I have to say that this store feels like an afterthought in the mall. After you make your way through the more entertaining portions of the mall you find yourself wondering down the corridor to what feels like a dead spot. This end of the mall just feels deserted. I had though I had made a mistake by coming down this way, but I ventured inside. I found that this location is a bit above average in what they have to offer. Especially since they are marketed as a Marshalls/HomeGoods. At least the store felt like it had something to offer if you were just looking in. But the hardest part of the task is that really search in here to find the deal or item you have in mind. For the most part it is organized, however there are sections that looked like it was torn apart. Not horrible, but also not great at the same time. read more

I love this Marshall's for its beauty products, pet products (wouldn't recommend edible products unless you read the ingredients) and its everyday stuff. Clothes not so much. Their jewelry section is a hit or miss. read more

We joke about my wife having her own parking spot at Marshalls, as she is there so much and although good for somethings, make sure you check when buying shoes there, fo any faults, as they are impossible to return. I recently purchased a pair of sneakers, that fit great in the store. Upon wearing then for one day, it is obvious there is something wrong, as they made so much noice, my son laughingly called me "Squidward" from the series Sponge Bob. Yes, THAT noisy. My wife tried to return them, but was refused. I called the manager Sonja, but she stated that if they cannot be resold, they could not accept them. Question, why would you want to resell faulty shoes? The price is a mere $ 39.00, but the point is my complaint. They sold faulty shoes, and would only accept their return if they could resell them. Not a great place, cheap, but there you go, cheap for a reason. read more

i would give zero stars but i can't. i bought sandals at a different marshall's earlier this summer and no longer have the receipt i have made millions of returns at marshall's without receipts for store credit, understanding this is what i would be getting. they would not accept my return and said the shoes are older than a year but i somehow purchased them at a marshall's earlier this summer. the cashier was rude and had no explanation for why this wouldn't work. read more

I'm sure there are worse and more disorganized Marshalls stores around, but this one is the worst I've seen personally. Nothing is where it's supposed to be...nothing. There is always a line of at least 10-15 people, and it take forever to check out even with one item. The saving grace is their employees. They are all very courteous, slow, but courteous. read more

Visited this store few times, very unorganized store. At the cash register as we were checking out one of the manager said, I can help you here. To confirm I asked, would you like me to come to your side he became nasty. Point blank nasty tone, told me " you stay there she will help you. Go back to that cashier. I was astonished to see how he was reacting to my simple question. I asked our cashier who is he and why is he talking down towards the paying customers? She said, he is the "manager"!!! I asked for his name he told me his first be "Michael" won't give me his last name. I told him that I will file a complaint against him for behaving unprofessionally. He kindda laughed at the "complaint" .... We walked out and won't return till it's resolved. If a manager acts this way how in the world he is going to train staff?!! Told you... if I see a Marshalls, TJ Maxx or HomeGoods, you just KNOW I'm gonna drag you in there with me!!! Suck it up and accept it. This Marshalls was quite larger than the one in Sterling. As per usual, they had a great selection of shoes and clothing! However, I must say that the shoppers and clerks were very grumpy this day. Not sure what was in the air but everyone I tried to get a smile from just kept grunting at me. As if to say, I see our big goofy smilie but I refuse to participate in it! I figured because it is at Potomac Mills the selection would be better since it's larger...it does not. The women's section is small and the general dress section is even more teeny-tiny! It's interconnected with Homegoods so there's a lot of options there, but that's about it. I found nothing to buy in clothing and most shoes aren't larger than a size 9. I did get some stuff for the kitchen, though The Rockville, MD location is smaller but has a much better selection. Back to Maryland I go.... read more

Their Under Armor Nike and Northface stuff is more expensive then the Under Armor, Nike and Northface stores in the same mall. Also when I ordered furniture totaling over $500 (so I would think a big sale for this type of store) they didn't not show up or call during the 5 hour window they said they would deliver it. I called myself and they said they were 30 minutes out and still did not show up. Customer service and prices are not their specialty. read more

This store is a combination of Marshalls and Home Goods. The store is definitely bigger than other Marshalls I have been too. The deals are okay, I think I could find better deals at the Fairfax one. The shoes section was messy. There were shoes on the floor everywhere and the price tag didn't even match the shoes brand. The layout was a bit confusing but I found my way around. I would stop by here again if I was in the area but I wouldn't put much effort to go here. read more

Horrible customer service. I went in to try on clothes I was over the limit of clothing that I could take in. No problem the fitting room attendant snatched them up and handed me a number. When I came out to switch out my clothing the rooming rudely demanded. "Where's my number where's my number?" "I'm not done trying on the clothes I came out to exchange the clothes." I responded. She stood there dumfounded. I asked her if I could switch out clothes, she argued that I never gave her any clothes and that I placed them on the shopping cart. Another attendant came in and the ladies begin speaking in their native tongue, the original attendant laughed then nonchalantly revealed. "Oh I put them back I put them back, they're over there!" she pointed with her pudgy finger. That bitch I understand this isn't some high end boutique but really. I work in retail, in fact I'm a manager who implements a little thing called WORLD CLASS SERVICE. I understand that would be asking too much from Marshall's but there is no reason to treat your customers so badly. read more

Omg this is my #1 store to go for shoes appeal and purses!! Absolutely love it and the prices are unbelievable!! The store had gotten so much better , organize , and stocked more with more selections. I prefer Marshall or TJ MaXX because of their shoe selection and prices. Home decor is absolutely beautiful as well but who doesn't know that ? Lol! I buy all my coach Michael Kors shoes here always find great unbeatable prices and the clothes are trendy with also amazing prices $6 $10, you can't find quality and price and brand anywhere else better price love it!! read more

I only come to Potomac Mills on a weekday morning & I played hooky to come out here. Yea, finding apparel in your size or stuff in general is already a scavenger hunt cuz its very cluttered! Employees were aiight ok. Just happy to get a Calvin Klein cardigan for $30 & 2 sweaters for $20! Prices are good, go on weekdays to avoid large crowds, etc.. read more

We always come here "just to look" and inevitably end up spending $200. There's a good balance of new stuff and regular stuff. I've found that if I go for something specific I generally can't find it, so and I kind of like to just go up and down each aisle to see what new things I discover. This last trip, Surprisingly, I didn't realize I needed Pomegranate body wash, non-slip shoe protectors, a frog drain protector, a "Keep Calm and Drink Wine" tchotchke, and a new yoga top. :) read more

Great finds most of the time. You really need to spend time looking and searching. Its neat and clean. Clearance has different prices.

If you want to wait in line for an hour with limited cashiers and those at the register take their time and can care less about the ones waiting than this is the place for you. The store is messy with the exception of the shoes department. The home department need to be organized. I think management should really consider an effective process at the cashier register. read more

I worked for this company and location not even a week before realizing that it is absolutely horrendous. The management at this location is unorganized but is highly unprofessional. There are a number of things I will shed light on, first they schedule employees to clean carts and count (which is perfectly understandable as were in a pandemic) but management won't allow you to have the carts properly sanitized before a customer comes in, they instead want you to clean the carts in front of customers. But here lies the problem by doing just that it then creates a huge line of customers at the entrance waiting for the carts and we then aren't abiding by the six feet social distancing. Customers become annoyed and soon start complaining, and when it goes to management they reprimand the employee cleaning the carts when they are doing exactly what they were told to do. The managers take no accountability. Secondly we on Friday December 11,2020 had not one but multiple employees test positive for covid we than shut down the store early and were told not to inform the customers as to why but to state we had to close due to cleaning and not only could we not inform the customers as to the truth which you are required to do so that any customer who may have came in contact with that employee could be tested but they still made us stay an extra hour after closing to recover the store putting us more at risk. Lastly on Sunday December 13th 2020 I at roughly 1220 was sent to the mall side to do our counting of customers entering the store, a woman approached me and I informed her that we were currently at capacity and that I would just need for her to wait until a number of people left before entering. She then responded with a highly rude attitude stating I clearly know that I'm coming to you because you forgot to remove a sensor from my things ( mind you I was not on any register nor rang this customer out ). I of course informed the customer that I'd be happy to check her items and see if any sensors were accidentally forgotten, not only does she slam her bag down she then begins to huff as though I'm inconveniencing her after thoroughly checking the thermometer and wallet she had purchased and seeing there were no sensors including none of the sticker sensors I informed her that there were no sensors and that I'd be happy to check her items from the other store she purchased from because it could be on there. She then rebuttals that I am incompetent and am not understanding her clearly and I apologize for any misunderstanding but inform her again that I am sorry but I could find no sensors. Her daughter than comes up snatching the bag and verbally shouting that I have horrible customer service and that I'll be damned for speaking to her mother that way. I then call for management on the headset because I was informed to do so when a customer becomes aggressive. The manager kattia comes over and ask what is happening the daughter and mother than come over and she starts to shout how I'm disrespecting her mother and that I should be fired for poor customer service and that I won't speak to her mother that way. I turn around and she than starts shouting at me to get out of her face and at this point we are about 13 feet away from each other I respond mam please I am not in your face and that's when she charges at me and starts to shout she will rock me In the store that she'll take me now being directly in my face with no mask and that she'll make me cry and I'll be fired. I then am escorted to the back in shock crying. The manger kattia let the customer remain in the store to shop after she verbally threatened me and put me at risk. Kattia comes to speak to me and informs me that the customer always shops there and they've never had an issue with her that it must have been my response to her that set her off to act that way or that she was just plain and simple having a bad day. And that when speaking to customers to simply just not say anything at all. They don't enforce the mask mandate and as an employee you cannot tell a customer to wear one. i went here on my lunch break. Found a nice piece of framed artwork but no price tag. I asked this guy with no name tag and dressed like he was going jogging if he worked here. He said yes. I asked if i could get a price ont his before i go to the register. He looked down at the frame and pointed to 3 numbers handwritten on the item and said its 30 bucks. I dont believe it but headed to the front registers. He acted like he did not want to help me at all. I went to the front and 12 people were in line so I went to the other side and asked this man and another woman standing behind the register if I could leave this here until 3 pm since the lines were so long. The man said how many minutes, just a few minutes? then said you want to pay hold? I said I would like to leave it until 3 pm (it was =1pm). He said thats "pushing it". then the lady chimed in and said "we dont have any space up here". He said "why dont you take it back to pictures and hide it and then come back to pick it up?" THEY WERE NOT ACCOMODATING, UNFRIENDLY AND UNPROFESSIONAL. 1. what is pushing it? idito please elaborate for me 2. What is pay hold..... i am the customer and dont understand your slang words 3. What do you mean by hide it and come back later? Are you joking? 4. the numbers 030 on a picture ....is that really a price? dicipher that for me please. 5.
