Came in yesterday to get a few items and all 3 employees would rather chat amongst themselves then help out us customers - there was one girl with short hair not part of the 3 that actually came over and let us know there was a changing room as my husband wanted to be sure a item fit before purchasing ! Brought my mom in to return a pair of shoes and look for a style she liked better. The cashier held onto them at the front for us so that we could do the exchange in one transaction when we were ready. A number of employees were checking in to make sure we had any help we needed grabbing shoes from the back etc. I remember a few of these employees from past visits to the store and they've always been extremely friendly and helpful so I'm a bit surprised by all the negative reviews around service in the store. Kind of a side note about the brand in general as opposed to the location but I'm glad Vans is offering adult shoes with Velcro straps instead of laces because it's huge for accessibility. The biggest thing that made this a great experience was the help we got from one employee, who I believe was named Taryn. My mom has Alzheimer's and sometimes conversation topics can get stuck on a loop for her. Taryn was so sweet and was talking with my mom the whole time, and didn't bat an eye when my mom repeated her stories a few times or the conversation took confusing turns. That's the best experience my mom has had shopping in a long time because all the choices can get overwhelming. I really think that the positive experience also made her feel better about trying on the Velcro shoes, as she isn't able to tie her shoes anymore. Overpriced and lacking the size I needed in many a style. This small Van's store seems to cater to upscale mall shoppers but lacks the deals or selection of their online store. I say go there first, here second. I noticed two different shoes that I wanted to try on during my visit. After waiting a while for the clerk to finish chatting with a lady nearby, I asked for my size (13). They were out in both shoes. 1/14/22 at around 8:30 pm I visit the store looking to buy two pairs of vans. Leather slip on and all black slip on checkers. I asked for a try on sock and I was told they didn't have any. So I bought some socks just to be able to try on the shoes before buying them. While buying them I even mention I was buying them to be able to try on the shoes. A guy asked for a try on sock next to me and he was giving one right away. I'm not sure if it was a race or gender thing but at no time I was rude to them for them to denied me one and not the guy. read more

I don't have an affection for Vans; sometimes they have a few cute pairs that catch my eye, but not often. I just wanted to post a review on my recent purchase. I was buying shoes for THE MAN, and I had no idea what sizing is like for Vans. I know that Chucks run big, so you need to size down by one, and I haven't bought skate shoes in a while, so I wanted to know if that was the same case with Vans. I went in after night class, so the mall traffic was pretty slow. But there were about 3 different customers being waited on. I was acknowledged and asked if I needed a size by an attentive sales girl, who I later knew as Christina. After I told her my dilemma about the sizing, she suggested to bring out two different sizes to compare, and then she asked the guy next to me how the shoes he was trying on, worked out. A few minutes later, she comes out from the back room with 3 boxes. They didn't have the 8 in the style I was looking for, but they did have a 7.5 (the half way size of THE MAN), and she brought out an 8 and a 7.5 in a similar style, so I could check out the difference. After finally deciding on the 7.5 in the style I came for, I roamed around the apparel. She checked up on me once again, before she ran off to the back room to put back the shoes that the other people, and myself, did not choose. She's standing there with about 6 boxes of shoes in her arms, chatting with me about the size differences with Chucks and Vans for at least 5 minutes. ;o) She made me feel better about the blind purchase, and reassured me that I can return them to any Vans store with the receipt, or a gift receipt could be printed, also. The cashier was a different story. She was alright, but nothing to call home about. I think she just wanted to close already. LoL. Cheers to Christina. So I made an order online to which they said was in store and ready for pickup. After a short while I got an email saying my order was canceled as one size was out of stock but the 2nd shoe was available. So I picked up one shoe but failed to get refund for 2nd pair. After ordering another the lady made me double pay saying my card wouldn't be charged which it was and now I have 3 pending charges on my card for same shoe. Worst experience and the girl claiming to be manager knew nothing of how to handle to refund. read more

This is my local Vans store and I have to say, as busy as this place is, I've never had a bad experience at this place. As a matter of fact, I purchased some shoes online because the Westfield Galleria location didn't have them in stock, and when I received them I noticed they had not come with laces. I first visited the store at the Folsom Outlets, come to find that when I finally had the opportunity to lace up my new pair of shoes, the laces were too small. A few days later, I still wasn't able to wear my new shoes, I decided to bring them to the Roseville Galleria location and that's where they were very understanding and accommodating and provided me with the correct size laces, without question. This is a great store and recommend it to anyone looking for a good selection and great customer service. read more

I keep coming back to this store in hopes that my experience will change, but it never does. I have been to this store plenty of times to look for shoes for my son and each time i feel like i'm putting out the sales clerk when I ask to have his foot measured. I'm sorry but if i'm going to drop forty dollars on a pair of shoes, I want to make sure they fit. Their selection is always great, but they never have his size. Trying to get through this store with a stroller is impossible and once I get the shoes for him to try on, the sales clerk always disappears. I love Vans shoes. I have been wearing them for over twenty years now and by far, they are my favorite footwear. I have been shopping at this store for quite a few years and I have noticed that the selection has kind of declined. Maybe it's just me but I'm just not that into bright red, skinny canvas shoes. The staff, is pretty typical of mall employees. You kind of get that vibe that they really, really wish that you would leave them alone so they can continue texting or talking about Fall Out Boy.
