This is one of my favorite Marshalls cause I always seems to find something. They have a good selection compared to other locations and the store is spacious and fairly neat. The service is friendly and lines aren't too bad but this month they are cause of the holidays. The parking right in front of the stores is kind of tight but I just go to the back since the spaces are larger. read more

The store itself is fine. The lady JoAnn working at the dressing room is just plain unpleasant. She was argumentative about some handicap bathroom sign. Just short of calling me an idiot when she said it was a handicap dressing room. Not my fault all the other times you that sign, it is a handicap bathroom and not a dressing room. She treats you like you are a criminal when you walk in like everyone is there to steal clothes. She is just a very abrasive person. Don't want to deal w her again. She should go thru some more training to be more courteous and friendly to the customers. read more

Unfortunately I can't remember exactly what she said but it stood out and all I remember was thanking her when I walked in and have a great day when I was exiting the store. "Undercover Store Security Personnel" is so lame and easy to spot. I'm the only one going through shirts aisle - no one within 20 feet of me - and out of nowhere this girl comes over and stands right next to me "pretending" to look through the same shirts. I just stand still and don't make a move until this person gives up and just simply walks away. Stop bothering real patrons who just want the luxury of shopping in peace. read more

Before you go getting all judge-y on me and thinking I'm some sort of not cool Marshalls shopper, I'd like to point out the fact that of ALL the things I have been accused of being- and trust, that's no short list- not cool has never once been one of those things. To the contrary, I have been called cool and fashionable enough times to obviously have attitude about the fact that I am cool and fashionable. So, yeah, on to Marshalls. Everyone knows it's a step up from Ross, but that's kind of like being a step up from poop, which isn't any sort of compliment. I liked the four story one in SF, but beyond that, it's usually kind of generic and not amazing. Plus, I had a little Marshalls trauma as a child because of my snotty private school, specifically caused by one day in the sixth grade when a teacher pointed out I still had a price tag on my very cool Camp Beverly Hills t-shirt, and came over and cut it off for me. All the girls in class saw that and snickered that my shirt had come from a discount store, making it glaringly evident that I was on the poorer section of the richness spectrum which one had to be, in retrospect, at least a good part of the way up to send their kid to an expensive private school. Oops, we're back on me again. Anyhow, child trauma aside, this Marshalls is freaking amazing. Shoes like you can't imagine, an entire rack of Free People, and unbelievably unique and adorable items at fabulous prices. The amount of self-control I exercised was commendable, though, then again, so was the size of the bag I left with. But that's only because you actually get to keep the boxes your shoes came in at this location. And I really needed new sandals, lest anyone think I wasn't cool. read more

I love Marshall's bargains which I find every time I stop by. I've found: Seven jeans, Paper denim and Cloth, Dooney and Burke purses, cute dresses, my beloved luggage, adorable shoes, bath and kitchen stuff, picture frames, bedding, a New York New York rain jacket, and so much more. They always have sales and the people who work here are super friendly. Sometimes, I feel bad for the workers because people don't clean up after themselves. Please be thoughtful guys, we're grown ups. If you don't go to Marshall's you're so missing out and it's in the cute town of Montrose. read more

Only if I could give a zero, it would have been more appropriate. Yesterday I bought a pack of three reading glasses. I brought them home and opened it and put one on for 45 minutes of reading and I ended up with a red scar on my nose bridge. Today, I took the package back and picked up a plastic one and went to the counter with my receipt and they refused to take it back because it was used.!!! How else, I would know it will scar my nose if I didn't use it. I showed her the scar and yet the girl Erika refused to take it back. In any decent place when you see your junk product causes harm, you take it back and apologize. Not at this store. I will never shop there again. I will file a complaint with the store. Wonderful customer service. Upon entering I noticed how clean and organized the store was. I was looking for a specific item when an employee ask me and another lady if we needed help. He directed me to where the item that I was looking for should be. Then after five minutes found me and asked if I found it. When I said no, he took initiative and went and looked for it himself and brought me to what I was looking for. Sooo coming back here. Say what you will but I like to shop at Marshalls; they almost always have what I'm looking for -CHEAPER! This particular Marshalls happens to be super close to my favorite Starbucks (where I shamefully spend most of my free time and paychecks lol) so I like to swing by here a few mornings a week to see if I can find more household goodies and clothes I don't need. Although this Marshalls doesn't have the widest selection out there, the selection is good enough for me to be able to come 2-3 times a week and miraculously walk out with stuff each time haha. Another thing I love is how much parking there is! There really isn't anything I don't like about this location honestly. read more

It's really not that good of an idea for this place to exist right down the street from my house, but unfortunately for my bank account, or my credit card statement for that matter, it does. You can really find some stellar deals at this location. I just bout a pair of Hudson Jeans for $69 and a pair of True Religion's for only 99. I was surprised that they even had these name brands here, let alone for so cheap! We are talking $250 jeans ladies! Half my shoe collection is built from this store, not to mention I just bought two leather coach bags there for like a third of the regular price. I have picked up funky furniture, books, gifts for all occasions, bras, accessories, perfume, just about everything from here. My most recent new toy is my rolly gym bag with wheels. Dorky yes....shoulder problems no more though. But really, the reason I gotta give this place props is because they little old man manager is really awesome. Stores like this don't usually pride themselves so much on customer service, but the other day I was really impressed. I had gone in there not too far from closing time, and bought a few bags of crap, and when I got home, I realized that they hadn't included two new workout outfits I had bought. I called to see if maybe there was a bag leftover, but there wasn't sadly and they told me to come in and talk to the manager. I came back with only my receipt, and the manager took my word for it, and let me go get the items off the rack! Of course, I was being honest, but it was just really nice that they trusted me on it so I had to give a little shout out. I had to return something for size a few days later, and again the same manager was there and it was easy as pie. Ok, so I guess pie isn't really "easy" but idk...sounded right. a decent stop for when you are sniping for bargains when you don't need them. a better alternative to tj maxx or ross when venturing for men's clothing or accessories. inventory is hit or miss, casual wear, especially clearance, rotates quickly. ok for wallets and belts and socks, fair shot at finding dress shirts though men's suit selection has diminished. sorry zz top, not much in the way of cheap sunglasses. fairly steady stock of household and kitchen items and random pieces of home furnishing items and some luggage in the corner with the men's stuff. they're kind of selling too much of the crappy little meaningless gift items like ipad stands or light-up car visor mirrors, but whatever, bring back the cheap earbuds. burger king is across the street, yay. read more

Great finds here. I come weekly to see what they have. Often I'll leave with nothing, but other times I'll leave with tons of stuff. Great pick up on brand new dodger gear this week. Really organized and easy to find what I'm looking for. A Gon and Hanley player tshirts together for less than one? I'm ready for opening day. I love Marshall's! Sometimes I get annoyed by the employees speaking to each other in a foreign language (it makes me uncomfortable and leads me to think It might be about me. Arrogant? Maybe). While I was shopping for men's shirts as gifts for family members, someone starts calling out "Ma'am, ma'am!" in the store. Having no reason to believe someone is speaking to me, I continued looking at shirts. Again, a male voice calls out "Ma'am!" I finally looked to see what was going on. A store employee was looking at me from several aisles away, and asked if he could help me. Are you kidding?! I was rather confused why he would be asking if he could help me from this distance while I was trying to pick out shirts. I politely declined. He then offered to "help" if I needed anything. I could not help but notice that other customers were not being offered help. I also noticed I was the only Black customer there. I've been singled out and offered "help" here before in this store. I do not appreciate the phony guise of helping the customer when in fact you are racial profiling. read more

Why were you RUDE to me? Because I called you after your business hour? One of the employees who worked on 6/21/16 at night didn't put one of my purchased items in the plastic bag, so I called in after their business hours to ask if I can go back to pick it up. The employee who made this small mistake was a female employee and I understand that everyone can make a mistake. Luckily, the male employee answered the phone and said that they are not able to open the door for customers after they close for a security purpose, which I truly understand. The reason why I made a phone call around 10pm when they already closed was because I purchased the item for my friend's housewarming tomorrow. I literally begged him as polite as possible. HOWEVER, the male employee apolozied and ended up apolozing again in a rude way, which he is not supposed do to one of their devoted customers. I hung up while he was talking because he started being more rude by getting his voice louder. This was my frist time hanging up one somebody while talking. I've been their customer almost for 12 years. I don't really write and post a review right after a visit, but I'm so disappointed about how bad I was treated over the phone tonight. By the way, this is my first one star review on Yelp. This proves how bad my experience tonight was. read more

I just came back from Marshall's in Montrose after an unsuccessful shopping trip at Nordstrom Rack and TJ Maxx in Glendale. I was pleasantly surprised with their selection of shoes! Please keep in mind I don't just buy things because they are discounted. I'm a smart, trendy, and selective shopper. I didn't have any luck with clothing this time, but I walked out with a new comforter, housewares, and Dolce Vita ankle booties. I would have purchased more Dolce Vita shoes if they had my size! I wasn't looking for anything in particular today, but I'm very pleased with my purchases. I will definitely be back here in a couple of weeks while I give my wallet a rest! read more

Nice store, well organized, and kept much neater than the nearby Ross [where the third world hordes tear through things and leave a huge mess.] Sometimes I find things here, sometimes I don't.
