I've been shopping here for a quite a few years now, including at their former downtown location. The owner and her staff have done an amazing job making the space feel like a welcoming treasure hunt. They always happy to offer suggestions if needed or allow you to browse on your own. Since everything here is one of a kind, I have my best luck when I'm not looking for something specific. The price range is extensive - you can find regular priced dresses for $50 but they also sell some luxury designer items for $1000+. Truly something for everyone. If you're looking for a deal, I recommend keeping an eye on their social media and looking out for their blowout sales.

They have a lot of vintage designer shoes and clothing, fur coats, wedding dresses, just so much good stuff. Do yourself a favour and look in the drawers and bowls to find even more stuff. Earrings and lace gloves and mirrors. The hat selection is amazing but it's the shoes that bring me back from manolo blahnik, to Dior. My favourite purchase from there is still 80s cowbow boots that I get compliments on every time I wear them. I love the owner Angela, she is really open about where she does her collecting and is a super interesting lady. A chat with her and a gander in Swish always a treat.

Same layout same great deals…read more The only thing that bothers me and this is probably because they're new, the customer service is in need of serious improvement. Finding a staff member on the floor is impossible. My wife was looking for a certain size of jeans and you would think when a staff member sees you digging through shelves, it's time to ask us if we need assistance. Not the case. We looked around to see if someone was near by. Nope. Lastly, even though the store is the same layout there are flaws. There's a hidden area in the kids dept that goes nowhere. I'm confused by that choice. The selection right now is bleak but I suspect once the store gets humming and they have some metrics the stock will increase. So before anyone craps on this place give it time. It will be better soon enough. Just be grateful that we finally got old navy in shpk.

The store was kind of messy, perhaps it was because it was a weekend. I also found it difficult to find what items were actually on sale. There was a rack of pants that said 50% off. I grabbed a pair and set out to double check the price. I found someone and she asked where I had found it. She said only the marked pants were on sale. I went through the 17 pairs of pants and found 3 that were on sale. I was finally able to find a pair of pants on sale and also picked up 2 tank tops. Not in a hurry to go back.

This is a review for the one in 170th Street mayfield area…read more I take great emphasis on customer service so I will say the employees are very immature and inexperienced with fashion, I mean the only brands they know are the ones from the WEM. They don't know lanvin, marni, brunello, or balmain. They know for sure lululemon and all it's sweat and yoga pants. I brought in a bag of clothes about 25 items. They were brands like 10 pieces of ivivva, 1 piece of lululemon, banana Republic, zara, guess, I put a very expensive marni jacket , mackage and other brands that are great quality. Size 0 or extra small. Some were barely worn some of the Original tags were just removed but i never wore them. And guess what? They only picked one item. I like how fast they are in assessing my clothing, but did they really looked at it? Maybe I had high expectations. I couldn't believe they didn't even take my ivivvas! Those are like lululemon. They for sure cater to young audience with a typical edmonton fashion style. Usually edmontonians wear sweat pants, yoga , hoodies, birkenstock, aritzia, lululemon and the ubiquitous fanny pack/ cross body bag. They don't cater to classy style. I'm OK with what they pay me for that one item. I'm not please with the customer service. I didn't purchase anything because I'm trying to get rid of my stuff.

All were in like new condition. An hour later I was texted that the items were ready for pick up. They kept 3 items. When I brought the remainder home, it appeared to me that some weren't even taken out of the bin. They were still folded as to the way I put them in. I feel that they prefer items that would work for the younger under 30s and not middle aged women. I wish they would have indicated this when I phoned them twice to ask questions. I was told they take designer items as well as from stores such a Walmart. Anyway I am writing this as information to women over 50!!

I wandered through this store wondering why I even walked in. It became clear that this was where young women shop for their bar star clothing. Everything looked cheap, in quality and in style. The clothing felt inexpensive and it sure was. There were many shirts available for $14.99 or less. This store also has mens clothing, but I didn't even bother wandering into that part of the store. There were a couple of bathing suits displayed that would leave little to the imagination and tank tops that were cut so low, I wondered if women would be allowed to wear them in public. I will not be setting foot in this store again. My money is better spend elsewhere, and my body deserves better quality clothing.

Okay, the prices were cheap, so that would explain it. But the store tries to make itself look upscale and the clothes just don't fit the part one bit. They seem tacky...almost thrift-store tacky at times. The entire time I was in the store they were playing Coldplay. If you read Francesca's review below, you would realize that Coldplay doesn't exactly fit the kind of people that would shop here. Shopping here was truly an odd experience, and I doubt I'll come back to this store at any time.

But we did stop in while in Kingsway and am glad I did. I was going to an 80s party the next day and they had some great accessories. I got a set of 4 neon small nail polishes and they were on sale in a bin of 3/$5 or $2 each! I definitely made good use of the hot pink, green, and yellow polishes. Even the next day I received compliments on my nails, now I know neon is cool again! We also saw a display of hair clips beside the cash area. Not something I would wear now, but perfect for 80s theme! We found a few different clips, some large and some smaller and they were 3/$5 as well. There wasn't a mirror near the display but the associate told us there was a mirror at the back of the store. The display also had other fun and funky jewelry but nothing I would wear now. I mentioned to the guy who rang up my purchase that they were great for an 80s party I was attending. He gave me a tip for make up and where to go check it out. I appreciated his prompt service and the tip!

This store is located inside Kingsway Mall upstairs…read more It has a decent selection of pop culture items that is always changing according to what is current. If you watch for the sales and join the loyalty program, you can get some pretty decent deals. On this particular visit, the staff was very helpful and helped me find what I was looking for. That can be hit and miss depending on who is working. This is the smaller of the two stores. The other is located inside WEM. This store can be claustrophobic. If there are more than a few customers, it can be difficult to navigate. Hot Topic carries a lot of different brand names. Some of the sizing is really small; though not Hot Topic's fault! If you collect POP figures, this is a great place to find them. They always have a deal on where you can get 3 of them for $36! Nerdy fashion, yes. Accessories, yes. Footwear, rarely. I know shoes take up a lot of room, but it would be lovely to get a head to toe look.
