I've come to this Marshall's a couple times and found them to carry some pretty good selection in terms of overstock brand names and availability. For example, the purse and handbag section is typically more organized than my nearest TJ Maxx (in the same family of companies, if you didn't know). I like to head to the home section in the back for the books, kits, and candles; this last time, I found two hardcover copies of an author whose novels I enjoy in the clearance section for only $12 apiece. I haven't been approached or helped by any associates during my visits - which is fine - but nothing outstanding to report, either. The most recent time, we (my small rescue dog and I) got barked at twice (first by a reactive chihuahua and second by a reactive dachshund) and was surprised that neither the owners nor staff said anything. Not that this ruined my experience, but you'd expect fellow dog people to have more common courtesy. read more

We have been going to Marshal's for a long time. We come here to shop for many items. Normally they have everything we are looking for. Well not this time. We were disappointed that the items we were looking for were not available. They still have low cost items, but just didn't have what we were looking for. read more

The associate at the dressing room was incredibly rude. I brought an item to try on and informed her I had just one. She glared at me in a disapproving way. Then grabbed at my personal items asking to know what was in my bag (I was holding my clutch and A bag containing a purchase from another retailer in the strip mall) as if ahe was accusing me of theft. I informed her it was another purchase drom a different store. The item i was going to try on had a large hole that I didnt notice until I had already removed my clothing to to on the dress. I immediately put my clothes back on and toom it back out. I I formed her that it was already damaged as I hung the dress and left. Ive never been so poorly treated at a retailer and will not be shopping here again. Please train your employees how to treat customers, especially not to speak to them in a derogatory tone. read more

Pros: - The location is clean as are the aisles. - Amazing selection of women's apparel, footwear, and cosmetics - Solid selection of consumables; olive oils, gourmet jarred veggies, tea, cookies, candy, etc. - Don't overlook the mugs & stationary which are a great spot for gifts. So many great gift wrap patterns! Cons: - Minimal youth apparel options - Minimal youth footwear Staff is always helpful & the flow is quick regardless if it's a few people or a dozen. This Marshall's has friendly employees who provide great customer service. This holiday season they have so many tables with gifts and stocking stuffers - beauty products, self care, novelty electronics, games and lots of socks or men's boxers with savvy packaging. The houseware department seems more varied. Looks like wax candles that resemble real food - desserts and hot cocoa for example - are in style. I saw a lot of 500 pieces or more puzzles and journals as well. The women's clothes are nice and stylish but not overly trendy, priced fair to more than what you'd pay for sale items at JC Penney or Kohl's. That said, jeans prices are great here. Still not many Chanukah items. Very surprised to see a Valentine's section the day after Thanksgiving! C'mon now. Please put the brakes on commercialism. read more

Shopping for a holiday themed top and I ended up finding so many cute dresses for a toddler: holiday themed dresses plus cold weather clothing. Many extra markdowns on the outfits, price range from $6 for a top and skirt or legging plus shirt to $25 for a knot dress plus beret and tights. Many sweaters including those meant to be overly gaudy or funny ones. Kudos to Heidi (her name tag seems to be spelled differently maybe Heidey?) for offering help to take out the very large packages to the car. She called on Jessie to carry out the bags - the carts do not go past the store entrance - a loss or theft deterrent am sure. I've been more appreciative of customer service than anything else, especially when the holiday shopping experience is often fraught with frustrating encounters. Clean and mostly organized displays, with many better quality brands. Always have a bag check to make sure those metal pin magnetic sensors are all removed! read more

Found some great stuff on this latest trip to Marshall's. Unlike the last couple of visits to Marshalls, when I had to limit my purchases to what we could bring back via checked bags, this time we were close to home to eliminate that space restriction. They had quite a bit of men's clothing in the clearance rack, and did end up buying a shirt and pants (both of them easy to hand wash for upcoming cruises). But the biggest finds were discovered with the yellow tags: at the miscellaneous section where a couple of murder mystery games that we hadn't played before were $2 each, and a set of good quality 4 'Miller Lite' pint glasses for $2. I also wanted to get a USC embossed bar kit, but was (nicely) overruled. read more

Normally I have a peaceful shopping experience no problems at all what so ever. But today was not one of those days. I asked an employee a question about a blanket and instead of answering politely she made a face and said oh it's on hold with an attitude. Which is fine but I don't appreciate the attitude or the slick remarks she made after. Not to mention the staff is busy gossiping about what stuff they have on hold in the back and that they didn't put certain stuff on the floor for that same reason. To me that is unprofessional and should gossip about that on their own time. Hopefully they do better in the customer service department. read more

I bought a pj set and when I tried to return it due to not fitting I was told no due to it not being the correct shorts to the shirt . I explained this is how I bought it and wasn't told otherwise. They refused to do my return and telling me to go to another location. I'm not about to be driving around when any Marshall's can do the return. I called corporate and they refunded my money and let me keep the item. I also find it interesting they don't check what they are selling but want to double check when doing a return. I'd give them five stars but the lady who rung me up a few weeks ago for got put the bar of soap I wanted in my bag and I had to drive back today to get it. Also the first time I called the lady I talked to asked me to bring back all the items I bought ( don't ask me why) to get my bar of soap which cost $3.99. Today I drove down. Called the store because I didn't want to go in and get a hard time and the manager told me just to bring in the receipt. So when I walked in a second later I found the same manager and she was super nice walked me over to the soaps and showed me the ones that were like what I got. I picked the closest one. Super fast any easy. To today was a fives star day but I a still taking one star away for the lady forgetting the soap in the first place. So I'd suggest double checking your bags when before you leave. read more

I shopped the other day and found 2 pairs of Gaiam yoga socks for $6.99. When I went today, I could only find a single pair with no tag. I took another pair that was same brand but slightly different, a pack of 2 for $6.99. The lady who is in charge of making price tags, told me they came with a pair of pants. I asked if she thought I was lying, she said "you're telling me the same thing." I said no, "I am saying you're wrong." She can't find them in the system, she should take my word and I went through the trouble of getting a good example. I wouldn't be writing, but every time there is a question about price, they take 15, 20 minutes to find a price and I've been given a hard time before. They either need a better system, or a more compromising attitude toward customers. read more

The store is definitely full of sweaters. The organization of the store is horrible. Sizes are all mixed together on the racks which makes it difficult to find anything. However, you wanna look like you live in leisure world this is the place to go. read more

Finally open and luckily for me there was no line outside but after being inside for five minutes there was a line outside. The checkout line is super long so be prepared to wait. Overall everything was organized and clean I miss marshalls so glad they are finally open. We will be back soon. read more

It's going downhill at this location. It's starting to look like a thrift store. Just last week in the afternoon, a lady took her tiny mutt with her without a leash following her around while her hands were full of items. Guess what the dog did? Pooped diarrhea by one of the aisles. I had to call the owner's attention. The dog pooped in 2 places 3 feet apart. She had nothing to pick up the poop with. Irresponsible! How could Marshall's let people in with pets like that?! read more

Came here on the weekend around 11 AM. The store was not too crowded and there was plenty of parking available. They had lots of holiday decor items. They only had a few clearance racks in the women's clothing section, and the prices were on the high end for clearance. The woman at the cash register was very nice and friendly. I only purchased one thing, but I'd return to this store. read more

I was denied when trying to return an item that I had purchased at a different location earlier in the day. I had found a similar item at Homegoods, and didn't need the one purchased from Marshall's anymore. I was told that it's in their store policy that they aren't able to accept returns from purchases that are made the same day. Seriously, WTF? I've never heard of such a dumbass "policy" from any store before. I looked at their return policy on my receipt and NOWHERE does it state that, so I'm pretty certain the sales associate made that shit up. After I wait one day, as instructed, to make my fkn return, I will steer clear from these stores moving forward. There are better stores out there. So disappointed. read more

I have a ritual every week (well, when time allows). I would stop by Marshalls prior to my grocery shopping at Sprouts, which is right next door. The shoe department is pretty stocked. I was able to get some really nice Sam Edelman sandals for the summer for about 60% of what it would cost on Sam Edelman or even Amazon websites. The beauty and health department is fun too. So many products to chose from. I was able to get some really nice Eye Cream with Argan Oil from New Zealand. I love the CocoKind organic all purpose salve, which keeps my skin nice and hydrated in this California heat wave we have been getting. Don't even get me started with the home goods section. I can never buy enough things for the kitchen. My weakness is the baking pans. I live Nordicware and Cuisinart brands. And sometimes, you can find le creuset pieces. Be patient and persistent, Grasshopper, you will sure to find something useful for your wardrobe or kitchen! read more

One sales associate named Luda made this a 3-star review because of how she treated my wife. When my wife was only checking the lipsticks to ensure that they weren't damaged or chipped, she started banging items next to my wife and told her coworkers what my wife was doing. Instead of asking my wife if she needed help,she started to imply that my wife was doing something illegal. My wife started to question her actions and they went back and forth. I told Luda why didn't she approach my wife and offer assistance instead of suspecting her of wrong doing. Her answer was she isn't allowed to talk to customers. We just left her area and I spoke to the on duty manager about Luda's customer service skills and professionalism. The manager I believe her name is Taschaka, was so nice and understanding talked to Luda from a distant. We are regular shoppers here and never had a problem with any sales associates. read more

I love Marshall's. I always find the cutest clothing, best deals on hair products and shoes. If you like TJ Maxx and Ross, then you will like Marshall's. This Marshall's in particular has a great selection and variety of clothing. It was hard not to shop for myself when I was buying gifts the other day. I got the cutest tops and cute pants for $7.99. As of late they have even been selling my favorite hair care line for half the price it is at Target or any other retailer. Great buys at this Marshall's. I really like this location. read more

The one star goes solely to the unprofessional and rude staff member Marcella, we came to get a refund on a double charge they made on our purchase. Marcella walks up, doesn't acknowledge us, proceeds to reach her hand out as if to say "give me your receipt" doesn't apologize, doesn't say anything just mutters "you have the card?" We go through the motion of the refund and we tell her it was pretty rude of her to not acknowledge us or even say hi to which she replies "ok?" And hands back the receipt. Complete shock by how a COORDINATOR composes herself and treats customers. read more

The brand new Marshall's at the Seal Beach Rossmore Shopping Center finally opened on October 29th. I am digging this new Marshall's, especially since it is so new, clean and orderly right now. May it stay that way!! ...Although, I doubt it with the Christmas shoppers. Black Friday and Christmas will be it's orderly end. Clothes will lie on the floor, crowds will tractor through clothing racks, transfixed on deals.... it will be mass chaos.... AAaaahhh! Run to the hills! AAHHH! Just kidding!!! This Marshall's is terrific. I found some good name brand clothes and nice winter boots. I am planning a trip to Europe in the winter, and have been looking for a pair of good insulated boots and a jacket that can tolerate - 20 F climate. I found some great gear and jackets from: *Marmon *North Face *Columbia *Sobel *Born The men's and ladies' departments are nicely stocked with good name brands and well tailored clothing. Also, the shoe department offers an abundant selection of winter boots, heels and casual flats. Name brands like: Coach, Clarks, Merrill, and Born. I brought my husband to this Marshall's with the intent of helping him buy some work shirts. We were both impressed with the Bill Blass, Polo and CK dress shirts. I'll start by saying that the staff, at this particular Marshall's Store is kind, respectful and unlike every other Marshall's or their affiliates, they DO NOT make you feel like a criminal if you dare try to return an item!!! My negative critique is the change in layout of the departments and the decline in the quality of their stock. . I realize that they're told how to display, and that they have reduced stock due to CoVid & recent bad weather & that they have no control of what stock they do receive, but come on!! No more high end items? No designer clothing? Not so impressive Shoes?? and the Purses...lol! Really nothing impressive there anymore, to speak of! In regards to the placement of the departments, It absolutely makes no sense - Random items in the middle, office supplies near the shoes and also in the back, and we couldn't even find the actual women's department because it's hidden somewhere in the middle now ...or maybe the back? Hopefully this is only a temporary change, as we're used to seeing much better at this particular Marshals!! If you're returning, then I highly recommend! I have to give special recognition to Nisha. I've encountered her on multiple visits to this loacation, and is the reason I frequent this particular Marshalls. Her assistance, conversation, recommendations, attitude, and professionalism are on a whole different level that to me seems like everybody else will compete for 2nd place. I am in a very high end sales industry and understand what assisting the customer with information and guidance as to what the right product would be for them is about. Nisha has this nailed!! She is certainly worthy of advancement at Marshalls and I hope that if Marshalls wants to retain amazing help, and retain a class act employee, that she'll be a candidate for advancement and all that goes with it. read more

Okay, it may not be five stars across the board for retail shopping, but for discount stores like this - this Marshall's location is tops! I'm not so much a shopper as I am a hunter. Browsing the aisles at Nordstrom and trying on outfit after outfit does nothing for me, but hunting for that absolute perfect find amidst the dress rack at Marshall's (and crossing your fingers that it's in your size) really revs my motor. It's the thrill of the chase. And treasures just seem to pop up all over this Marshalls location. Maybe it's because they keep it so spic and span, or maybe they somehow manage to get better stock here, but whatever they're doing I hope they keep on doing it, because it's top notch. I can never manage to leave without an armful of clothes, throw pillows, and towels. One tip: Always go here before going to Home Goods, across the way. They carry many of the same things, but usually a few bucks cheaper at Marshall's. read more

I visited Marshalls a couple of time but I cannot say that they are as good as the Home Goods, TPT or Pier One. I would rather shop any of those then Marshalls. Marshalls leans more to the clothing line and I don't really care for any of their stuff.
