There are other locations without this issue, but the store is not as big.

THEN I looked at the price on the shelf. $39. - wait - that's $10 more than the app says it is. ...aaah! The item is $10 if you buy "online" (or with the app) So, here I am, holding the desired item in my hands, but with the opportunity to save 25% if I buy "online". Ok. I'll buy on the app and do store pickup. Annoying but that's $10 I can spend on AI tokens or lottery tickets (whichever my AI agent instructs me to do) So I order and pay for the item. Now I have to wait. And wait. And wait. Why oh why oh why can't I just take the item in my hands and pay the same price in the store as buying "online"? It's cheaper to take this same item, have a store associate look for it, stick it in the pickup storage, send me a text, and have me either come to the pickup line or wait in my car for this item right here in my hands?? What the hell kind of logic is that? I sat in the parking lot for almost 2 hours waiting to see how this would go. When I finally got the notification that it was ready, I went back into the store, interrupting my epic streak on my "Pawdoku" game to go to the pickup counter. The pickup counter? The customer service desk. Yep. Get in line buddy, behind all those people at the customer service desk. Another 15 minute wait. What a joke. Corporations beware: THIS is what happens when that CEO sets goals like "we want to shift 40% of our sales to our digital channels" or some dumb crap like that. The customer's actual experience that looks oh-so-good on paper and oh-so-good on the executive dashboard, goes right into the toilet and what do people remember? The product? The prices? No. The EXPERIENCE. Stop doing dumb stuff, Target. Think about customers and their actual experience, and stop having different prices for the exact same product that's sitting on the shelf as a "lure" to make those digital engagement numbers look good. You suck. ALERT TO UX people at Target!! - print this review out and do a customer journey map, starting with "customer touches and feels the item and decides they want to buy it for the price they saw on the app that led them into the store". And don't inject crap like "with increased customer dwell, they're more likely to buy convenience items and coffee" - NO. The customer is annoyed. Write that down. The customer doesn't want your coffee or your convenience items. He needs a god-damned folding table and to spend his gift card. Write that down too. He showed me around, looked up additional items online at other stores and I told him I would be back. I visited at Home for furniture and found my best bet with availability (in-stock), price and convenience was located at Big Lots!, in The Colony. I returned late afternoon and Mr. Pat remembered me, I told him I was ready. One of the items was not available; he worked with his manager Erin and I was able to get the floor model. She was AMAZING, she made sure I received my discounts and again, very professional and attentive. I usually visit my neighborhood Big Lots for Knick knacks; but, I must say, I will be spending more time there thanks to Mr. Pat and the manager, Erin.

I was there by noon on a Wednesday so the crowd was light and the lines super short. Found Zyrtec and yes, saved a bundle of cash. Also found these nifty charged light bulbs. Last week we had a power outage. Next time I'll be ready. Coscto has a 6 pack of battery backup bulbs for $9.99. Power goes out, these stay on for up to 10 hrs so you don't bump around looking for lanterns. Even has 2 portable sockets to carry a charged bulb around like a lantern. Whoda thunk? Anyhow, didn't get a hotdog deal or frogurt berry swirl. Staying focused on my 6 pack. Don't want those 6 pounds back on. My goal is -2 more by June. Easy peasy. Love ya peeps.
