I used to come here often when I lived in Brentwood but it's about 5 miles away now so I don't get to visit as often as I'd like to. However, I did note a few changes from when I used to come here a lot. 1. This location is much more organized than it used to. They keep it clean and orderly. I could spend a whole day browsing and way too much money. 2. Their shoes department has so many selection and quite a number of clearance items, too! 3. Their pet aisles have a lot of good toy options. I recently got a new pup and I have been looking for a place with good quality toys and treats and visiting this location, I was not disappointed and neither is my new corgi! From small toys to treats to beds and food bowls, they really have a lot here for a great price. Lastly, the associates are friendly. Check out was quick and the lady was very nice. Pretty decent Marshalls. This is one of the well stocked locations. It's well organized and they had some pretty decent deals. I found some cute heels, and of course my favourite face cleanser. I also found some high end perfume while browsing that was returned by a customer. The price was still a little out of budget for me. read more

The store is open late enough on Sundays, which is a plus for me but the store isn't that big. It carries the basic Marshall items but when there isn't much to offer I'd hope so. I walked in and looked around and was out of the store in less than 30 min. Of course, I needed something specific for a five year old. Left the store disappointed because I'm on a last minute hunt. A positive aspect is that the store was clean and there were workers on the floor, IF I would've needed help with something. The furniture options were decent. Though, I don't understand Marshall's pricing because the furniture doesn't look too sturdy to be marked with such high prices (my opinion). I do recommend to give the store a look, because they may have what you need. Just not for me. read more

I like Marshalls a lot and this location is close to where I live so I do frequent this location. I was just out and about the other day and thought I would stop in to see if there was anything good to buy. I walked in and just started browsing. Before I knew it I had a few items in my hand. I also found an awesome Kate Spade purse that I had to have. Since the purse was locked up I had to ask for someone to come unlock it. I pressed the button, but no one came. I pressed it again...still no one came over. I walked over to a few of the workers who were doing a floor set-up and asked for help. They were very helpful and someone came over quickly to help me and they unlocked the purse for me. They won't hand you the purse, they bring it to the register up front for you to claim when you are ready to purchase. Strange, but I get it. I browsed the store and took a look at some of the holiday items on sale; shopping after the holidays is always a great time to purchase cool gifts for next year! I was done shopping and so I went to the front of the store and waited in line. My only complaint? The line to check out takes forever! They only had 2 registers open so I had to be patient and wait for my turn. When I made it to the register I asked for the purse that was brought over and the clerk scanned it along with my other items. She wasn't very chatty, but neither was I. I paid and was on my way with my new purse and a few other goodies. read more

Wow, this is the best Marshalls I have ever shopped. It was clean, well organized and had stuff I actually wanted to buy. The other day I went shopping at The Rack, looking for a short sleeved linen shirt and had no luck. I found it here and for only $20. What a deal. I hope they can keep it up. If they can, I will be a repeat offender. I mean, I will be a repeat shopper. I only shopped the Men's Dept., but the shoe selection looked huge as did the home area. Deer Creek Plaza has been totally redone, I'm looking forward to shopping the other new stores as they open. read more

This Marshall's was very clean. There were not clothes laying on the floor, so the staff must really be on top of their game to keep the place looking spiffy. Of the several times I have been here and needed to try on clothing, there has always been an attendant. There is always a staff member standing at the door to greet you as you enter and to say goodbye when you leave. While I don't mind if I am greeted or not when entering a store, I guess it is a good way to cut down on shoplifting. In the ladies department, there is a long rack devoted just to leggings! I mean, I would have expected a rack for pants, but this is an entirely separate rack of just leggings. Crazy. Now that Christmas is over, the home goods section is looking a little bare since all the seasonal merchandise has been removed and all the inexpensive cookware/barware has been picked over. I was just followed for 30+ mins and it made me so uncomfortable I asked for the manager. When I told her what was going on she had a nonchalant attitude about the situation. I work 60 hrs a week and just wanted to do some shopping on my only off day and was treated like a criminal. I don't know if it was because of my casual clothes, dark skin or my blonde natural hair. Whatever it was it wasn't right at all. I really needed the things I picked up in my cart. How could I continue to shop if someone insisted on being my shadow. Worst experience ever! Just because I'm black and taking my time because I'm on the phone doesn't mean I'm STEALING. I work hard at the 2 jobs I have and don't deserve that type of stereotypical behavior from a Marshalls employee. read more

as someone who's never stolen anything (besides a tootsie pop when I was kid and yes, I did cry about it), I feel as if the employees here select & target random individuals to shadow. They're not slick, they crouch behind aisles and follow you around and it makes the shopping experience Very overwhelming. DO NOT TALK TO ME & LEAVE ME ALONE. I have anxiety and this kind of behavior is inherently overwhelming. They act like they're sure they'll catch someone stealing and their behaviors are very obvious. The worst account of this occurring at this location happened probably a year ago and I'll never forget it. I now only go in there when I have another person with me. I wouldn't go in there at all if there was another location closer. read more

Levi's 501, faded and fit well: that's my big score from a trip to Marshalls. With the jeans over one shoulder, I still had hands to pick up things for the house: stainless steel cups, measuring spoons, pyrex pitcher, wine glasses, and bar towels. This was almost as good as celebrating a birthday or having a vacation. Marshall's just opened a new store at Deer Creek Plaza in Maplewood. They've redone the entire strip mall with more shops to open. At this point, the store is clean and nice. They have men's, women's, children, plus size clothes, as well as, purses, toiletries, gifts, gadgets, and housewares. My favorite is the housewares dept. read more

I have been shopping here a lot lately....at least once a week.....They typically have some nice selection. They would have gotten a four star but today when I was there it was like they all just came out of a meeting and got ordered to get in the shoppers face more with did you find everything today, can I help you, yadda yadda. I like peace when I am shopping and like to be left alone......I am browsing and do not need to be approached by several people while trying to enjoy my day off. Unless you are genuine and want to just chat. I was going to buy three items but I got approached one too many times by no less than 5 sales people during my trip down the aisle. So I only purchased the one thing that I would be hard pressed to find again somewhere else. Yes I will still shop there but I think I will wear ear muffs next time perhaps they will take the hint.... read more

It's kind of feast or famine with Marshall's. Some days you're lucky and find some real gems. Some days you don't find anything. You either leave feeling fantastic or bummed out, but that's kind of part of the fun. Honestly, I lack the determination to go through all of the clothes racks to find something I like, so I don't come here for the clothes. I do come here for purses, luggage, home decorations, pillows, bedding, candles, serving dishes and kitchen gear, which is always at least half price off or more. This store is relatively new, so it's pretty nice inside. I also like that it's in a big shopping area so you can hit several places at once without really having to get into your car. read more

So, I go to this place to look at their food, oddly enough. There's one small isle in the very back that is dedicated to gourmet foods - organic coconut sugar, fancy jellies and gourmet chocolate. I went to marshalls with a friend for the first about a year ago and it was heaven. I got a bunch of shirts for ten dollars because I guess we got lucky and came when there was a sale or after further price cuts because the tags had multiple stickers on top of each other suggesting the price had been cut a few times. Anyways, I have been dying to go to marshalls again. I finally went to this location because it is way closer to where I live and it was a pretty good experience. I was primarily looking to see if they had cute clothes in for my plus size body. I walked in a saw lot's of perfumes that I was interested in and tons of purses were cute and affordable like some from nine west, s madden, bebe, and j couture. Unfortunely I wasn't willing to splurge because I was thinking I would spend a bit on clothes like my first visit to marshall's. I saw in the beauty section a 450 degree flat iron and blow dryer for very cheap prices. I was shocked and wasn't expecting to buy those things but I did and that's basically what made this a great trip because I needed those two things badly. I went to women's section section and there really wasn't much for anyone over a size 14/16. I am a size 20 and I saw maybe 7 shirts and 10 pants behind those size 20 tags and not all of those clothes were actually a size 20 (some people don't like to put things back where they belong, I guess they think it's not their job *rolls eyes*). I wasn't too bummed out about the lack of clothes because I was still on that shoppers "high" after finding a great deal on my hair dryer and iron. I really on saw one shirt that was interesting to me ( I am a little younger and the rest of the shirts look my suitable for an office worker). The shirt was ok but I felt like I didn't really need it so I put it back. Also all of the pants were black and some were just yoga wear. They had lot's of interesting home stuff and nice size men's and childrens section. They had yoga mats, some weights, and cool water bottles. I know this might be a little weird but I loved the women's bathroom. It wasn't too small and it was clean. That's always a plus in my book because a dirty bathroom will make me not want to shop at a place of business. The trip wasn't a total waste because I got two things I needed and it was a pretty pleasant experience.The women who checked me out was very friendly. Looking back at it now though, this marshall's didn't seem to be as big as the first marshall's I went to and the other marshalls had more plus sizes clothing. read more

I generally like to just pop in to find interesting items, especially shoes for a great price. What happened to the shoe department? The variety of selection has shrunk. Clothing choices seem robust. The store is generally neat and clean. Lately Ive had a more difficult time snagging a good deal. Like another reviewer, I don't have the patience to rifle through the racks of clothing which for the most part typically suit a 90-lb very, very thin female more than older and even professional women. To much emphasis on "trendy" styles. Hoping to be able snag some great buys in the future. read more
