Gosh what a bad experience- the thing I'm looking for, men's boxers are locked behind the glass doors, of course no one is around to help, go all the way over to "customer service" but they can't help, they really should be labeled "returns" because that's all they do; can they call someone? No go over to the fitting rooms I'm told. No one is at the fitting rooms, I walk around for anyone- find someone with the "happy to help" blue vest, nope she can't help, can't call anyone; go to a 3rd person, nope she talks to the 4th person- she gives me the "I'll find someone" well thankfully she did, she came back and opened the glass doors and I was able to get the underwear I was looking for. Walmart you need to empower your employees walking the floor around sections that have locked up merchandise to be able to access the merchandise - it shouldn't take 4 people to get help, and that 4th person came back with a phone to unlock the glass via RFID app. Then! For whatever reason my card chip doesn't work straight away and it takes 5 tries and 2 different cards to be able to work, I know full well my tap feature works fine, I don't know why my chip struggles but I hate it when I'm at Walmart and their card readers don't have tap to pay :( like I said, bad experience read more

They have a lot of construction in the parking lot so the parking lot is very crowded. Near the north side entrance there are several rows that end in a dead end/construction. The "scan and go" option here is not very useful. They don't have separate lines for the "scan and go" and you have to go to self-checkout area. You don't have to get in line, but you have to find the Walmart employee in charge of the self-checkout area so they can direct you to a self-checkout register to use. read more

Allow customers to use valid coupons. Every time I have a coupon for over $2 they tell me it's not valid even though it is. A supervisor needs to be called, I, along with all the other customers have to wait and then typically they figure it out. This time they sent me to customer service then told me it's a problem with the computers! No one even tried to over ride and no manager available. This review is for the bakery section. They did a great job on my daughter's birthday cake and cupcakes. The whole cake was an 8" double layer chocolate strawberry for $17.98 and the dozen vanilla cupcakes were $7.97 + tax. The bakers frosted half the cupcakes with regular buttercream and the other half with whipped buttercream. Everything tasted great; just be sure to check your order before you leave the store. At first the cupcakes were bare, but I reminded the employee that they were supposed to come with the little toppers from the Peppa Pig page in the catalog book. read more

On June 4th is was a piece full protest on Burke Center parkway near Walmart. For BLM. That day they decided to closed at 5PM. Seriously! The one time that you should stay open later you don't. I was lucky that one nice employee let me in at 4:45 to grab water. Gatorade and. Snacks for the young protesters. Mostly from high schools around here. Just went today and last week as well. Been living here for 10+ years now and shopping at this locale. Never in my life have I had an issue with anything until recently. This locale has the worst most potent smell of WEED in the back aisles. The soda/wine aisle REEKS of weed. Not sure whose in charge of this locale but they should look into placing some sort of restriction on smoking those substances whilst on the job. Would not recommend going back until they get this situation handled. It left me feeling quite nauseated and sick from how potent it was. Not really a big fan of aiming to this Walmart but it's dependable so I visit occasionally. Today, I felt racially profiled while shopping & I won't be back anytime soon. I came to shop for myself and pick up a few things for a friend. While I was shopping in the store a "normally dressed" person seemed to be following me around. Since I was shopping separately I was putting my items in 2 separate parts of the cart: in the child seat and also in the main cart. While I was in the hardware section, I was stopped by another "normally dressed" person and demanded me to not shop that way right before the first person I noticed walked right up. I'm not sure if it's a new approach to loss prevention but it was like they were accusing me of doing something wrong. I wasn't, so I did what they asked but they weren't even wearing uniforms or didn't say who they were or anything. I was very uncomfortable while finishing the rest of my shopping so now I'll go to the Walmart in Dumfries or even avoid the corporation all together and just go to Target. read more

This is the place to be for all Halloween related stuff. I saw at least 3 aisles dedicated to nothing but Halloween costumes and decorations. And then there is the candy aisle. I picked up two boxes of Sweetish Fish for $1.24 each, and you would be very hard pressed to find candy that affordable these days. My primary reason for coming here today was to get a pair of carpenter pants, and at the same time check out some of their sweatshirts. Fall came in like a lion yesterday, and the temperature has definitely dropped enough where I can feel it! While I was in the men's section I noticed several very nice flannel shirts, as well as. Long sleeve thermal crew shirts for only $12.00! I couldn't find the white color here, but I will definitely check out one of their other locations for the white thermal shirt. The place was super busy today, but it didn't take long to use the self serve check out. I especially like this store because of the adjacent grocery section. read more

Went into store to by an air fryer that was on the app as a Black Friday deal. Looked at it on the shelf with many more sitting there so I picked it up and put it in my buggy. Walking through the store 8 more people had them in their buggies as well. So get to self check out and it would not scan. So self checkout cashier tried and said she was not selling it to me. So i told her I wanted to see manager. Waited about 25 minutes and a very nice gentleman showed up he scanned it 2x and told me that he had to talk to his boss to see what was going on and how he could assist. Then this lady TEHREEM shows up behind me and asks what is going on, he told her and she said well it is a black Friday deal that does not start until tomorrow. So I asked why it was on the shelf. She repeated several times that it " was not for sale and she was sorry".so I asked several times " then please explain why it is on the shelf accessible to the customer" she said "if you just keep repeating yourself I am not going to talk to you". So I said "ok I want the store manager down here" Around 15 20 minutes later here came Laura and some guy. She repeated the same thing but she added that they just hadn't put up any notice of sale starts tomorrow anywhere yet. Mind you almost 3pm and sale "starts" at opening tomorrow. If you want the item you can order it online and return to store in 6 hours and pick it up! WTh? Can't make this crap up! Walmart is such a joke. Will not shop Target and a hair away from boycotting all Walmart's... unbelievable. And the few things they have are always out of stock. I went to enlarge a 3×5 to a 8x10 and while the guy working the photo counter was helpful, it shouldn't take almost 20 minutes to scan, enlarge and print a photo. Plus I only wanted an 8x10, but he showed me a 5x7, as if it was on the Waltons, but then proceeded to charge me for it. WTF. I lost my mother's card in the store and I thought some other person picked it up besides an employee. But luckily an employee did picked it up and returned it to lost and found. The only thing going for this wal-mart location is that it is open 24/7. the positives of this walmart stop at this point. The rest? constant lines, no management of line flow, I don't think i've ever seen the self check out lines working, and when you do take advantage of the place being open 24/7, all the isles are filled with people stocking the shelves, so manuevering through this place is rediculous. i generally would understand this point, but even with people stocking thes helves all night, the inventory is still splattered everywhere and in general dissaray. this is pretty typical of any wal-mart experience though, so thats why it gets a 3 instead of a 1. if you don't know what you're getting into with any wal-mart at this point then you probably haven't been in one yet. read more

Pretty standard Walmart. I came here looking for some baby bargains and left with a few items (Phillips Avent bottles, mittens, a diaper organizer) that were well-priced. I did also find some cheap workout shirts I bought and plan to use too in addition to a cheap pair of shoes for an activity coming up. It was, as is typical, crowded and good luck to you if you need customer service. I have yet to try the Walmart in Alexandria which is closer to me or the one in DC, which I believe is the closest, for comparison- mostly because I dread a Walmart trip, but I will continue to visit this one in conjunction with IKEA when I am in the area. read more

I am a PWC native of 45 years. I've been to this Walmart many, many times. I.HATE.WALMART. The ONLY reason I go there is because of the prices. I have ALWAYS HATED WALMART. Again, it's the prices. Due to my own version of aversion therapy, I have trained myself to be able to tolerate Walmart for at least 40 minutes and this is with both kids in tow. Quite miraculous, isn't it? With a little help from my friends Xanax and Cymbalta, anything is possible. I can overlook just about everything. In fact, today, (as is customary), some man gave me grief about my Skins shirt. Somebody is always giving me grief... and it's always a Dallas fan. Whatever. I can overlook being pushed and shoved by someone who can't say "excuse me". I can overlook employees who don't speak English. I can EVEN overlook a homeless woman groping the donuts with her bare hands, but ..... I drew the line today. I went to the self-checkout, my 10 year old in tow. He likes to scan the items and he scanned the Coke twice by accident. "Excuse me, ma'am," I said to the self-checkout "liaison", "Can you please help us?" She comes over and I explain, but before she removes the Coke added twice, SHE. DIGS. INTO. MY. PURSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHAT THE F**K???????!!!!!!!!!!!! I couldn't figure out what in the Sam Hill she was doing! She pulls out my used lipstick and says, "you pay". I stared at her dumbfounded. I couldn't comprehend what she was trying to say. Then it dawned on me. She was insinuating that I stole it. Luckily, for me, the lipstick holder was clear and it was clearly used. I said to her, "That's MY lipstick!" She seemed unmoved and continued rummaging. "Ma'am, you need to remove your hand from my handbag or I am going to call the police." This seemed to get somewhat of a rise out of her. She removed the twice entered Coke from the scanner and proceeded to look at me and my son and mutter things in Spanish to her coworker. I finished scanning the items, paid, and departed. My son was utterly confused. I was angry beyond words and I felt violated. My mother said I should have called for the manager, but that person was most likely incompetent, considering that this horrid woman was likely hired by him/her. Needless to say, I will not be back to this Walmart. It's absolutely awful. Go at your own risk. And by all means, don't leave your purse unzipped. read more

This is probably the worst Walmart in Virginia. I only shop at this location because it is the closest to my house. I may start traveling out to other locations who have better selection and better attitudes. Today I visited this location for an exchange and they have in plain view on the wall that they will honor your refund or exchange with or without a receipt. According to the CSR she was notified this morning that the policy has changed and you must have the receipt or have paid with a card in order to refund or exchange. I then asked a supervisor for the store manager who gave me an attitude because she said she had just got to work! I then spoke to Majorie who was the assistant store manager who basically blew me off saying that I could read the policy online and to call 1800Walmart to file a formal complaint. I then called 1800Walmart for them to tell me that it's the manages description to allow a return or exchange with or without the receipt. As much as I shop and patronize Walmart, I should own stock in it and I feel very betrayed that I could not exchange an item for $1.97 without the receipt, when the policy is clearly stated on the wall "Within 90 days, with or without a receipt"! Also the non-chalant, IDGAF attitudes of the managers didn't help either, b/c had they at least made me feel like a valued customer then I may have just chalked up the $1.97 and went on my way. I think companies should realize a valued customer when they interact with them and honor their policy that is still displayed in plain view in the customer service area, specially when it's only an even exchange. I wasn't asking for money back or a credit, but an exchange of an un-opened item!!! read more

One Rx had to be transferred from another store, and two had to be transferred from another Walmart. She had all the information at her fingertips and offered to send me a text when it was ready. I decided to do my hair late at night, I ran out of conditioner and went to walmart because it was the only thing open other than 7-11. Walmart is not a place that I frequent so when I saw a sign labeled "hair care" I thought perfect, I'll be in and out in no time. Wrong! The only thing located in the hair care aisle was hair dye and hair accessories like ponytail holders and rubber bands. I knew there had to be more in WALMART. I see a couple employees and walk up to them. Before I could approach, someone else asked the exact question I was getting ready to ask. We were both looking for hair conditioner. They had no idea..... Fast forward....I actually find the aisle of the products I was looking for and I notice an employee in a yellow vest following me. This particular Walmart is a superstore so it's pretty big so didn't expect to see him 20 seconds later. This guy was literally creeping me out as he kept walking by me. Did he have a crush on me or did he assume I was trying to steal? I'm sure he wasnt interested but he kept walking by me making me super uncomfortable. He walked by me so many times that I was able to take a picture of him with my phone. He did absolutely nothing but pace behind me several times. If anything happened to me his picture would be in my phone so that authorities would know who to look for. Anyway I get to the register. Self checkout is the only thing open. I walk up to one and there was a receipt hanging out from the previous customer. I grab the receipt and another employee appears at my right shoulder. She puts her face within inches of my right hand (the hand with the receipt). I'm like excuse me, personal space.... because she was entirely too close to me. She then tells me that it looked like my first item didnt ring up because the screen was blank. My items were still in my cart. I hadn't rung anything up yet. Once she saw that she gave me permission to proceed. I left the receipt that didnt belong to me there btw ... Who hurt you Walmart? That is no way to treat customers. Is this how employees are trained to treat customers? I promise the next time I need something when other stores are already closed, I will wait until the next day. read more
