McAlister's used to be one of my favorites! Everything seemed to be fresh! It's just not the same anymore unfortunately. I loved the chicken tortilla soup there. Ordered to satisfy my craving for it but it was weird. It was a weird texture. I took a couple of bites and threw it away. The dining room wasn't in the best of shape. She was down to earth but still on a professional level, not only was her customer service amazing, but my food came out very quickly and was fresh. It's hard to be positive when twice the order is prepared poorly. The bread is barely grilled... warmed enough to feel and taste stale. The first time I called and they agreed to make it right. Since it was almost closing time I said we would be by another day. Yesterday I go and speak to a very kind manager... same guy that I spoke with on the phone. Same sandwiches with no color on the bread...a Ruben requires grilled rye... it was stale rye. The New Yorker also grilled and there was no color and it was dry and stale. I think they have lost my business. The 2 stars are 1 for professional way the manager handled the initial call and the other is for the cleanliness of the restaurant. Lost 3 stars for quality! Should have been better! Ordered online for in-store pickup, I arrived at the time and was pleased when the person brought up my order (or should I say half of my order). My wife's sandwich and her salad were shoved into a too small bag and then the person was ready to go onto the next customer. I realized that there was a problem, so I stood my ground and said that there were items missing. The person then started going through the trash looking for the receipt that he must have thrown away. His co-worker stopped him and then pulled up the receipt on the register. I was right, my order of a sandwich and potato was missing. After several minutes my order was complete and I headed home with dinner. But wait, there's more... when I got home my wife's order was not as we ordered, there was no tomato on her Club and no dressing for her salad; neither sandwich was toasted and my sweet tea tasted old. Absolutely horrible. I know when I come to McAlister's the service will be slow...that's a given but this experience was the worst. Not only did it take almost 40 minutes to get our food (1 full sandwich and half sandwich half salad) but then they were completely wrong. Half of the ingredients were missing. No avocado, the wrong bread, the wrong lettuce, the salad wasn't even close. It looked like they just through whatever they had in the back in there. I know times are tough right now with staffing and supply issues but if things are this bad then maybe stop taking mobile orders and focus on your customers that are actually in the restaurant. Or maybe just let the customer know when they order that you don't have some ingredients. read more

Ordered curbside. After waiting 20 minutes in car, walked in and bags and bags of food are on table. Had no one managing curbside and when walked over to table, they were very rude saying the bags were for curbside. Really? For sure every restaurant is having staffing problems, and the crew present on this noontime Monday was working steadily, but it took just over 30 minutes to get two very ho hum salads for takeout. One was titled a Green Goddess w the obvious namesake dressing and avocados (big picture on the wall). When they handed us the salad they announced "we didnt have any Green Goddess, do you want something else?" Needless to say after waiting a half hour we said we'd find some dressing at home. Just to round out our delight there was maybe a thumbnail sized shard of avocado... not the six slices portrayed up front. We eat at McAlister's Delis all over Mississippi but I'm not in any hurry to return to this one at least during lunch hour. Again, very nice people, glacial service and uninspired food. read more

I ordered a curbside order, after arriving and waiting 10 minutes past my time, I went in. my order was sitting on a shelf, drinks not made. after waiting 5 more minutes to get help, she made my drinks. I checked my order, part of it wasn't even there, and when I finally got it (a baked potato) there was no butter or sour cream. she informed me they were out of butter....ummm, there's a Winn Dixie across the road, go buy some! you don't serve a baked potato without butter and think it's ok. it was also cold. my son's mac and cheese literally had one bite in it and was also dry and cold....get it together guys, you weren't even busy. read more

I had not eaten here since my daughter worked here in high school, about 12 years ago. i was pleasently surprised with the food. i had a veggie spud, about $7, and my buddy had the BLT, about $6, with a mac and cheese side. Both were hot and delicious and very filling. The iced tea cannot be beat on a hot Sunday after church. I went down one star because it took quite a while to place the order as many were waiting and tne only cashier was taking a phone order. I had placed an order online for curbside pickup, and it said my food would be ready at 3:01. When I arrived I called to let them know I was there and they told me the food would be out soon. I waited for over fifteen minutes before going inside to ask if my order was ready. The girl walked over to the "pick-up" area and just said Oh it's right here. I informed her it was curbside, meaning they were to bring it out to my car. She just started at the ticket taped to my order and says ohhh ummm no, but here it is....when I checked the ticket it had curbside printed on it, also had the make model and color of my car on it. My friends and I come here pretty often and we love the food! But today when we came in, we had the absolute worst service we've ever had. The girl that helped us had the nastiest attitude I've ever experienced. They completely messed up my sandwich, (which wouldn't be that big of a deal, but I physically can not eat dairy products) and I specifically asked for the ranch and cheese to be removed. My wife and I used to eat here 2-3 times per week, but not now. The quantity and quality of the salads have gone down since the change in Management (about 6 weeks ago). This is my first survey slip in a while. We used to get a reasonable amount of lettuce with sliced (or grape) tomatoes and sliced cucumbers. Now we can see the bottom of the plate through the lettuce and I guess in an attempt to save on other veggies the tomatoes and cucumbers are diced so small they have no taste and amount provided is sorely lacking. I've seen larger diced tomatoes in salsa. I asked the order taker to provide me with the sliced tomatoes and cucumbers but they said they were all diced up already. read more

This is not a typical Mcallisters. The atmosphere is not like most of them. It has an old cafeteria look and smell. They play music from a reject 80's playlist. Poor management reflects on 50/50 order accuracy. Really sad becaus Mcallisters is one of our favorite places to eat. read more

This place is going down hill fast! First impression:trash filled parking lot and the entire parking lot is holding water. No napkins available, food was decent but none of their signature items were available. We ordered a slice of cheese cake after our meal and after 20 minutes of waiting I just asked for a refund. There was literally 4 people in the restaurant (no excuse for a 20 min wait) we asked twice after ordering, where the food was and then when the refund was requested the cashier yelled across the restaurant for the manager. Not so professional when she was conducting an interview. Manager did apologize for the delay of service and provided the cheese cake on the house.
