The store is clean and well stocked. The staff are nice and fast at check out lanes. They have sales throughout the year. I really like their jewelry. Sometimes you will find good brands for less than $10. I also like their decorations. They have very cute items for all seasons. I had an hour to spare, so stopped in to look for some greeting cards. Not only did I find cards, but I found 4th of July pug figures! They look EXACTLY like my dogs! The size ratios and expressions. I couldn't be more happy! They were only $12 each and I will love them forever. What a deal! I stopped in around 11 am and the store wasn't too busy, so the check out was quick. First the store was really dirty. Ghetto status. Next why are the same exact shoes marked at different prices and saying because it's a different line. They are the same exact shoes. Then when asking other employees I guess they aren't happy with their jobs but you want to chime in and be nosey and talk bad about customers. Before you start to do that you should know who the customer is so you don't do it right in front of them. This is why I rather just shop at Amazon. Good deals and less hassle. Marshalls to me is almost like a thrift store. You really have to search for the hidden gem items. One of my favorite things about coming to them though is they have discounted Bocce dog treats that my dogs really love. On my recent trip, I stopped by to grab a few bags of Bocce treats, and saw that they had about 10 different selections! Each bag was roughly under $5 so I grabbed two. This Marshalls was surprisingly busy for 8:30pm on a Tuesday night. The lines were long but they went by quick and the check out process was super easy with our friendly cashier. Parking is small, but there's enough spaces to not really have to look for one. My dog ended up loving the two types of treats I got for him so I'd say this was a win! read more

I have been to this Marshalls before. I came here for the snoopy bed sheets emotions set. It was so cute & adorable. I wish they have more varieties of snoopy bed sheets and throw blankets. I couldn't find the throw blanket I wanted. Today, I got the peanuts Christmas bed sheet since this was the only one they have in stock. I was lucky enough to get the snoopy Christmas sets. The store is clean, organized, and good searches for clothing and other house essentials. The service was fast & employee is very nice and friendly. Pricing is affordable depending on which item you get. Parking is very hard to find since it's always pack had to park on the other side. read more

This Marshal's is terrible when it comes to checking out. The cashier's deep check the labels when it comes to clearance labels. They make it seem as they get rewarded for deep checking the labels. They shouldn't mark down items, then make it seem like we are changing the tags. They are going to loose more money and customers if they keep making people feel uncomfortable. It's a waste of time and money. I will not be shopping here anymore. Not worth the energy or time to spend here. I'll take my business elsewhere. read more

Had an exchange for a damaged item I purchased at a Marshall's in Cypress that's a dual Home Goods. Well, they wouldn't take it since the sticker says Home Goods. How inconvenient! It's not my fault although you're the same company AND it was a dual store that you don't have systems that recognize that. Do better. Annoyed. 12/11/21 OK I am being generous with three stars it should really be at two but OK it was a convenient location at the time so they get a three. Customer service could be improved, definitely. The 2 staff I asked weren't the most helpful bunch when I was looking for certain items. It is as if I'm a bother. I get it, everyone is getting to that point but as a worker, you need to dig deeper from within, customers are the reason you're employed.... Oh man, I felt claustrophobic & I don't have that phobia. I was worried my crutch was going to accidentally knock over breakable items as I passed by! The selections are definitely more limited & since I've never been here before, it was hard looking for items and I was in a hurry. I looked up for the signage over the ceiling, barely visible. The organization is definitely lacking. I was super annoyed-add that to the staff who were not very helpful, it was not a pleasant experience. At the very least, the check out time was not bad & of course, I happened to be in line next to the employee who is on training. I waited patiently as she rang me up while her trainer instructed her in a calm & supportive voice. Her name is Holly, I hope she survives training because she didn't look like her heart was in it. Holly looked like she could use some more customer service videos to teach her to smile & present her best foot forward. Maybe it's a seasonal job for her. If you don't mind the cramped spaces & employees who look like they don't like their jobs, this is the place for you. read more

I don't like walking into any store with a purse for safety reasons. I take a small wallet and my phone in my pocket. I walked into Marshall's with my protein drink and a bottle of water. Immediately a manager with blonde frizzy, bushy hair told me "you can't have that in here" I walked it back to my car and looked at the sings in front of the store window. Nothing indicated that you can't have a drink with you. I walked back in and asked her if there was a sign indicating that. She responded "no, they are in the back making one right now" I told her, "if I had a purse you wouldn't know if I had a drink on me" she responded "correct. So I come here most every Saturday morning. One occasion a little rat dog took a poop on the floor inside the store and another occasion someone walked out of the store with merchandise without paying.... Yet, you want to fuss about me having water and a protein drink??? I'm hypoglycemic and a bariatric patient, I always have to have something with me. And I shouldn't have to disclose my medical conditions to justify having those things on me. This has changed my mind about coming to Marshall's ever again or recommending people go to any Marshall's for that matter. read more

Its a good spot, have a lot of things you're looking for whether its dog stuff, or clothes. I usually come here to get my dog toys or beds when I dont want to spend too much money next door at pet smart. I will say that sometimes it feels a little unsafe with the homeless activity and looting from time to time. One time I was checking out and somebody walked out with literal bags full of clothes without paying, I looked at the cashier and she said "theres nothing we can do about that" and laughed. I wanted to share an experience I had with a cashier at Register 1 ( wed July 2 around 11ish ) that left me feeling uncomfortable. She has blondish hair, Hispanic and sort of messed up teeth. During checkout, she was very pushy about signing up for a credit card, even after I said I wasn't interested. While I was making small talk and mentioned how sad things have been lately due to recent ICE-related issues, her response sorta gave , "They should've done it the right way," which felt insensitive given how personal and serious that topic is for many people in this area. When I gave her some coins for change, she also made a comment about pennies being gone next year and told me to hand them all over. My mom made a quick comment out of frustration ' dumb president' , and the cashier immediately started defending the president, which felt unnecessary and uncomfortable especially from everything he has done. I understand that everyone has their own opinions, but I don't think a checkout line is the place for political or judgmental comments while being on the clock. especially in a store that serves a diverse community. A little more empathy and professionalism would go a long way. I also noticed there was another review about a racist situation in the fitting in this location. Don't get me wrong MOST of the employees are polite and helpful including this one young girl name samantha I believe she was kind enough helping me and my mother find a price as well opening the restroom when we waited for a while for someone to open it. read more

Their customer service is the best out of most nearby locations. They are very nice and understanding on the phone and seem like they genuinely want to help out the customer! Other locations have been somewhat rude and uninviting but this location has some really nice and friendly workers that makes me feel like they actually care. I went to marshalls today but i thought maybe i had walked into the Barrio, it is so riesty and messy in marshalls. The associates look and act like they hate their lives. One hispanic lady was very loud and disruptive in line and she happened to be an employee. She was speaking in spanish to everybody and she was rude. Lot of weight being thrown around there. I love marshalls in general so I can't give low stars for the sometimes long lines and not so neat store. This store isn't bad at all. I come here pretty often. Their stock isn't the best, but they have great items. I always love the seasonal items. Sometimes the lines are very long. I think they can do better to have more cashiers at a time.the thing I do not like about this store is the parking lot. Omg it can be a nightmare looking for a parking spot most the time since it is shared with two other popular stores like dollar tree and ralphs. It just is a busy intersection in general. Horrible horrible service! I understand certain return policies since I've worked in retail before. But today, I was taken back by the return policy an associate explained to me. I made a purchase in the morning at a Marshall's in Santa Ana and I took my items home and tried them on. But unfortunately they did not fit. So, I decided to stop by the Marshalls near my job in Garden Grove. I went in with my item and receipt in hand. Once I went up to the cash register, the associate told me he was unable to take my return due to the fact that it had not been 24 hours since I purchased it and that it was from different location, that I had to wait 24 hours since time of purchase since the funds take about 24 hours to reach the store. I have had no trouble with any returns before up until now. No where in their return policy does it explain that kind of situation. It's unbelievable. read more

I am very Disappointed with this specific store. I was shopping for furniture today and my 8 yr old daughter needed to potty. We asked an employee and she said that they were cleaning the restroom. I was ok with that answer until we walk by the restroom and a customer was just walking out of it. I asked him if he know the code and he said an employee had open the door for him. So I go back to find an employee again and This time I talked to the "supervisor " TERESA. Clean, organized, good selection. There were a lot of shoes and clothes that I thought were super cute and wanted to try on. There aren't a lot of employees walking around to help, but that's okay. They have some stuff on clearance that are great deals as well. A lot of other reviews mention bad customer service. I think my cashier wasn't particularly friendly and a bit stoic. She still rung up the items correctly and and said "have a nice day" in a monotone voice...nothing wrong with that! There was barely a line when I was there. read more

(do not touch the disinfectant spray or paper Towels) seriously??? You should have someone attending the carts !! We should not have to ASSume you already disinfected! Got a gift card and spent it quickly! I was able to get 2 skirts, and a Paul Frank sleeve for my laptop for about $30. I was stoked! Especially because I had been eyeing that exact sleeve for MONTHS on the PF website. But I just couldn't find it in my heart (or bank account) to pay $50 for a sleeve. But thanks to Marshall's I got it for only $15. :') And I also want to add that the new dressing rooms are nothing short of AMAZING! They got a complete make over! New mirrors with lighting that will have you staring at yourself for a while! And they have cute things to hang your clothes that say things like "Definitely" and "Maybe Later" so that you can separate your clothes after you've tried it on. SO CUTE. So the customer service here is non existent. Let me just say, I have worked in retail before at many current and well known retailers and that is how I came to realize.... I CANT WORK IN RETAIL. With that said, if you're going to work in retail, you need to be on point with the customer service. I came here on Saturday and it wasn't that busy. I usually start shopping in the beauty section and then make my way to the home goods. I don't really look in the clothing sections because it's always crowded and hard to maneuver around others' carts without being in someone's personal space. However, on my way to the home goods, I saw a very pretty maxi dress. This y'all rack is in the back of the clothing section and has two sides. An associate was on the other side I was on and was organizing. After a few seconds, she made her way to my side. Now, I'm still browsing and looking through the rack and homegirl starts organizing the dresses that I am looking at! Wtf. Not only was she organizing the dresses that I was browsing but she was doing it aggressively. I wanted to buy the dress I was looking at but I decided to put it back because she made me feel like I shouldn't. I honestly wanted to tell a manager right away because that is not how you should act around a customer. Again, I have worked in retail before and yes, you do have your daily tasks (putting things away) but if a customer is looking at a section, it's rude to. It's not like the store was closing or I was being messy and putting things in the wrong place. I don't think I will ever go back there. I'll stick to buying clothes online. read more

Here is why: A pattern of criminal activity operated by a group of employees Here is how potential victims whose primary languages are not English can be targeted for overcharging: 1. Cashiers hide paid items and not put them in the shopping bag. 2. Cashiers scan a single item twice or more Real story: I went here and purchased a couple of items, but here are two items that were stolen and/or overcharged. 1. A toothpaste that shares the same SKU as any other beauty care products - $9.99 (not put in my bag/ likely stolen behind the counter) 2. A tweed cardigan - $14.99 (scanned twice) I came back the next day to ask for a refund and informed an employee that I would escalate and bring in law enforcement. A customer who was standing in front of me at the time told me that she and her acquaintances had also been overcharged before and no refunds were issued. Although I got a refund, it was very upsetting to be informed that that customer never got a refund of at least $70 (approximately the price of three sweaters that she purchased at this location in 2020) I would not be so mad if I had not known that they target the minorities or elders. Summary of the conversation that I had with another cashier from whom I requested a refund: Him: Do you have the item (cardigan) with you? Me: I don't have the one that was never placed into the shopping bag. Him: We just want to verify the style. Me: Then check the receipt and look for the SKU. Him: Many items here have the same SKU despite having different styles. Me: Then check your inventory to see how many of those you have left on that specific day. Him: I'm sorry *blah blah* we need to see the item... Me: Okay, then how about giving me back this $9.99 item that was never put in my bag first? :) Him: Do you remember what that item was? Me: Check the SKU. I won't tell you. Him: Do you remember who your cashier was? Me: Look at the receipt and see who works on that day at that time. Him: When did you purchase these? Me: Yesterday and it was at cashier number 8 Him: *turned around and talked to his two other co-workers in another language rather than English in a hurry and worrying manner and then issued me the refund* Anyway, please inform your family about this, especially elders because it hurts more when the hard earned/ saved money is stolen for them; and if transactions are paid with cash, it is impossible to proceed to a dispute with a bank in the case that no refunds are issued. The customer who let me know about her case said that they told her to come back the following day to speak with their manager; and when she came back, they told her something like it was already a cold case. And that kind of confidence to steal must have something to do with how long CCTV footages can be stored in their system. I don't think that it is a coincidence that they cared so much about when I purchased my stuff and even got so frightened that they forgot that all the answers were on the receipt that they were already holding. I stopped by the store yesterday to buy a curling iron, when I realized I didn't have my wallet. I frantically started searching for it in the hair care isle and the staff who was there was so kind and patient, especially considering I must have a made a mess looking for my wallet. Turns out it was in my car but I really appreciate everyone who was there. Tim and Carolina especially empathized with me as well as Lesly, Nathan, Valeria, and Mario who where also there.
