It was a big marshalls store. I really enjoyed the home goods section. It had lots of options and variety. I almost lost my focus trying to pick out what I want. And also, the men section was huge too but I didn't really see variety. It was just huge. read more

Horrible. Store had the size 10 Cole Haan shoe in clearance for $69. The price for my size 12 shoe was $99. I saw the clerk bring the clearance shoe to the register after I mentioned it and removed the tag for the clearance shoe. Not to mention I grabbed the Cole Haan shoe while looking under the display on another Cole Haan shoe which was priced at $59. Very disorganized. read more

My experience here was far different. I ordered a coat from Amazon, which arrived three days before Christmas with a security tag attached to it!!! Frustrated, I turned to YouTube, which suggested that I find a magnet and try to detach it, but I was concerned that the ink might explode leaving me with a damaged coat. Marshalls came to my rescue. I called Marshalls and spoke with Sen, and told her my dilemma. She was immediately understanding, and told me to come right over with proof of purchase. When I arrived, I was truly surprised that the Marshalls was well stocked and far neater than my most recent experience. If you had asked me before, I would have agreed with many of the comments below. Previously, I have a left here frustrated because the lines were too long and the choices seemed bleak. I believe Marshall's listened to these comments because I certainly had a much better experience when I went shopping this time. Not only was Sen able to remove the tag, but I found four quality Christmas presents that I needed at the store. It was well stocked, and even though it was hours before Christmas it was still pretty neat. I was impressed. The line moved quickly. This location is your typical marshals the lanes are cluttered and the store is in desperate need of organizing. I came here primarily just to look around and see if I could find anything for decorations. However every time I ask a staff member something they would politely tell me that I would have to look around the store to find what I was looking for. They stated they do not know exactly where specific items are located in the store. This just tells me they throw things out and hope for the best. I have found a few good things but unfortunately it takes a little too long to find those things in the store. read more

It's sad because it's just seems like there aren't enough people working at this place. The lines are long (I think they want you to buy merchandise) and the clothes, bags, shoes are just all over the place. It's hard to find what you want and I feel like this store is best first thing in the morning or during the week. Under Armour for at least 50% off. You have to really dig through the stuff to find something that will fit you, but it's a Marshalls, not a Nordstroms. I'm not expecting fantastic well ordered racks. For you bargain hunters looking for name brand stuff for a fraction of the price (aka me), this place is for you. The parking lot was over crowded and I thought this was strange for 6pm on a Sunday. There are a mess of abandoned carts in front of and continuing in the building. The whole place was a mess. The signs were useless to detail what was actually under them. I was there looking for men gloves. I found three. None of the three were a pair nor were their pairs in site. I did find baseball gloves but that is not helpful. No one admitted to working there. Men wondered aimlessly, presumably waiting for a spouse to reclaim them. I did happen upon some items I could have lived with but they were department stores prices (no discount if you ask me and you're reading this so you did) but the line was wrapped around some mess of candy end caps that I refused to try to follow. So I left without purchase and do not see myself returning in the future if I can help it. read more

Finally a decent discount store on Rockville Pike! I consider this to be a nice area, so I've been looking at the other discount stores in the area side ways due to their lack. This store had a really nice selection of wear to work wear, sizes and at decent prices. I'm accustomed to having to dig through racks at these types of stores, but this location wasn't bad at all in terms of order. I can see me coming to this location again. read more

The worst Marshalls ever. I drove to DC just to avoid this store. Incident #1: Bought a cheap trouser and found later that the fabric has defects. Brought back the trouser with all the labels and receipts. IF you do this, the oriental looking lady store manager will give you a disdainful, racist look and will repeat "we do not do returns for worn items" to you no matter how reasonably you explain the defects. Incident #2: Tried put three items on in the changing room and returned them to the attending staff without folding them. I do this because the staff members usually refold them anyway. Sorry I am a guy, I can't do them properly to be a display quality. IF you don't fold the items, they will look you in the eyes and clearly warn, "Please fold the clothes next time." When they did this, I was sorta stunned, mentioned the incident at the counter. IF you do this, the same oriental looking lady store manager will show up again and will give you a disdainful, racist look and will say that is always expected in any store. I know I am a cheap customer. But Marshalls stores are supposed be for customers like me. Dang, If you are in this store, they will treat you as if you are in a prison camp. Your cheap money is not important to them because the corporate pays them well anyway while giving up managing this single damn store for years. Well, I can drive to other Marshalls. I continue to be a cheap customer beloved by other Marshall stores. read more

I like this Marshall's. You have to be willing to go through the racks. I always find a designer something for a great price.

If you go in knowing you are not going to get world class service then you should like it. The prices are what is great about Marshalls. I mean, I just got a REAL Polo shirt for 19.99!!! I buy all my sports wear here as well. It can be hit or miss in terms of service but I always go in there knowing not to expect the best. I go a lot cuz they always have new things and they sometimes don't last long. read more

Customer service is definitely not a priority here. Do not be shocked if the cashier will decide to yell at you if you didn't see fast enough that he is available. If there's no tag on an item they will just come up with an absurd price, don't dare to ask why, they tend to get mad at customers because apparently we are not important. I love Marshalls and have been coming here countless times over many years. Sounds like I am some sort of shopoholic and maybe I am)) However sometimes it's not how much you've spent but how much you save by not going to Montgomery Mall that's only 20 min away. This year I did all of my holiday shopping at Marshalls: got my boys MK hats for the winter, my hubby got a nice sweater etc. The only downside is the store's public restroom that's never clean hence four stars. read more

Very BAD service at this location in Rockville! They refused to return an item just because I didn't have the receipt! I asked to speak to a supervisor or a manager. The manager said I didn't see you here before and we can't take the item back and we can't issue you store credit even after I provided them with the same credit card used for the purchase and my driver's license!! read more

When an item doesn't have a price tag, instead of checking the price the cashier will charge you an arbitrary price. They just plain refuse to do the little legwork required to find out the accurate price. Just WOW. This has happened to me more than once! Avoid the restrooms (both for men and women) at all cost! I'm not gonna get into details but take my word for it, unless you want the horrid image and stench to be forever embedded in your mind. This is a nice Marshalls. I went in looking for jewelry, and they don't carry any (at least right now), but the store is clean, well-organized, and has a good selection of a lot of things. They have a great selection of really nice cookware, including Le Creuset and Cuisinart stuff. They also have a lot of nice picture frames and a huge section of gourmet packaged foods, like chocolates and spices - great for gifting. Their selection of women's shoes and purses is also really good! Some discount stores can be really junky, disorganized, and dirty, but this one is nice. read more

This store here in rockville is just great!!! Very friendly staff (Mark and Cookie) in shoes are just awesome! Everytime I go in there Mark is always there and helps me on everything in the store, and I mean everything,dude does a dam good job!! Give him a raise and don't let him go. This Marshalls location is well stocked with wonderful household items that are actually organized neatly on the shelves. I was pleasantly surprised to see all the wonderful discounted items they had for the home. If you go to the very last aisle on the right to the very back of the store, it contains all the clearance household items. I picked up four amazing candles on clearance. The lines here were not that bad for a Saturday either. read more

Id prefer this store over Ross any day. Cleaner than Ross, it has better quality items and clothing compared to Ross (on most things) and is a little cheaper than them too. I found 3 sets of comfy pants at the price I wanted here and couldn't find them anywhere in Ross. read more

I am very disappointed from employees to management, I visit Marshall very often and last week on January 11 2017 I bought a 179$ jkt and there was a sale sign with all this jkts and the Spanish sales lady very sarcastic told me is not the price is wrong and right there she removed the sale said which said 129.99 to all the jkts hanging there I asked her if they don't honor the sale sign and she asnwer no sweatheart you already have enough with the price own it to me that was very rude the way she spoke to me and I brought it to the attention of the lady manager and she never even aproch me and was the cashier that walk with the jacket to the back to check the price and came back with the same story and the manager not even once talk to me and she was standing there that was very unprofessional from all this ladies and they said they don't honor sales sign even if they see them and take them down all this happened at the Marshall on Rockville pike Md read more

This is one of the better of these discount type stores. Yes, it is messy, but it has great selection.

Just came out of the store and am very frustrated with the way the manager named Joann treated me. I found a bag without a price tag attached. I came up to two associates asking them to find the pricing. They looked for 10 minutes.. Brought me another bag (I guess a similar one in their system ) and said to bring it to the front desk and that the cost is $34.99. I was ready to pay at the cash register. Cashier called am anger to double check and the manager said she doesn't believe me that this is the price that was quoted ... She brought in the associate who confirmed her quote to me was in fact $34.99. At this time Joan, the manager, turns to me and says :"Well, the price is way higher, the associate is new and didn't know, so we won't sell for that price ".... I asked what is the correct price.... Now the manager goes off for about 15 minutes and comes up with price without any proof that this is the true price of $129.99.. I told her that once they quote the price and I am ready to buy I shouldn't care if the associate is new and didn't know what she was doing... The manager said that they refuse to sell the bag for $34.99... So , I left the store without buying as I was not going to spend $129.... Is there a new retail era? This Marshall's has the worst customer service of any store I have ever shopped at. The management sucks as well. They don't seem to care about who is shopping. They did not have the best service here. I was trying to buy a Lady Gaga Fame cologne and it was $12. I thought it'd have a big cologne and shower gel. And as soon as I opened it, the cologne was not there and we were not happy about that. We returned it and they said the cologne is not there. That's how it's suppose to be. They never told us it was suppose to be only the shower gel. They should've just told us it before we bought it. I'm not buying cologne from here. read more

It used to be tolerable, but now it is just plain awful. Everything is torn apart and strewn around. Most of the package is damaged. I tried to find some men's underwear, and two thirds of the packs were open, with things stolen. Dirty bathrooms. Somtimes you can find nice decent clothes for a good price. Especially on shoes during the summer. Sometimes they have cute clothes for kids. However, they are very limited. So many people shop here that if you don't get the item when you see it that it will be gone by the time you go there again, especially during the weekend. What I dislike about the place is the freaking line. The cashiers are so slow. All the employees looks so tired and work very slow. OMG, I tried to put something on lay-away because I wasn't sure it I really like these $100 shoes that I saw and I was purchasing something else and I didn't want to come back and be gone the next day since it was the last pair. The lay-away is ridiculously SLOW. They can never stay at their register. When I went back I had to get someone to page for the person at lay-away for the shoes and they took for ever to find. So if you go shop there make sure you have plenty of time to shop and wait in their long slow lines. read more
