Personal preference but I don't care for the combined Marshall's and HomeGoods. I don't know why exactly... too big? too much "tchotchkes" for me? Anyways, selection was ok. We managed to find a few items. Love checking out the clearance racks. I find Marshall's regular prices climbing. Hard part is, there is ALWAYS a huge line at nearly every Marshall's we go to... this one included. So like, waiting in line for 3 small items is annoying. Used to love Marshall's/TJMaxx but finding I am gravitating to Ross more and more. read more

This was my 2nd time to the HomeGoods portion of this store (it's combined with Marshall's). There was a lot of variety & I was able to find what I was looking for. Pricing is pretty "hit or miss". Some things are cheap/fairly priced, others have me whisper-shouting "IN THIS ECONOMY?!" just gotta be willing to take your time & look thru stuff read more

Marshalls is just a great store in my opinion. I like to shop here for men's fashions, and I always peruse through the clearance sections. The food item selection is also worth looking at. I always find something healthy. read more

I rarely go here when I can't find something where I usually shop. The prices are not that cheap either.

I compare all Marshall's to the one in Pearland, which is by far the best one. This one has a good variety of items! But the employees aren't friendly, and everything seems a bit unorganized. The dressing room lady forgot to give me a number and then when I was done, the same lady asked me where my number was and if I just walked back there.... Nope! She just forgot in the 5 minutes I was back there. Clothes were also scattered in the wrong sections, so it was hard to find things. This location does have a HomeGoods in the same building, which is convenient! But it does make the checkout line longer, and the parking lot busier. read more

Absolutely the worst store. Inventory low and picked over. Stuff everywhere. Staff low. Line to check out ended at back of store. Only two people checking people out. This place reminded me of a low end discount store. One that sells garbage. Stocked like it. Sad I used to enjoy this store. Shame it's located in the woodlands. I don't like visiting this Marshall's very often because it's a "high volume" store. It's always super busy. You would think it was Christmas time all year round because the cashier lines are ALWAYS long. What a turn off. I usually just walk out. And the store? OMG it looks like a tornado flew through it. It's a mess with empty shelves. Half the furniture for sale is broken, chipped or dangerous to walk by. I've been in crowded antique stores and Goodwill shops that are in better condition than this store. Clean it up! read more

I walked into this store and literally asked an associate if they were going out of business. They did not have any inventory- many, many empty shelves. Historically, I love just walking around a Marshall's store and finding unique and wonderful products- not at this store. read more

I usually don't shop these kind of stores but I found a few happy surprises :). First off this is a newer concept store. It is actually a Marshall's/HomeGoods combo store. Meaning once you enter either entrance you are in one store with one cashier paying line. You can openly wonder throughout both stores. These kind of stores frustrate me because they usually are so disorganized and I'm very organized. I was in here about a week ago after an acupuncture visit and got the calming beads in my ear lobes so many that is why I could handle it....lol! Anyway I stayed mostly on the HomeGoods side looking for unique but practical gifts for others and me of course :)! That is actually what I found throughout the store. I was impressed! I actually was finding quality unique gifts at great prices. I could take so many gifts and place them on a Macy's shelf or an equivalent store and they would blend in quality wise but at a much discounted price.....pretty cool ha! Sure the store was packed with stuff but it did have a very crowded sense of organization. Maybe they had so much more unique quality goods because of the holiday season. I really don't know. What I do know was I enjoyed my shopping experience enough to give them 3 stars. Plus they were open till 11pm that night I believe because of the Christmas/holiday shopping season. You want to know the biggest shock??? It was after 10 pm at night and the store was Not torn apart and a disaster! It was still neat just crowded with merchandise which made sense for the season. I purchased mens clothing (Thursday 4 March at 2:25 pm). First I had to try my clothes on. The fitting room for the MENS has a note stating go to the WOMENS fitting room to try clothes on. After my fitting, I re-hung clothes back in their hangers and left them in the change room (I did not want them), and then I went to leave. The girl employee who worked in that department, at the fitting rooms (who was on her iPhone constantly), instructed me to go back into the changing room, and retrieve my hung-up clothes and bring them out to her. God forbid she actually do her job. This was very rude. read more

Oh my goodness, the lines of people waiting to check out would scare many away, but they moved quickly. One thing, well two things actually is there was no special return aisle even before Christmas and I had to wait in line to do a return. The second thing, shoppers have no respect for items on shelving. They open, scratch leather goods or allow their children to do so or to play with a toy while they shop only to put it down when they get to the checkout. Now, that isn't a Marshall fault, but the aisles are a mess and are very narrow. Restrooms were in need of attendant care. It won't keep me from going back though. read more

This place is like a goodwill old, dirty and unorganized. I walked into the store and all I seen was a huge backed up line and I was there thirty minutes and it didn't move. The shelves have so much crap on it that you have to dive in and hope to god you dont break anything, so unorganized. I seen like 2 employees around the whole store. It was hard getting around the walls and stuff with a basket. The walkways were so tiny that it was hard to get past one person. Some items were overpriced i can get the same thing cheaper at tjmaxx or athome. read more

Pros: Good prices and selection. A good deal of home goods (like rugs, small furniture, baskets and bathroom stuff) shoes, makeup, clothes. Parking is decent if not in peak hours. Cons: Crowded on weekends and even when it's not the line is annoyingly long. Sometimes it moves quickly and sometimes it's agonizing. Never does have enough cashiers. Store is always messy. You cannot even bring a bottle of water.

I made a purchase of 2 portable doggie bowls. When I got home I realized that one of the bowls didn't have the silver clip to hang on my doggie carrier. I went back to the store and asked if I could just have the clip from another bowl and they said no I had to stand in the longest line ever to make an exchange. By the time I got there I returned it instead. This location is horrible, employees included. Don't waste your time at this store. read more

They have a a descent selection of items from time to time.. my main issue is their terrible customer service.. the employees have zero regard for customers... Meh....it's okay. Seeing as how it's the only Marshalls/Home Goods in The Woodlands, it's going to be crowded and picked through. The store is always busy. The lines are always long. I'd rather drive into Houston to visit the one at Echo Lane or West Gray or go to the one at Grand Parkway near I-10 Katy (now, that one ROCKS!!!). It's still fun to browse through though and you can find some good stuff...just not as good as other locations. read more

I've been in here a lot, always a good selection in clothes. The men's shoes area is weak, but I don't come in there for shoes. Home Devore is expansive I see a lot of ladies in there shopping the department so I'm guessing that it's really good. The line to check out is always super long! But the 9 cashiers move it relatively quickly. The building is nice and the stuff does a good job organizing the shop. The store has a pretty sweet selection of clothing, shoes, handbags, luggage, toys, personal care items, and other (really random) miscellaneous pieces! It's got a rather well-stocked home goods department for finding some interesting and cheap goodies to adorn your dwelling with! I liked that the clothing was meticulously organized by size; the hangers corresponded with the size of the items too. I didn't once find something NOT in my size in the section indicative of my size! They had a lot of rolling racks out on the floor, some in the walks-ways! I imagine the associates were putting clothing out, whether from back-stock or from the fitting room, but those things can get in the way or get someone hurt if they're not paying attention. I was bummed that some of the items I would have bought (toys for my nephew) were in packages/boxes that were tattered/ripped/all around in poor shape! I'd be embarrassed to buy those things and give them as gifts in the condition they were in! While the toys themselves were seemingly fine, perhaps the store should consider removing them from the floor or offer a discount at the register for the quality they look to be in. Only other downside of this trip here was finding the air conditioning in the fitting rooms was out! Good grief it was hot back there! Big thanks and praise to the fitting room staff for being so patient and apologetic about the chance-circumstance! The employees of this store were all really nice for that matter! read more

Love this store! NEVER go on your lunch hour! The cashier line wraps around like a popular Disney amusement ride! By the time you get close to the cashier, it's time to return to the office! The worst part is with all the cashier positions available there were two uniformed employees (if you call a HomeGoods apron a uniform) chatting on the floor and less than half of the cashiers were manning a station! Poor cashier management = frustrated waiting customers = less sales. Same thing happens right after work! I suppose this location prefers to cater to those leading a life a leisure. read more

This is actually a Marshalls and HomeGoods. I thought the store was relatively clean and well organized. It's a pretty big store as well. They have a lot of shopping carts - is there such a thing as too many? It looks like they can compete with Target next door for the most carts. There was a swarm of them in front of the store, but they were unorganized. I found some great deals on purses and beauty items, so I was really excited! There was a nice section of clearance purses too. I got a nice quality fossil purse that I couldn't pass up. Just beware of the line when you get in... I had a short line of 5 people in front of me, but when I checked out the line may have had 30 people in it. I saw a lot of people give up and leave the store without purchasing because of this. I've been here about five times now, enough to get a good idea of what Marshalls has to offer. They have a lot of good deals but you might have to dig for them. Their product is packed on shelves in disarray and product is left on the floor. That being said I have some great buys here. Oversized mirrors for $39.99, decorative vases for $4.99, and beautiful artificial flower bouquets for $9.99. I have had great customer service on two of the trips. But I was overcharged on one trip where i spent over $300. I thought it happened at the register because I pretty sure the cashier scanned two more expensive items in the place of the two cheapest items I had. There was about 15 customers in line behind me so I figured I would just check my receipt when I got home. Sure enough, I was over charged. I called the store and spoke to a manager who told me to bring back the items that were incorrectly scanned. When I came back I spoke with a different manager who was rude and told me I should've brought back ever item I purchased including two 5 foot mirrors. She treated me as if I was trying to scam them out of money, and told me that the items I brought back weren't even on my receipt. After about 8 minutes of back and forth she saw the items on my receipt quickly told the cashier to refund the difference. I will still shop at Marshalls because they do have good pieces and deals but I know to expect the occasional lacking of customer service and cluttered store. read more

Because of the nightmare of getting all my credit and debit cards replaced last Christmas due to the hacking of Target, I decided to make purchases by check this year. I just attempted to write a check at Marshalls in The Woodlands. My check was declined, not because it was no good, but because I HAVE NO CHECK WRITING HISTORY with them! I was referred to a third party phone number to find out what I need to do to be approved to write checks at Marshalls. Evidently I must beg them to take my money and spend a lot of my personal time finding out how to do it. After 35 years, I will no longer shop at Marshalls. read more

BEST PLACE TO GO IF YOU WANT TO BE DISCRIMINATED! I been visiting this Marshalls location for years.What is not to like of it? The long check-out lines, the randomly placed used starbucks cup, or the shopping cart that suddenly disappears with all the stuff you carefully selected during the past hour. BUT HERE COMES THE BEST, the real reason I come to this place: being mistreated at checkout. Believe me, it's so much fun. The first time it happened to me, I was surprised, then angry, so angry to decide not to visit again. But Marshalls is like that douche bag boyfriend that you can't leave because he is so hot, awesome, and, because it's probably your fault that he is the douchebag he is. But let me tell you the story of my "first time" first: I swear, I didn't know it was discrimination until I left the store. I was at the front of the checkout line waiting for that digital screen that tells you the number of the next available cashier. I got the number and approach the cashier until *vinil disk screech sound*, she tells me to go to other cashier. In my innocence I say there is no other cashier, and that the number I got from the screen matched her machine. She said "that other cashier is available" and points to Customer Service. So I went, thinking maybe it was the end of her shift and that she was kind enough to point me to an alternative direction. Imagine my surprise when I look back and see that she is taking the person who was behind me in line (a well-dressed white lady). My second time happened today June 5th, 2015. Something was different, the check out line ran faster and the screen was blinking random numbers at high speed. I quickly get to the front of the line and see 2 cashiers waving their hands. I know at this moment you are thinking, wow! Things have improved here!. I walked to the lady that was the closest, and stood in front of her. First thing I noticed was that she was still waving, as if she hadn't noticed my presence (I didn't worried because my douchebag boyfriend does the same). When I say "hello", she turns and her face shows so much dissapointment I start thinking if I did something wrong (just like my douchebag boyfriend, so again, everything is ok). She doesn't say "hello" back. Actually, she never spoke during the checkout process. I look at her name tag "Angelica". She seems hispanic descent and I thought it would not be a problem because I'm from Spain. Maybe she is mute or shy. Once Angelica is done scanning my items, she looks at me as if saying "are you going to pay or what?". I ask how much the total is because it is not showing on the screen. She rolls her eyes and clicks in the machine so the total shows in the screen, then she puts one hand on her hip. When Angelica handed me the sales ticket I said "thank you", (courtesy usually improves my douche boyfriend's humor)after which I got another eye-roll and a "uhumm". So it turns out she is just plain rude, what a relieve. It must be very difficult to have a job like that when you are mute. So I'm sorry Angelica, for thinking you had a disability. Next time, I'll make sure to forget about all that useless crap my parents taught me (you probably don't know a thing about it, but it has to do with manners and courtesy), and communicate to you by eye-rolling signals. read more

i like the store it always has something unique to buy and at a cheaper price and there is always a great gift you can pick up here but the store is always crowded, its like people don't like to stay home with their families, moms are always in there walking around with their screaming kids and they're not buying anything. i have seen customers just sit on the furniture and put their dirty feet on it, like they're at home, they leave their coffee cups all over the shelves, they let their kids eat the candy for sale and rip open the toy packages to play with while the parents shop. The customers put tons of merchandise in their baskets and as they go along they change their mind and just dump it all over the furniture. they pull everything out of packages ( sheets, underwear, socks etc), stop shopping like pigs people and stop complaining about the store after you make the mess. and practice patience when in line, it goes very quickly, have your payment ready instead of holding up the line looking for your card or wallet, remember you are not going to be in such a hurry when the good lord calls you home. and as your fellow customer in line i don't want to hear your phone convo, stop being so loud, you are annoying the rest of us. read more
