Decided to have a wander today, Friday afternoon. First off, it wasn't what I expected. There's not much there. Unless I'm missing something but the area was quite small. There's like a main strip where all the shopping and dining are located. Literally a block with everything around it. I probably have missed more but it seemed like that this was it. There's parking along the street as well as parking lots around it. You have shopping but nothing massive with chain stores. More shop small stores and boutiques. There's like one or two little cafes and a couple of restaurants. It could be the summer season that makes it pretty slow and quiet. But for a Friday you would have thought there would have been people out and about. Also the heat does make it unbearable and uncomfortable to be outside. We saw maybe a handful of people walking around. Also it seemed like the whole shopping area was closed as there was no one out and about. But they were open. Restaurant didn't seemed opened either as I think some only open for dinner. One did look open for lunch but it was emptied. I hope that it does pick up during the weekend as people are in town visiting. It wasn't much as i was expecting so much more. One or two shops that I walked in was quite nice. A bit pricey but a lot of beautiful items. I hope that's it's only quiet as it the summer months where there's less guest visiting. Hopefully it isn't alway like this and is so much more. I'll have to check it out again when the season is cooler.

I found a couple things I would come back for, but had just shopped and spent a lot so I was only looking. As I was leaving, I complimented Mary for greeting me warmly. I expected her to say "thank you" and then I would leave. But she started chatting which lead to her telling me about her art and jewelry. And I also asked if the owner was hiring. I must say it went downhill from there. I suspect Mary was just protecting her job which is obviously very important to her. I will be back another day!

After calling…read moreout several times with no response, a woman eventually came from the back wearing what looked like an ugly costume-style hat. Her demeanor was unfriendly from the start no greeting, no smile, and she looked me over with a slight frown. When I asked about the Arrata brand, she told me they no longer carry it, then directed me to the back area and said the items there were 50% off and that I could check the rack in case something was there. After spending about ten minutes searching, I found an item. At that point she changed her story and said the price on the tag was not 50% off and that it was full price. This was completely different from what she originally told me. My family and I have shopped here before, so this experience was disappointing and unprofessional. I came specifically to purchase a Mother's Day gift, and the lack of courtesy, clarity, and consistency made the visit unnecessarily frustrating. She blew it Lulu, we will never come back and we will pass the word along. Be nice to everyone afterall we keep the rent paid.

I know this seems a low bar, but if you shop at TJ Maxx, Off 5th on El Paseo, Ross and other discount stores that are in the same competitive space, this is not the norm. The Ross staff down the street hollers at you "WELCOME" in hope that distracts you from seeing the piles of misplaced merch in the aisles, and then you end up waiting in a monumental line that makes you wonder if you really need that $19.99 item. At this Marshalls, I can find nice displays of clothing at the front of the store of multiple brands' offerings, with my size 2 or 4 still available on the rack. The dressing rooms are clean and offer nice lighting so I don't obsess on my imperfections. Overall a great experience shopping here and I definitely recommend this Marshalls.

We went to the Indo store and Alan Salazar, the sales person at that store greeted us and showed us the mattress we were looking for so we could actually test the mattress. He was very knowledgeable as well as very personable, and guided us to the model that would work best for us. He answered all our questions and gave us very helpful information. The mattresses arrived and were very professionally and quickly added to our bedroom, and our old mattresses quickly taken away. The testing at the store, the sale and the delivery were all handled as best as we could have possibly asked for, and we love our new mattresses.
