A great little diner in downtown Gulfport. They clearly put a lot of work into the building. I sat at the counter and service was fast and friendly. I had the fried catfish, okra, biscuit and sweet tea. It was good. I'd order it again. The food that folks ordered around me looked good as well, and the portions were large.

Wonderful restaurant in the historic district of Gulfport. Had just recently opened and had such a unique vibe. The staff were very friendly and despite how popular it was, received our breakfast choices in a timely fashion and just as ordered. The coffee was not my favorite, but when we returned the 2nd day ordered a specialty coffee instead, which was delicious.

Blue plate lunch, breakfast served all day

We arrived at 10:30, and had to wait about 30 minutes for a seat . Their menu and sign say breakfast all day , but apparently they have 2 special menu, one for breakfast til 11 am then one that says blue plate lunch with limited breakfast options. We brought this up and they were fantastic about making a Mexican omelette for my husband and allowed me to order off the side menu bacon and eggs . I wish there were more keto/carnivore options. The Irish coffee was delicious, but wish they had stevia without sugar in it .

Fresh squeezed orange juice was amazing

Everything was amazing. Staff was excellent. The owner came out and visited. We tried a little bit of everything and it was all great. Chicken fried steak and gravy, country meat omelette, western omelette, spicy and regular hash browns, cappuccino, coffee and freshly squeezed orange juice. I'm not a juice drinker but this was great. Took a lot home. Will be back. If you are in Gulfport you have to go. I think they stay open until 2:00pm

We enjoyed our breakfast so much! Great atmosphere and awesome staff! Matthew was great! We will be regulars now! My favorite was the country fried steak with eggs and cheese grits!

Crispy hash browns, sunny side up egg, grits, pancakes

For sides we had mashed potatoes, butter beans, Mac and cheese, and squash casserole.

What stood out most to me, especially as a Californian, was the homemade touch in every bite. The tacos had homemade pico de gallo, guacamole, pickled onions, and taco sauce. You can really taste the care and effort they put into making things from scratch. Pair that with a gorgeous waterfront view and friendly, welcoming staff, and you've got a perfect dining experience. I'm visiting from out of town, but I'm already looking forward to coming back to try more of their menu. Highly recommend!

It was originally named Marina Cantina but is under new ownership. Parking is a bit sparse here, and you used to be able to park under the bridge but that was blocked off last time I went. You may have to park in the overflow gravel lot just west of the building, which also serves as parking for the excellent Blue Dog Bistro next door. We started with the Tres Amigos appetizer, which included a pile of fresh chips combined with salsa, cheese sauce, and black bean sauce. It was great and really meant for more than two people. They don't skimp on this one. I've been here several times and always get the Shrimp A Go Go poboy, which is pictured here. Although I feel like it could have used a few more shrimp for the price point, it was really good and comes with this creamy sort of salsa that pairs well with the fried shrimp. My wife got the grilled chicken sandwich, and honestly it was bigger and looked better than my poboy. I am definitely trying that next time. I hope this place is doing well because it never seems very busy when we go. It's like something is missing on the inside to liven it up. Our tables were covered in epoxy that was cracked and we saw buckling on the wood floors, most likely from humidity. Service has always been pretty quick and I have never had any complaints. I know the City caused a lot of drama for the previous owners, which is unfortunate. Definitely check this place out if you're looking for a place to hang out and have a few drinks and great food.

He chose the plantation hotel supposedly because of all the raving reviews but let me set the record straight there is nothing amazing about this hotel except possibly the animals. Now let me explain who this hotel is perfect for. If you like animals especially peacocks...this place is perfect for you. If you like dead fly's in your tea....this place is perfect for you. (They have tea and cookies at 4 o' clock everyday. We were super excited except when we got there the cookies and tea had just been sitting out. I was so excited for the juice that I failed to look at it before drank it. Then i realized there were dead flies in both punch bowls. I took pictures but i'd rather not creep you out. I'll just leave that to your imagination. If your between the ages of 40-100 this place is perfect for you. You can definitely appreciate the quietness, the quilt on your bed, and the whole ambiance of the hotel. The hotel room is just bland. In the guest book it says that the hotel has been recently remodeled to look like a home from back in the day. I ask the lady how long is recenlty and she said 10yrs ago!!! Our shower door was broken. There was a wooden table and chairs. Its just not what you expect when you come to a hotel. I expect luxury and what I got was a room from 1890. Sunday Brunch is actually what Plantation is known for. That was probably the best part of our whole stay at the hotel. It was a breakfast buffet which included eggs, omelets, bacon, sausage. (the norm) But it was actually pretty good. I can't complain about that part. This hotel is actually in close proximity to the outlets if you want to go shopping and about 15minutes from the casiono's.
