucks here on black Friday. I'd like to see a better designated area for people waiting for the bus possibly so we're kind of not fighting through people to get in the doors. Christmas is in the air. On Sunday, the mall was a bit busy. People were dress in there Christmas gird , jolly, & more patience then normal.

Funny as hell mall! There's like 4 urban clothing stores, and they're all owned by the same person lol. I heard before there wasn't very many minorities coming to this mall, but it's probably partially true that because of the urban stores it's much more diverse crowd in this mall now. I wonder what it was like before the urban clothes warfare. They have all the basics and it's just another mall, BUT this one is actually busy like malls everywhere used to be if you rewind time. Weird. Very odd considering there's really nothing stand out about this mall. The anchor stores like Macy's and JCPenny's are slimmed down versions of true stores and the other small stores like Spencer's etc are smaller than they would be at any other mall. But whatever, as long as they're doing well IDGAF! It's a fun throwback. read more

Came to this mall while I was visiting in Illinois. The store selection was okay, but I think I've just been spoiled with the huge malls in Cali/LA area. The mall itself was pretty clean and had most of the stores you typically find at shopping malls. They also had a few dining options and a small food court. There was plenty of parking. Based on some negative reviews below. I definitely had to comment. There are no " Thugs" walking through this mall as stated below, and nobody is getting any death stares... there are more youth frequenting the mall and hanging out with friends so on the weekends it can be pretty hectic, even with Covid. I prefer to go early ( so I can get in and out) I don't care for crowds. But there is no real danger, police are there in numbers making sure everyone is safe. Now what has changed is how dirty the parking lot is.. it's filthy. It's often trash everywhere in the lot, which is not something that I have seen EVER at Orland. However it appears that we're getting an influx of people from the city coming to this mall.. The stores are doing a great job with Covid restrictions and sanitization practices. They are keeping their customers happy and safe. So you have nothing to worry about, if you don't like crowds get their early.. read more

This place was a shopping area where you can buy any products you need. They also have a different restaurant and stalls for you to eat your breakfast, lunch, dinner or snacks. Aside from that you can also go with your kids so they can play and enjoy the play area. Their place inside was very spacious. So you can't feel the crowdedness even though there are a lot of people inside. You must have a lot of money in your pocket because they have a lot of good products to buy. If you don't have money in your pocket don't worry since they have atm machines or some Bitcoin atm. Some of the stalls gave a sale or a discount on some of their products. You're lucky if the products you need or want are on discount because you can save enough money. All in all this shopping center is a great place! read more

I love Orland Square Mall! Unlike other malls, this one really caters everyone. The stores are really clean and the mall is so worth stopping by. The fact that they do it up for the holidays is special also, and you don't see that many teen kids in this mall, that I can appreciate. Not saying teens shouldn't be in malls, no thats not what I meant. I think I meant that most other malls will have loud kids acting like teens but this one seems to be very subtle and not so much noise. Love the fact that Macy's is connected because this is the store I truly love. Although not near me, I don't mind traveling the extra 20 miles to get here, thats how much I like this mall. And the ample parking is wonderful, the Cheesecake Factory makes me smile, and the stores, oh those wonderful stores. I came in the 2nd week of December, and I have to admit that it was not as full as I had expected. Which of course for me is a good thing. Many of the other malls are super crowded and you always have to worry about pick pockets, but here you will see a police officer on a cycle just minding his business. Not sure if thats a good thing but hey the presence of an officer always makes me smile because you know that people will not likely act like a fools when there is an officer aboard. read more

I think that the new Youth Supervision Rule is ridiculous. Most Illinois schools get out at 3pm, therefore making it impossible for teenagers to hangout with their friends at the mall after school. This is not the only issue with this rule. My family has personally been dealing with issues concerning my mothers health. She is now unable to bring me places she used to be able to. Due to this, my friends are my main source of transportation. Today, I wanted to stop into the Apple Store very quickly to get my broken screen fixed, I was not planning on messing around the mall, just to quickly drop my phone off. The mall cop was extremely rude and inconsiderate. I am indescribably upset about this, I now have to continue to deal with this inconvenience. I hope that the mall fixes this issue, until then I hope that they continue to lose business. read more

Me and my friends drove 50 minutes to come hang out and go shopping but on Fridays and Saturdays the two main days kids are out off school they can't even walk into the mall without getting stopped by cops to make sure your 18 or older and if you're under 18 you are forced to leave would've been nice to know that we couldn't come in and saved the gas and money but they don't post any updates read more

I've been coming to this mall for many years so I've seen many changes. This mall tries to keep up with the times and is constantly updating their look. There's lots of parking and the mall is located around tons of restaurants and various other shopping stores outside of the mall. This is a two level store with large anchor stores. They are currently constructing Von Maur which is set to open soon. Food court is also filled with lots of choices. read more

No need to go to Chicago, this mall has everything you need (unless you are looking for the higher end brands). Besides the fact that it looks old, you can find your typical Gap, Coach, Sephora, BCBG, etc. I usually go to this mall when I'm too lazy to drive all the way to Woodfield in Schaumburg or Chicago. If they could just revamp themselves when it came to the mall's dated look, I think they would do way better. Empty storefronts are a sign that a mall is struggling and there were a few when I came there last. read more

It has been years since I have been to Orland Square Mall, so going back this past week was a shock, to say the least. I grew up in Orland Park, I watched the mall being built from my classroom window at Orland Center School across the street, I worked at Orland Square mall many years ago, my Mother and Aunts worked there as well. This mall was such a wonderful place to shop. Great stores and very safe family environment. But not anymore. We had dinner plans at Texas de Brazil and got there early so decided to take a stroll through the mall. WOW... what a disappointment. So many people loitering and not shopping... a huge police / security presence... even a cop with a dog, while some would say that this is good, I disagree, because Orland Square never had to have a big police presence, as there was no reason to... it was a safe town, safe mall, but clearly not anymore. There was a strong marijuana smell as we walked past several of the "shoppers". I felt so unsafe and so out of place. It made me so sad to see my beautiful and safe mall go to crap. Sadly, I will not go back. I highly suggest for those that do want to shop there, go during the day and women should not go alone. read more

...Just called to make a formal complaint and the security office told me that the train rides are not "a part of The mall" just independent contractors. So I asked if that meant they could do what they want. He said pretty much, as long as they pay us rent. Wow...The almighty dollar! I Generally have a good time while shopping @ Orland Park Mall; however, not today. Scrooge (attendant for the kid's train ride) she was rude as hell! My grandson and I had just missed the train so I asked her how long would it be. She says to me "when it gets back". I said ok, but how long does it usually take "when it gets back". Really!? I am sure she could have given me an estimate...15 minutes; 20 minutes. Like I said Scrooge. Ignorance at its finest. Needless to say no train ride for us. read more

Neat two-level mall on the far southwest side of the Chicagoland area. Anchors are Macy's, Sears, JC Penney, and Carson's. The mall ownership has been reinvesting money in this facility and it is nice and up-to-date. A couple stores relocate into or out each year, giving it a nice updated feel. Recently LUSH arrived and you can tell by the wonderful smells on the second floor by Macy's. The mall opens early for walkers...around 7:30 every morning. This is a nice benefit for the neighborhood as winter walking is always chancy. Sales tax revenues generated by the mall really make Orland Park a stable village...so much so that Orland Park trustees usually refund all or a portion of Orland's tax share of Cook County back to residents. Inside the mall, Schoop's, The Cheesecake Factory, and a number of small eateries in the food court provide a variety of places to munch. Security, which in malls around the area has been in the news lately, is done very well in Orland Park...both in the mall and outside in the parking lot. The whole family will feel safe here. It's my first time here in this mall. My friend invited me to shop with her. I'm amazed how big it is. They had so many stalls and lot of spacious to walk in. They have lot of couches in waiting are in the middle to sit in. Many people go on shopping, eating and window shopping. We went first to Cinema area to watch some movies. We bought pop corns and drinks for snacks while watching. It's big so we sit one sit a part. We cry, laugh and enjoy the movies. After we movie marathon, she tour me to the clothes section. There are lot of different brand to choose. She even bought me a new clothes and necklace. The necklace look simple but the price is expensive. This is a pretty average mall. There's a good mix of stores. There's your standard department anchor stores, things like Sephora and Willams Sonoma and Build-a-Bear. There's all the typical clothes shops like Hot Topic, Pink, and H&M. There's a food court that includes Taco Bell and Panda express, stalls like Fannie May and Auntie Anne's Pretzels. There's sit down dining options like The Cheesecake Factory, and tons more restaurants located near to the mall. There's a play area for the kids. My favorite stop is an anime store that sells DVDs and plushies and other fun stuff. The mall isn't what it used to be, it isn't as nice. It's clean enough but the clientele has definitely changed. It's still one of the nicer malls in the neighborhood, and it's to be expected that a mall is filled with irritating teenagers and mothers. Security seems to have been beefed up a bit, so I think that's a good thing. Previously, they were security guards on segways who looked more like Paul Blart than an actual security guard. But, this most recent time they were decked out like policemen on foot, and they were definitely more intimidating. I suppose that goes hand in hand with the changing crowd. At the end of the day, it's a mall. A fairly clean, safe mall. read more

Visited today, and I witnessed/experienced the following: two kids getting arrested for shoplifing by Sears an individual who looked like a woman of the night at The Disney store a mom who tried to cut in from of of me as waited to buy tickets for my kids for the train. Person selling tickets was an idiot and tried to give me a hard time when I spoke up. (Nope, not today.) To his credit, he seemed to recognize he had responded poorly and was pleasant to my kids. a cloud of odor that smelled like weed near kiddie train a woman being held by security near The Cheescake Factory exit What an awful experience. I was there with my mother and two small kids. So disappointed! I wanted to take pictures, but I didn't want to look as ignorant as the people I was coming across. This place is where you can buy any products that you need. There are various options to choose from, very clean and you definitely feel safe shopping here. There are restaurants which are very good for breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks. Amusement areas are awesome too, especially for kids. They have very nice quality products, like clothing, that every person can return back to. It observes health protocols properly. It was an amazing experience. The parking space is not so crowded. So, I enjoyed shopping, roaming and eating here at Orland Square. I will recommend this shop to all of my family and friends. read more

This mall is in Orland, and is part of the Simon collection of malls. The mall seems fairly big at first, but if you walk it once, it seems to get smaller and smaller. Maybe that's just me though. I love that security is always walking around, keeping an eye on things and I love that the crowd is fairly diverse. I'd stay away from this place on the weekends if you want to avoid the teeny bopper "not old enough to date so my mom/dad dropped me off at the mall so I could walk around it all day with my friends and maybe see some guys/girls who are also doing the same thing and then we end up walking around it together" crowd. The food court is almost always full of people, but there is always a table. May not be a clean table, but hey, if you're eating in a mall food court, you surely have napkins. I like that this store has an Apple Store, but it's almost always packed, and makes me wonder why they accepted such a smaller spot, people are almost always mulling about it, which makes it awkward. There are plenty of stores to please plenty of budgets, and parking is ample, even if you want a 'spot close to the door'. Stores here please not only all wallets, but all age groups as they have things from Build-a-Bear to Legos to H&M to Victoria's Secret to Williams Sonoma and Pottery Barn. You can also get a haircut, mani/pedi and even a professional picture taken at this mall, so if you timed it right, you'd be able to give yourself a full-on makeover if you were to invest in makeup from the Sephora on the second level. It's currently under renovation, been that way for a while, so I'm interested to see what it looks like when all the work is done. read more
