YAY...FTR! :) because i'm a rockstar and signed up for their TJMaxx rewards card back in July, i got invited to the "private grand opening" today. (real grand opening is this thursday.) this marshalls took over the circuit city here at the shops at rossmoor. i think this is a great location for them because there really isn't another discount dept store nearby, so no competition. i'm sure it's because they were only open for 3 hours for select customers today but it was lovely. i was expecting aisles of merchandise all over the floor and misplaced but it wasn't. there was actually an employee about every 10 steps. everyone was courteous, which i'm guessing may also be because it was their first day. the shoe megashop, which was my main reason for going, was much smaller than i had hoped......but i'm sure my bank account is grateful. i'll be sure to update once they've settled in, to see if the service is still stellar, and if the aisles are still as organized as it was today. read more

I became intrigued after reading Hazel Q's review about this place (where did that review go, BTW?) Anyhoo, yes, this is by far the nicest Marshall's I've been to. Everything's on hangers, no piles of stuff on the floor, and the dressing rooms are quite nice. You still have to go through EVERYTHING to find the gold among the dross, but that's part of the fun of going to a place like this, right? I did find a pair of cute shoes and a couple of tops on this trip, and I will definitely be back for some more "shopportunities," haha. read more

Came here to return a pair of shoes and they said their system couldnt take it and I should try a different store. This has never happened before no matter what MarWent to another Marshalls and returned them with no issues, will not be returning to this Marshalls as they dont even know how to process a return, go to literally any other Marshalls in the area besides this one read more

There's a lot of damaged goods for sale here. Going through the sunglasses I found myself not looking for the cute ones but just trying to find a pair that wasn't broken! I understand that sometimes this happens and that's why some of the merchandise ends up at stores like this but it's still a bit much. I bought a pair of yoga pants and found out they had a small hole in them the first time I wore them. Very disappointed that I now need to fully examine even the clothes I purchase there. As for the employees, I've have mixed feelings. Some of the ones that have been around a while are very sweet and know what they're doing. But on several occasions I've had to nicely tell some of the employees what they were doing was wrong. Probably an issue with training new hires. One girl forced me to take store credit on a return from a purchase that was $15 gift card and $55 credit card. I was returning a $9 item. I tried to explain to her that my credit card was supposed to be refunded first but after 15min of arguing I gave up and took the store credit. That girl really needs better training, she barely understood how to process the return on the register and her customer service skills were definitely lacking. In the area the store is located I really would expect better service and better quality (non-damaged) items. I've found myself stopping by here less and less due to the lack of quality items and the issues I've had with some of the newer employees. read more

Had such a great experience here yesterday! Was paying for a pair of shoes, and saw TJX flash on the credit card display. I hadn't realized that Marshall's was affiliated with TJ Maxx, and asked if I could use a TJ gift card instead. Stephanie, the associate, said yes, but I immediately retracted the request, because I know that voiding payments is a pain. But she insisted on saving me the money, and took care of it. The manager (I think her name was Lupe?), was extremely nice when she came over to approve it, and even apologized for the trouble, even though it was completely my fault. (Also beforehand, a greeter offered price checks to anyone in line, and thanked us for shopping as we left). Overall, really impressed with the service and genuine kindness! read more

Have had horrible experiences with the two other Marshalls' in my area, but this place redeemed Marshall's for me. 1. Super friendly smiling employees and a fairly up kept store. Cleanest store I've been to, least percentage of ghettoness to it. The selection is not as large as some others, but I'll take an ethical store above one that won't take a return with a receipt and tag attached. 2. I had no problem returning a dress the HB store wouldn't take back, because "the tag didn't fit the item", despite it being the tag used to BUY the item. Also the manager was a biatch about it and made me feel like a deceptive person when all I was doing was a simple return! So I thought... Still skeptical about making purchases I don't want since twice I've encountered bogus situations with returns when I had every kind of proof imaginable for the purchase, but thank you SB Marshalls for saving me $40! read more

I'm all about the bargain, and I have no shame in my game when I'm looking for a deal. I'll sort through racks of junk to find that one great buy. If a store is a disaster of scattered merchandise, I don't care I'll keep shopping if there's a chance I'll find something at a great price. I thought I was in for my usual Marshall's experience when I was in Seal Beach the other day. This store however is not like the others. For starters, the place is clean and organized. There's no merchandise on the floor. Clothes are hanging neatly on hangers in the correct racks. All very nice! If you're familiar with shopping these kinds of stores perhaps you'll know that Marshall's is the discount hot spot for shoes. The quality of the shoes at this specific location is a step up from the other Marshall's I've been to. The shoe department is big and they have a great selection of brands you'd find in department stores like Jessica Simpson, Calvin Klein, sportier shoes like Reebok and Sketchers...but then there are super-brands like Badgley-Michka and Seven for All Mankind that you can't find just anywhere! Come prepared to spend money. read more

This Marshalls location is one of my favorites for many reasons. I came here on a Tuesday morning at 9:30 a.m. The store is absolutely organized and clean. Unlike other Marshalls, everything is placed in their proper locations, their clearance items are all new (other Marshalls have opened, used, broken items in their clearance sections). 99% of the time when I come to this location, I leave with a purchase. Today, I purchased 2 sets of pajamas (on clearance rack) and three sweaters for $97.00 with taxes. They have a huge selection of shoes, name brand hair products, workout clothes, dresses, jeans, sweaters . . . this location is one of the better ones in Southern CA. I had the worst experience today 7-7-17 at this Marshalls. It was 89 degrees outside and I went to shop about 12:30pm. It was a tad warm in the store, but by the time I made it all the way to the back of the store it was an inferno. I went to go try a few clothes on and I asked if there was any A/C in the store. She said it is always on very low. It was actually so hot in the dressing room that I had to come out, sit down and buy a soda. I asked at the Checkout Counter where the A/C was when it is so hot out. She was very pleasant and said the A/C is not working properly and she'd wish the company would fix it. If this store is aware that they do not have A/C in the middle of a heatwave in the Summer, they should put a notice on the door to let people know. I for one would never have went in as I have Lupus and Blood Disorders. The thought that I felt like fainting from the heat inside has made me decide I will never shop in that Marshall's again. Can someone please get the A/C fixed because I am going to let everyone I know not to shop there via Social Media if this is not resolved read more

I like Marshalls in Seal Beach because it is similar to what the TJ Maxx was but in my opinion it's better. The only thing that seems hard in places like these is that staff doesn't seem to be able to keep up with cleaning up aisles and shelves sometimes have mismatches so you can't find things you need a different size for. All in all I don't mind sifting through as the savings is incredible for the quality in clorhing. This store is absolutely not a overpriced Ross. You have name brands that you don't have to drive way out to an outlet for. I took a friend who I bumped into at the store that this one is a one stop shop...way better than going to five different stores at the mall. read more

I agree with the other reviewers that this is a very nice Marshalls. I didn't spend too much time looking around, but I was able to immediately find a pair of shoes in my size that I had spotted in the wrong size at another Marshalls a few days earlier. If I had had more time, I'm sure I would have found other things to buy, so my wallet was definitely thanking me that I was in a hurry. read more

This location had the SLOWEST cashiers. You would think if you see a long line of customers waiting for a register you'd ask for back up.

Didn't find much to buy. My boyfriend and I both had the feeling that we were being followed around the store by the employees. This review is based upon the lack of fresh air and air conditioning in the store. It is ridiculously hot; always! Stuffy and hot. It smells. I'm tired of hearing that the corporate office controls the temperature. It's sickly in there. I'm not expecting it to be an ice box but the entire store (not just one air vent) needs to be under 78 degrees. One vent is open and it isn't located in any great section. read more

For some reason this location always seems like the place just got robbed or cleared out. Selection and option availability equals a big fat zero. I also find their choice of layout and product placement to be completely off the wall. There is no cohesive flow, nor is there the desire to sit and shop. It's in the same plaza as Panera, Ann Taylor, prep kitchen, peets and soma intimates. I commend them as one of the few Marshall's that sell both a paddleboard and a kayak, reasonably priced less than $200. I was not impressed however that they have on display a broken glass cake stand. Just like everywhere else, make sure to double check your purchase. read more

There are other Marshalls I visit and this one in SB is by far the bottom of the barrel for me. The staff are friendly. The store is clean. The clothes were in the proper sections and sizes. I wasn't planning on buying anything when I stopped by the new Marshall's in town. I don't usually have the patience, nor the time to venture into discount department style stores. But, I saw the Shoe Mega Shop sign and since I was in the market for some new boots, I thought I'd check it out. Well, I'm SO glad I did. Not only was I impressed with the size of the shoe department, I was very happy with the prices. I bought 2 pairs of super cute boots-one for $20 and the other $25. Seriously, I was going to spend more than twice that amount at Nordstrom, but thank goodness I didn't. I perused around the ladies section as well as the juniors section to find myself trying on chunky knit sweaters and great fall/winter jackets. All under $50. I even noticed a pair of my beloved Joe's Jeans for $80. What a steal!! And although I didn't check the prices, I saw some Rock N Republic and J Brand jeans as well. Sweet Anyway, this Marshall's might be my newest shopping spot, before I hop on the 605 to Nordstrom. I hope it remains as clean and organized...especially in the shoe department. I actually noticed an employee that straightened out all of the shoes...possibly his main job was to keep it neat and tidy! I came in specifically to get thank you cards, and I walked out with more items than expected. Great card selection although it could be tricky to find at first, hidden at the back shelf. The discounted selection in at the back of the store seemed like a mod podge of whatevers, but there were some good deals there. Not too crowded and wide selection of items. read more

When I was young and growing up on the East coast, I used to dream about living next to a mall. Now I'm all grown up and literally live right next to the Shops at Rossmoor. What does that mean? If I need some field greens, I walk on over to Sprouts. If I need a coffee, I go to Peets. Wine tasting? Winestyles is just around the corner. And if I'm in the shopping mood, why I just walk into the new Marshall's that opened just a few months ago! This is probably not the best Marshalls I've been to but because it is new, it's very clean and organized. I've only purchased a few things, still preferring the TJ Maxx down the road in Los Alamitos (why is that place not listed on Yelp? I want to review it!). Today, though, I scored big. My own luggage was on it's last leg, zipper, and lining. I came across this set (3 pieces) by Liz Claiborne (10 year warranty). Light blue. Very pretty and should stand out in a sea of black at the airport. The three retail tags totaled more than 650.00. I got all three for 150.00 (plus they gave me a 10% discount for some minor scratches on two of the bags). The best part about the whole experience was my conversation with the young cashier: Me: Would you mind, as you remove the sensors, to nest the bags? Him: Uh....well... This evening my girlfriends and I came to this store to do our Christmas shopping. I specifically wanted to purchase a HUGG robe for my nephew but it had sold out at this store, so I asked the sales associate, if she could please check the Cypress store to see if they have one there. The sales associate called Cassandra to check for me, she responded for us to wait. Fifteen minutes later, she walks up to us and tells me, if I could show her the item I needed, so that she can describe it to the sales associate in the Cypress store. Okay, if they had one in this store, now why would I ask her to check another store. Doesn't make sense right! Well, she turns her back at me and tells me that she has no time to do it, because she is in the middle of something else. By this time, half an hour later, I ask to speak to the store manager, Betty B. (store manager) walks up and doesn't say hello or introduce herself but flashes her employee identification card. I respond to her that I could read her Id, no need for her to rudely flash her identification card towards me (the font is about 14). After, I witnessed her lack of professionalism, I asked her, to please give me the store's corporate phone number. She respond's to me, in a rude manner, to look it up on their website because she doesn't know the number. I told her it's printed in the store's receipts, she looked at me and rolled her eyes and said, she was sorry but could not help me. I quickly called my girlfriends who were shopping in the store and told them what happened. They were appalled the way the store manager handled the situation, so we all left immediately and continued our shopping elsewhere. read more
