So we were looking for an áo dài to wear for an event. I am a big guy and am decidedly outside of the normal size most places stock. As we roamed the area, we not only could not find the size I needed, but also it was essentially the hostile dim sum service level of clothing stores each and every time. Minh Son was different. Not only did they have avast selection of styles AND sizes but the lady was super friendly and helpful. We quickly found one I liked and more importantly fit me and we were on our way. The prices were more or less in line with everybody else, but the customer service set them apart. The service was amazing! I came here based off of other reviews and im so glad i did. Parking was super easy. Right when i walked in, i was greeted and assisted right away. Its my first time buying an ao dai since a kid so i wasnt sure where to even start. She gave me multiple options and made me feel super comfortable mentioning that if a certain size didnt fit, she had all sizes. I believe the largest she mentioned she had up to was a 6X! Very good selection and prices in terms of áo dài, but i felt like the service could've been better. The lady that was helping me pick my áo dài was extremely pushy. When I told her what colors I was looking for she pulls out some of the tackiest patterns for me (no offense) it was as if she was trying to sell me items that weren't that popular. I insisted that I could look on my own but she still continued to be very pushy. My second issue was that the same lady barged on me while I was changing. I came here to look for my first ao dai ever and although the lady (we'll call her Lady A) who helped us was nice, the elderly lady (we'll call her Lady B), who I assume is the owner of the store, is SO rude. Lady A was helping me find an ao dai that meets my criteria and she encouraged me to try them on, which I did. Little did I know that there was a caveat to trying them on (more on this later). I vocalized that I didn't like a few of them when trying those on and then I tried on one that was decent but I wasn't in love with it. I told her that the last one I tried was the nicest. I planned to go around some other local stores before purchasing so I told both ladies that I need some more time to think before buying. Lady B got SO upset and was like "You only try it if you plan on buying it!" I was so confused because in my mind, "I'll buy it if I like it. The only way I can tell if I like it is if I try it on to see if it's flattering." Anyways, I walked out to head to another store down the plaza to see if there's other designs and styles that this other store may carry that I may like. While I was there at the second store, Lady B actually PHONE CALLED the owner of the second store to tell her that I'm not going to buy anything and to not let me try on anything. This owner even told me that Vietnamese custom is and I quote "You have to know what you like before trying. You have to plan on buying it before trying." Worst experience I've ever had - soured my entire experience buying my first ao dai. Thankfully, I went into Asian Garden Mall and the store owners were SO much nicer. Some even encouraged me to try them on. I was so scarred by my experience at Minh Son, I asked them back "Are you sure? What if I don't like it and won't buy it?" They assured me that it was fine and asked me back how else would I know if I like it. Anyways, don't come here. Or if you do, don't try on any ao dai unless you plan on buying it. read more

Found an ao dai here for my aunt after mentioning to the shop owner that I needed an ao dai for no more than $40. She pulled one out which was one of the last styles. My aunt loved her ao dai. The selection here is beautiful as well, but still a bit limited. read more

I was looking for an ao dai for a friend's wedding and came here based on a recommendation from my friend. I had previously checked out the different stores at Phuoc Loc Tho, but was disappointed in their limited selection or rude service. Minh Son is located down the street from Phuoc Loc Tho in the corner of the plaza with T4 boba, Cho Tam Bien, and Wells Fargo. Minh Son had an extensive selection of various styles of ao dai's and the BEST customer service. The woman helping me was so sweet and helpful! She was not pushy or insisting dresses looked "good" on me so that I would buy it. In fact, she even helped me find the perfect colored pants for the ao dai I wanted to purchase and even brought out some ao dai's from the back for me to try on when I wasn't finding a fabric design I liked. Although it was hot in the store, she was willing to move the fan near the fitting room so it'd be cool while I tried on dresses. Their selection was varied. I personally found less "tacky" patterns of fabric compared to the stores in Phuoc Loc Tho. I ended up purchasing a beautiful pre-made ao dai with pants for $40, which is roughly around the price the other ao dai stores at Phuoc Loc Tho were asking for ($35-$65). If you are looking for a beautiful pre-made ao, I HIGHLY recommend that you come here! The service and the selection is fantastic! read more

I brought family members here to buy Vietnamese dresses (Ao Dai) for special events or for Lunar Calendar New Year several time. They have a variety of Vietnamese dresses already made for adults, children, men and women. Lot of style and color for you to choose. They have two small dressing rooms so you can try on. Beside dresse and blouse, they also carry a variety of items mostly import from Hong Kong or Viet Nam. You do have to negotiate a little bit but their prices are very reasonable and the two ladies who work there are very patient. You can try on several dresses and they are happy to look for sizes. Keep in mind that these dresses were made in Viet Nam so their cut is usually small however, these ladies will help you find your size. They do not have alteration service here so you will have to find your own seamstress if you need any alteration. We got dresses from here for around $35 to $60, depend on how fancy the dress is. If you need to wear ao dai for a special occasion and do not want to rent or pay too much to have it made (usually to make a dress will cost you around $100 to $250 including fabric and labor), then come to this shop. There are 2 more shops in this shopping center however, this one has more selection and I like their service the best. read more
