I love everything I've had, my favorites are the shrimp salad, chicken salad, grilled pimento cheese sandwich & homemade bread. Also, the Quiche, but the Mexican Quiche is the BEST when they have it!! Martha's Tea Room has a beautiful selection of layered cakes, pies and cheesecakes. I was so pleased! Mrs. Rhonda and her crew is awesome. An organization that I am a part of had a Derby Day Tea Party here today and it was just wonderful. The food was so fresh and the staff was very accommodating. The space was already set up and ready to go when we got there so there wasn't any wait. The spinach and bacon quiche was amazing as well as the corn and crab bisque. Definitely do not turn down the bread and butter. Go. You will not be dissatisfied. read more

The establishment is quaint and cute. Everyone is super friendly and the prices are good. Their chutney chicken salad is legendary so, of course we ordered that for lunch. When the server brought our food she was quite apologetic informing us they had "run out" of the chutney chicken salad and it would be a while before a new batch was made. So, what we got was about a quarter cup of the bottom of the bowl chicken salad and a huge plate of pasta salad with a $2 reduction in the cost. While I appreciate the gesture of the discount, I would rather had been advised of the lack of chicken salad and I would have ordered something else. While the flavor was good, the texture was definitely the bottom of the barrel. It was hard to ascertain chicken, pecans, etc. Ir was more of a sweet mayonnaise glop. The pasta salad was very uninteresting and there was a ton of it. The saving grace was the homemade bread. It was delicious. Would I go back? Probably not as I wouldn't want to risk them being out of something right when lunch service begins as we were there at 11:45. read more

Everything about it was a nice experience. All four of us really enjoyed our meals. My Mama and I love Rubens and I give this one a 10! The side was plain chips, dull for such a delicious sandwich. 2 at our table got desserts, Peanut butter pie and a white cake iced with a very light - airy pineapple icing. This used to be one of my favorite lunch spots. After today I will not be back. I ordered a slice of quiche and a side salad. The quiche was marginal. In my opinion it had way too much cheese. I never saw my salad. We waited forever for our food. My daughter said the cashew chicken salad tasted sour. Our waitress never refilled our glasses or checked on us. Many other tables were filled after us and they were served before us. All of them ordered ate and paid. We waited forever for the check and then it was incorrect and had to ve redone. Good food and probably my favorite tasting cake in the area!! The custom cakes are pricey in my opinion, but every dessert I've tried has been soooo delicious! They did a beautiful job setting up for my friend's baby shower, too. It looked like it was done with a lot of thought and care. Everyone appreciated it. Went with friends for lunch. Had never eaten there before but heard the previous owner had sold the restaurant and it was under management. Three of us ordered lobster bisque and the special crabmeat quiche and the other order Rhonda's chicken salad. The bisque was too salty and was not what I expected in taste. The crabmeat quiche had too much cheese on top (which I must say I had never seen on any quiche I had eaten before). The crust was soggy as if heated in a microwave. We all picked at the quiche and left some on the plate. I didn't get the bread but was told it was tasty. The only thing that I enjoyed was the slice of watermelon. Came here to eat lunch with 6 other members of my family. Food was super nasty. Roast beef tasted spoiled. Gagged on the first bite and pushed it away. The ham tasted like it came from a lunchable box and the chicken salad was so sugary it was uneatable. Not to mention our teas came out luke warm. We let our waitress know (which she was sweet and felt bad that we had barely touched our meals). Owner was there but never came to apologize and took off 3 of the cheapest (out of 7) meals. Simply amazing! Everything I tried was absolutely delicious. From their classic side salad with homemade ranch to the most moist and perfectly prepared croissant filled with a perfectly blended cashew chicken salad prepared fresh and all homemade. Did I mention the dessert selection! Oh my! I can't even begin to express the overwhelming sensation of happiness upon taking my first bite of their homemade strawberry cake. Hands down the best cake I have ever had. Last but definitely not least was the relaxing atmosphere and the welcoming feeling upon entering. Customer service was superb! Martha's Tea Room will from now on be our little slice of heaven nestled in the heart of Ocean Springs. I'm definitely looking forward to returning soon to try more of their amazing selections of soups, salads and sandwhiches.... not to mention desserts!! I also asked if they took orders for entire cakes for events and after our server went to the kitchen and asked I was very excited to hear that they would. As a salesman I eat out 4-5 days per week all over the Ms. Gulf coast from Picayune to Moss Point and LOVE to try new restaurants or different dishes from my standard haunts. However, Martha's doesn't allow for this option. The Cashew Chicken Salad on Croissant with a cup of gumbo is so good, that its the only thing i've ordered for the last 15 years!!!! Yes, it's that good. I would love to try their quiche's or perhaps another soup but alas I cannot stray. I love nothing more than going to the local places,this being a favorite when I travel. I haven't been here in a few years and was glad that it still stands. I was a little disappointed this time. The place was only open for 45 min., not crowded and they only had one piece of the daily special, broccoli quiche ,left,there were two of us.The quiche was excellent as we had remembered,we split it.Then we had the croissant with the chicken salad.First bite told me the croissant wasn't fresh,and the chicken salad lacked chicken it was mainly grapes. The lemon box pie was good and so was the peanut butter pie. The service is friendly but a little lax. They have changed the inside and the charm it had is no longer there, just bare walls. read more
