Going to Dillard's Men's Department is like treasure hunting, sometimes you find quality treasures and sometimes it is Fool's gold. As I was searching for some decent quality sale items I stumbled upon this gem. I have never heard of Alton Lane and the fabric of this piece caught my attention as well as the design of the tie. As we passed by and doubled back after looking at other clothing we waited for someone to assist us yet alas the person in that department was busy and the gentlemen closest to him was "arranging clothing" so we went to another department and asked the salesperson "John" about the items. It was not his department but he asked what I was looking for and proceeded to try and locate the tie on the sales floor. We could not find it so we went back to the display and Guess what? Took an elderly senior into Dillard at the Woodlands Mall to get Estée Lauder makeup for a Christmas gift. She spent almost $400 at that store. Had to come back a week later to exchange it for a different one cause wasn't for oily skin. The moment Jan found out it's an exchange she became uninterested in helping us and rush thru to get us out of there. She was down right rude. I Walked in the first set of doors at 753pm to make a quick return and there was an employee that was locking the bottom of the door next to me and she said they were "closed." I showed her the time of 753 on my phone and told her it was not 8pm yet. She looked awkward and caught off guard that I brought up this fact, and she said "we are closing now." So I said, "ok so you close BEFORE 8pm." She yammered on about having to lock the door and avoided what I said. It was obvious that she was in a rush to get out of there. What's unfortunate is that my whole transaction would've taken less than five minutes and I would've been out of the store before their closing time. It's a shame how poor Dillard's customer service has become. Disappointing that the store does not honor its operating hours that are advertised. I bought my dream coach bag on 8/2/25. The package was supposedly delivered on 8/8/25 but the package didn't show up and fedex didn't follow protocol to take a picture of the delivered package. I contacted dillards about this and was told they'd take up to 48 hours to process the claim and afterwords I'd be able to get a replacement. On the 8th first thing in the morning I got an email that I would be able to pick up my bag in store soon. Then about at about 1:30 the same day I got an email saying they were no longer going to replace the bag because 'fedex confimed it was delivered to the right adress' idk what their 'proof' was becuase the driver didnt even send a picture of the drop off. I've now talked to dillards customer service mulitpule times as well as the better business bureau and coach, so far I still have neither the bag I bought or the money I paid. About a month ago, I went to Dillards to get some perfume for my Neice, and this really nice lady was helping us with glasses. I think she told us her name was Katrina. My Neice was so indecisive, and the woman that was helping us was asking her what kind of fragrances she likes and everything, and was bringing her perfume that she loved than all of a sudden, this sloppy African American women with a fade comes over while the young lady was helping us and snatches the perfume out of her hands and tells her to go check somebody else out. That was so disrespectful and so rude and not called for another thing this woman reeked of marijuana. I had to take a double take and look around to see if there was anybody else walking past us and there wasn't she was being so ghetto and trashy and cussing for no reason. I told her that was uncalled for then she she started having an attitude with me. I've been shopping with Dillards for years, and I have never met the most disrespectful, nasty woman like that that's ever worked there even after that woman was yelling and cussing at the really nice woman that was helping us, Katrina still kept it professional, and looked at us and apologized for everything and still helped us. Now she is the employee that I am Used to nice and professional. If that other lady doesn't like her job and maybe she should find another one. For her to be smelling that strong of marijuana also tells me she's probably smoking at the mall in her car or something because it really did stink. I like coming here for my shopping. My mom is obsessed with this store, and I don't care where I shop as long as they have the things I need. I've been to this place many times, and the staff are always helpful. I am obsessed with their perfumes and shoes, so those are my go-to sections when I visit. We have been coming to this Dillards for years and probably spend $1k here at least once a month. We bought my stepdaughter shoes on tax free weekend but she wasn't with us because she was at her moms. Fast forward a week later (7 days exactly) and 2 of the 5 pairs we bought her, didn't fit. So we came to exchange them and then they tried to say shoes have a "3 day return policy". There was no sign for this in the store, it says it nowhere on the receipt either. If they have a return/ exchange policy with that short of a timeframe there needs to be a sign for it at every register and the checkout employee needs to be letting the customers know. I pick E So I was shopping for a new bedspread and as I walked around it looked like this area was hit by a massive earthquake. At first I thought they were putting out new merchandise but the more I walked around it just started to seem like a bunch of Jolly Rancher-filled preschoolers jumped on the beds and pulled everything off the shelves. It was literally impossible to go thru the aisles to look for anything. To make matters worse, I didn't find any sales people to help me. I wandered around aimlessly trying to find someone. Did looters come in? Is there's a Poltergeist? When I was in college, I worked at Dillard's, (ironically in the linens department) and our department never looked like this. I went yesterday around 6:30 and was interested in buying perfume. A woman sprayed some on a card which I liked. She told me the price of the large bottle when I asked how much it costs. I asked her if they had a smaller bottle and how much that costs. She said yes and walked toward the counter. She was speaking with another employee in another language for quite a while. Finally, I said something about her getting the price for me. I finally left because she wasn't taking me seriously. I was planning on buying the perfume but she lost my business. She didn't explain that she needed to speak to the employee for several minutes or anything. I received 2 dresses as Christmas gifts for my daughters that did not fit. They were ordered online on December 8. I tried to return them today (1/21) but was told they could not be returned, and I could not even get store credit because it was outside the 30 day return window. Obviously, the dresses were not received the day the online order was placed. I am contacting the gift giver to find out when the order was actually received by her but due to postal delays and the holidays, every other store has allowed returns through 1/31. This is my first stop when I need that special occasion dress/outfit. I love the downstairs fashion area at the mall opening. And they have a great shoe department. I worked in the shoe department part time as I was finishing up my degree 10 years ago. It was a good environment to work in with the exception of one thing...the shoe addiction that women get hit me hard core. But with that being said I realized that most quality shoes are worth the purchase. I've been shopping here since they opened 12+ years and the staff is normally very helpful. You call and customer service hangs up on you. You go in and the woman in customer services are rude to you. If this is supposed to be a store of standards, they fall short in making sure the customer is happy. Must be hard to not give an attitude when asking a simple question. If you don't like your job, you should probably move on. Also, you can't walk in the store without someone hounding a credit card down your throat. If I don't want to ruin my credit for your numbers. Sorry if I say no once it doesn't mean to continue to ask. And the benefit of getting 10% off after spending so much is really nothing to brag about. Most of the departments there look picked over. Customer service is good in all Dillard's stores because the store demands they sell a certain amount of goods or they lose hours (not really fair but I don't own the store so I can't change it). This location doesn't have the inventory that you will find at willow brook or bay brook, but it's not a bad store. Still, if it's inventory your looking for this particular location gets skimpy and doesn't have a furniture dept at all. read more

My mom and I went to the men's department here to do some last minute Father's Day shopping today and we had a wonderful experience. A young man by the name of Ryan helped us find exactly what we needed. He was very knowledgeable and helped us to pick out a really nice outfit for my dad. All we had to do was tell him what kind of style my dad liked and what his build was and BOOM! We had a full ensemble put together within 15 minutes. He was so personable and an excellent salesman! Went to Dillards at 11 and found out it opens at noon on Sunday. Hubs needed another white dress shirt and he likes the men's wear dept at Dillards, but instead of waiting, he wanted to go to Marshall's, Ross and Macy's. All I say, hubs should never complain about me shopping for shoes...which by the way, I did at Macy's. By now, it was noon and Dillards opened for our shopping pleasure and we headed straight to the men's dept. We found the petfect white dress shirt with clear buttons (he must have clear buttons on a white dress shirt) and also, a Cremeuix dress shirt I needed for him to have. We both find the men's dept at Dillards to have a great selection in every section of men's apparel. Never have we been in that dept and not purchased something. I typically only shop in the foundation dept of Dillards because the petites dept isn't a large one and I am hard to fit unless I go to the girl's dept and they don't have a large girl's section for anything that could pass as age appropriate for me. Shopping for clothing elsewhere for myself isn't a problem. I also prefer the shoes at Macy's or Nordstrom's over Dillards, but as long as hubs gets what he wants or needs in one store is a good day for both of us. Parking on the men's side of the store is always easy to find, as well. read more
