I have been going here since I have moved and they always have a lot of goodies in their makeup, skin care and stationary. Even thought the makeup sections has some smashed palettes and fingerprints (looking at you reckless kiddos), I still find really good deals and new faves. I know people say their workers are rude and terrible but surprisingly, I never had a bad apple worker (except the worker who squeezed through a narrow aisle with me there...maybe it's an honest mistake I don't know) but the cashier people are always accommodating and nice to talk too! read more

It's just that I didn't like one of their workers here.. She will give you attitude. She folding clothes and she doesn't even have an I.D. and she has the nerve to tell us not to touch the cologne section. She was talking to someone that she knows and refuses to help other people. I wanted to call her out but don't wanna disrespectful. She's acting like she owns the store. I wanted to come back here and I'm hoping she doesn't work there anymore. Horrible customer service from the manager working Friday night on July 5,2019. I will be contacting their corporate office on Monday.

The customer service here is horrible. I tried to return a jacket with a receipt. The Marshall price tag was fell off when i purchase it but i still have the tag. When The cashier saw the price tag was not attached to the jacket, she then inspected the jacket back and forth for 5 mins and said the jacket was used. She said the jacket look dirty with stains. I don't see any stains on it. I said that's how i bought it and that it was not used. I asked to speak to the store manager. As the manager came, the cashier explained the situations and then the manager said they can't take the jacket back since it was used. I keep explaining to them that it was not used and that i had the receipt showing it was purchased within a month but they refuse to take it back. I had to call the corporate office, they said that they will take the jacket back but i have to mail the jacket to them since they can't override the store decision. I love shopping at Marshall but would never shop here again. If the price tag fall off when you purchase the jacket, tell the employee to put it back on. read more

You never know what you will find here! The store is kept pretty in comparison to Ross. Also, in comparison to Ross I usually find Marshal's staff much better. Good stuff for a good price, also a good time killer. I come here when I am on a budget and almost always find the right stuff for the right price. Money well spent. read more

I hate to say this, but I find Marshalls ( and Ross) looking like thrift shops (or yard sales) when entering. The merchandise is hardly placed in a neat and concise manner. Most of the things are found in a very schlocky mode. Items can be seen on the ground, out of order, and not really of the most popular or recent styles when it comes to clothing or other items. I know there are many who find what they need at the store. But for me, there is nothing I need at that site based upon the lack of quality, quantity, and style. I love shopping at Marshall's and I used come here like twice a month. So I would return some things every now and then. I did not like how I was questioned once because the tag wasn't placed correctly on a merchandise I had bought by another Marshall's and the girl cashier made a huge deal about how they don't tag their stuff a certain way and she could not return it. I had my receipt and everything. I cannot stand when cashiers make it seem like I am the one taking their money when it is money I paid to the store, which according to the policy on receipt I am entitled to return. read more

The manager Teresa that worked on Sunday December 30th at 340 was extremely rude and unhelpful. An ornament I purchased was broken and unfortunately I wasn't able to see until it was opened. Very organized and they have a lot of stuff. The layout reminds me a little of the store that is in the Metro Pointe in Costa Mesa. I saw a lot of cute stuff for home, patio/ garden and nice selection of clothing, shoes and handbags. Fitting rooms were ok clean. read more

I had bought a gift and it took to the last day to get it back and returned to the store on the 30th. Day to find out the store was closed. I've ask two of the workers that they've been waiting for their ride and I was told It was to late and I could only get credit for the items. The attitude and demeanor was deplorable. Been a Marshalls shopper for years and I KNOW that you can return things without a receipt, but you need to keep your tags on. I tried to return a bag without a receipt and they told me it wasn't in the system, AND they were very rude about it. "This is why we give out receipts" Even their website says I can return with no receipt, I just have to take store credit. Love the deals, hate the location and parking, especially on the weekends. The parking lot is super tiny, so you're likely going to have to park a bit out and walk. The store is smaller than other Marshall's I've been to, and they don't have as much things in stock. I usually love browing through the trinkets isles; but there were barely much to look at. The Marshalls here has particularly rude employees. I went today and I saw the staff giving a lot of attitude to a shopper asking if there was a duplicate of a suitcase she wanted since the original was damaged. The cashier replied with a lot of sass and when the woman asked for the suitcase to be discounted because of the damage, the cashier was like "This is a department store. We don't do discounts." Kind of ruined my shopping experience. There's not a great selection. The store is usually very messy and dusty. The merchandise is often damaged in some way but still expensive for its condition. Horrible service and attitude from the manager Tereza. She lied to me several times about the return policy and about the system not being able to give store credit. Tereza and another employee took my items and my receipt to the back counter were they talked for a minute. I had a valid gift receipt and she said my item wasn't on the receipt. Mind you, she did not scan anything on the register. All tags were on the items and my items were unused as well. I even informed her that I had been traveling all day and had drove from corona bc I was running errands for my sisters event to which she rudely replied "oh what, they don't have a marshalls in corona?" What a way to respond, Big turn off. I went to another location, they were able to scan my receipt and the item, and it showed up in the system. What a poor way to prevent "not making the day" at your store. Yes, I work retail too, and yes, I know how it works. Had she even decided to be at least polite or try to scan the item, I would've spent money at her store. That won't ever happen though. Dressing area is clean, so you don't have to worry about a roach tripping you and rat stealing your wallet. Service is decent. Me and my family shop here all the time, and tonight were insulted by a cashier, claiming we added the incorrect tag to a Tommy Hilfiger jacket which was already priced $60. The cashier said we normally have the tag on the right hand side and it is not the correct price, she then proceeded to get a price check. Once the other associate came to the cash register and spoke in Spanish "don't sell them that because I know it's worth more than that price" as she walked passed us, in which we all overheard and not knowing I too spoke Spanish. It was truly uncalled for, unprofessional and lacked so much customer service at that point. So we asked her not to ring us up and have the manager on duty take care of our transaction. Beware, anything you buy in beauty is final sale. I bought a box of masks and boxes of eyelashes last week, I tried to return it today unopened and unused with a receipt and was told you cannot get a refund on anything you buy in beauty. Since I have never had any trouble returning beauty items before this new policy really pissed me off. Nowhere in the store or in the receipt says final sale on all beauty items. Several of the employees are very rude, several are very nice. They are so busy stocking and have the aisles blocked and give you the stink eye if you try to get by, have complained several times. I've never reviewed this place because its never really needed one. Also never checked but am a regular to this location with my wife. So me(was there, but already a messy area) and this couple(that literally just got there) that was looking around the electronics section minding our business was approached by employee(Lady that didn't give her name or wear a name tag, but believed to either be a stuck up b****h or a store manager). Not only was being presumptuous, rude, and obnoxious. Told us(or more blatantly yelled at us) whoever knocked down the phone cases and cables to pick them up as they try their hardest to keep it clean. Now we told her that we didnt go near that area and are just looking at stock on the shelves. She stayed at a nearby clothes rack there pretending to work to watch us till we left. I'm a patient and pretty mellow guy, but was inches if not centimeters from going off in the store. Went in to browse around, and looked at the baby clothes....very organized, I went straight to 6-9 months and it was all the same. I bought about 18 outfits and a towel and it was less than 30 bucks. Marshalls is a great store overall, but specifically talking about the one in Garden Grove is not so good. I called to find out if they had an item I really wanted, they took forever to answer the call which i understand it gets busy on Sundays. They went to go find the item and seconds later said they did not have it. 5 minutes later I go to the store to double check and they had more then 1 of that item. I visited one of their newest location off of Chapman in the city of Orange. That location had a great selection of shoes ... but I was disappointed with their other depts. I came back to Marshalls in Garden Grove. I love to shop their houseware, frames, and especially their discount area in the back of the store. I rarely come to this store but today I felt like it was the perfect store to shop at because of the clothing items I want to purchase. The minute I walk in, all I can hear is this one lady yelling but then I realized she just talks really loud. After 10 minutes, I hoped she leave so I could shop in peace. She was a Marshall's employee!!! And she was getting all the other girls amped up. I don't know if the rules differ at this workplace than any other workplace but I know you're supposed to keep voices and personal conversation to a minimum. And none of that was just professional at all. Sounded like a bunch of teenagers with no consideration of how loud their being. I couldn't wait to leave that store ! This location is minutes away from my house so I hope this experience doesn't prevent me from coming back but should push staff members to get a grip on their customer service. If I could I would give this store a zero rating, I walked in at 9:20 to the store, I knew it was closing soon so I wanted to make my purchase as fast as possible (I was looking for sweatpants), so I go to the active wear section and a lady tells me that the store will be closing soon, I told ohh okay and tried to look for it even faster since she was rushing me, not even a minute after she told me she said the security is watching you, I go to where she was and asked her what, and she said you know the security is watching you, I was wearing gym cloths so idk why she told me that, idk if I looked like a thief or something so idk why she was in a mood and as I walked away from her she was still looking at me and made sure I left the section she was in, she has black curly hair, idk why the store would hire someone like that I've been there at those times and no one has ever told me this and I go there a good amount of times, it just shocks me that they would hire someone so disrespectful and rude, like I get it that you're closing but to lie that someone is watching me, when I'm not doing anything suspicious, it got me upset that I was being told things when I was not doing anything wrong, in all honesty maybe they should hire better people. read more

This store sometimes has some pretty good things that are much cheaper than if they are bought at other stores. They seem to always have name brand purses and shoes at affordable prices. I bought an Etienne Aigner messenger bag here for $40 that costs $107 if bought directly from their store or site. There's usually also other brand names such as Juicy Couture, Dooney and Bourke, Coach, Franco Sarto, or Steve Madden. They don't carry a lot of shoes, especially men's shoes. Most of the time I don't find clothes that I like in the juniors section. I give this store four stars because I don't always find something I would like to purchase here. Theres a lot of clearance clothes. There is plenty of parking. read more

I just would like to state that customer service here is terrible. Especially from managers, specifically Liz. I tried to return a purse, and at first she said it's dirty. However it was wipe-off-able and I bought it like that. After proving to her that it was able to be wiped off, she said I couldn't return it because there was a scratch on the bottom of the purse. However, I BOUGHT IT LIKE THAT. I EVEN CONFIRMED WITH THE CASHIER AND SHE SAID IT WAS OKAY TO RETURN IT IF ANYTHING. I also took off the tag because it was a gift, again with the cashier confirming with me as long as I bring the tag back. After the manager couldn't stick with her statement since I proved her wrong, she said I couldn't return it because the tag is off. Liz, you and your cashiers are telling me different things. This isn't how it should be. She didn't even want to deal with me so she referred me to upper management, which I will bring this issue to upper management. read more

Beware Marshall has an undisclosed rules that if their systems can't find your items you can't get store credit. Apparently they can take the items off as early as 3 months aftet your purchase. This rule is not ckearly disclosed sny where in their stores. Apparently the term "Other rules apply" is the notice they use to deny a store credit return. As explained store managers can't override in this situation. read more

So I read this yelp that was posted 2 days ago for this store and it had me laughing not because of the comments made but because it's all true I come to this store occasionally and every time I come I come with my wife and she is always looking for deals....I'm always walking around I like to see the shoes they have good deals for kids ...and then I see the (fat girl) and yes she does stand around frankly doing nothing and does give me dirty looks as well..now I thought it was just me but reading this other post it's not I asked one of the workers who she was and he said she was a manager. There are plenty of nice people which Is why we still come to this location but last week I came in by myself and I saw that same girl and that other guy ( gay guy ) and they were both giving me dirty looks I'm sorry but if ur management level u need to go do some yoga to release stress and be happy at work stop being sour pusses .. I'm sure that guy was a manager too or else why would he be standing around with a manager while everyone else works.. People that are nice, the nice young fitting room girl dark hair always nice when my wife is in there taking her sweet time in the fitting room she is always in a pleasant mood wen my wife needs a size she tries get me to go get another size she always directs me to were the item is located .
