Happened upon the Lazy Oak for a lazy breakfast! Sat outside and it was so peaceful and lovely. Although the restaurant sits on a 2 way road in that neighborhood area... It is very peaceful. Sitting outside made it more relaxing and the food was delish!! We started with the glazed beignets and my wholly dang if they weren't delicious!!! I could've bellied up to more of those, some crispy bacon and a cup of coffee and been done. But we ordered more food and stuffed our face with yumminess! Service was great too. Highly recommend this gem on the side of the road.

We started at the bar to get French 75s that were awfully made. There was no brandy at all. The food service though was top notch. She was amazing and did so well trying to accommodate us through a hot brunch. The area we sat in was hot with no air circulation and the plates brought were all wet. Even the utensils were plastic. The appetizers of the candied bacon and beignets were a miss. The giant plate the bacon was on was completely slathered in maple syrup and the beignets were undercooked. The porter platter was actually quite good with the hot sausage and grits. My wife had the caprese omelette that was all right. Overall, its breakfast was good but everything else was mid.

This place is surprisingly huge on the inside as well as the outside, and it definitely stays busy on Saturdays and Sundays, but in a good way. They have plenty of parking and tons of seating both inside and outside, so finding a spot is never an issue. The service was incredibly kind and attentive, which made the experience even better. It was a bit cold inside, but I imagine that's intentional for when the crowds pick up. The bathrooms could use a little extra attention, but honestly, the food more than makes up for it. The portions are huge, meals are around $14 and more than enough to take home leftovers. The prices are very reasonable for the amount and quality of food. Overall, a great spot with great value!

Great food. Friendly staff. Comfortable seating. We will go there when we're in the area.

Found this lovely place on a search for non casino restaurants! We hit a jackpot! Lazy oak has a folksy feel, and we were welcomed like family! The restaurant is an old home and full of characters. The food was excellent too! And the biscuits are HUGE! Stop by and visit the Lazy Oak for a nice change of pace and a reasonably priced meal!

A giant pile of mainly eggs and some shrimp.

Found this place on yelp and knew I had to try it. I went to the website and checked the menu and saw pictures of a dish with a whole soft shell crab on top with shrimp and crawfish. Yum! The place is very cute and the employees were very nice. Here's where it went all wrong. I ordered the port and asked the waitress what she thought about it and she replied, "it's really good and huge!" Service was pretty quick so we got our food pretty quick. I tell the gentleman who delivered our food that I was so excited about my food! I noticed my soft shell crab was missing on top but I started digging into the huge pile of eggs looking for it and start eating. Never saw any crab so asked the waitress and she replied was it not on top? I said no. She left and a few moments later the same gentleman who delivered our food came back and said they sold out of soft shell crab and they gave me extra shrimp. I replied nicely that I was looking forward to the soft shell crab and he also replied nicely, yeah but that's why we gave you extra shrimp. No offer to change my order, a discount, maybe a dessert or anything. Why would you change up my order without informing me before hand? Definitely not how business should be handled. Our bill after tipping 20% was about $52 for two people for brunch. Definitely not worth it. Will not be back.

The best beignets I've ever eaten in my life!

The food was good good good. My friend and I wanted to make a stop here before we left town. It didn't disappoint. I ordered the BISTREAUX BURGER oak biscuit burger bacon medium egg cheddar jack cheese I the works I candied bacon aiolo. I ordered toast instead of the biscuit. The fries were so amazing , they look like a paddle. My friend ordered CHILI BANG BANG grits I frled shrimp or oysters 1 thai chill drizzle green onlon. She enjoyed her meal. Our server was very helpful and really fun. The ambiance was laid back and a peaceful vibe. I cant wait yo come back here. I highly recommend

Food was made to order. The featured sauce was more tangy than savory. We went on a busy Saturday morning but didn't have to wait long. Service was excellent. Biscuits are huge and soft. The tables were a little to close together for my liking

This was our first visit to the restaurant, and we noticed that parking was quite crowded, likely because we arrived during brunch hours. Fortunately, we only had to wait about five minutes to be seated, and our waitress was quick to greet us. We ordered an appetizer and our main dishes, but they came out at the same time, which wasn't ideal. I thought the food was good, but my partner didn't enjoy it as much. I really liked the boudin balls since it was my first time trying them, but my partner found them too soggy inside. The shrimp and crawfish grits were tasty, but the crawfish was a bit overcooked and chewy. My husband ordered an omelet with crab, but he didn't like it. It seemed like the omelet had been sitting out for a while, and the crab didn't taste fresh. We also tried the beignets, which were okay for my first time tasting them. Overall, the food was average, and the atmosphere felt very family-friendly, but nothing extraordinary. We might come back to try other dishes in the future.

After my first trip to Lazy Oak back in May, I have to make sure I visit every time! This time I chose it as my birthday weekend brunch spot! The food was delicious as always! The flavors are always on point and you absolutely cannot beat the portions! Our server was lovely and attentive as always and being able to sit outside in December was delightful! The setting is perfect for any occasion! I'll post today's photos below! If you're in Ocean Springs be sure to stop in!

Pancakes- pass on them. Seriously don't do it. They tasted like grease.

I ordered the flavored champagne flight during brunch and specifically asked for very light syrup because the drinks are usually extremely sweet. When the flight came out, it tasted exactly the same as the regular version -- overwhelmingly sweet to the point that I genuinely could not drink it. When I politely mentioned it, the bartender/manager said "that's just how it comes" and initially refused to do anything about it. I sent the flight back and ordered a plain glass of champagne instead. Our server told us she would speak to the manager and have her come talk to us, but apparently the manager refused multiple times because she was "too busy." Eventually, the same flight was brought back out after they said they had poured some out and added more champagne on top. Unfortunately, it was still far too sweet, and I still couldn't drink two of the four glasses. What disappointed me most wasn't even the drinks -- it was the customer service. Mistakes happen, but the dismissive attitude from management and lack of concern made the experience frustrating and uncomfortable. The server also seemed irritated at being caught in the middle rather than interested in resolving the situation. I still tipped 20% because I know serving isn't easy, but after today I honestly don't see myself coming back.

Is it even a proper vacation in Biloxi if you don't give this place a visit for breakfast? The answer is NO !! When your motto is It's never too early to get toasted!! You are talking my language and that's how you start a proper vacation day:) We left Alabama in the wee hours of the morning to get here before they opened. We ordered at 7:04 am . A grapefruit mimosa for me and two Irish coffees for my husband and son. My son pretty much gets the same thing everytime an Arnold . This time it was a West coast Arnold w/ hash brown casserole . He ate it up!! I got the Dragon fruit pancakes 2 pc . Man one pancake was plenty and yes they are as big as the plate. Hubbie got the pork chop breakfast . On the 16th (our leave day) I got the (2)Strawberry Hibiscus Spritz and my son got a Cappuccino cooler. Hubs had to drive back home so he just got a coffee. Hubbie got the chicken and waffles , I got the yolk lovers breakfast with cheese grits ( When you are in the South Grits must be eaten at least one meal of the day) and my son got his Southwest Arnold again lol! My son looked at his mug and said I want one . Yes they sell them for 31.99 eek a bit high for my blood but He bought it himself. He has been using it everyday since We got back home. He said He will probably buy another in July. It's a solid breakfast place and enjoyable if you get here before the crowds.
