The food was so good. I had the red beans and fried chicken. Spouse had the redfish with cheesy Gouda grits and a crab cake. I was really happy with the red beans. It wasn't a soup! One of my biggest pet peeves with restaurant red beans is the soup like consistency. It also didn't try to blow your face off with spices. I would have like more rice with it. The portion was massive and I had to take more than half home. Husband liked his dish but thought the skin should have been crispier. He also felt that the grits were too dense. The server was lovely. Friendly and attentive. The reason they didn't get a five star is because of how incredibly slow they were. We waited a very long time for our food. What a cool upscale restaurant located feet from the beach in Gulfport, Mississippi. Very nice space featuring a huge wine cellar in the center of the restaurant. The host and staff were very great. The restaurant has a very healthy Bourbon and Whiskey selection. So you know I had an old fashion with Angels Envy Bourbon. It was spot on. I had a cup of the chicken and sausage gumbo and a bowl of the crawfish etoufee. The gumbo was very tasty with touch of spice for heat. The etoufee was full of crawfish, not to rich, with a good portion of rice. Two great meals, at a good price. This is a wonderful restaurant in the heart of downtown Gulfport. They have many great restaurants in Mississippi. Please check the website for details on locations, menu, reservations, and etc. I know, I have already did a review of this place. However, that was in Biloxi. This particular restaurant is in the heart of downtown Gulfport area. Actually it is kinda tucked in the corner. But very convenient to many essential government buildings. Actually between the new Gulfport Aquarium and Gulfport downtown post office. Easy access off of highway 49 and easily seen from highway 90. They do have handicap parking. You would think that it is usually in front of the restaurant. But you are baffled that they do not have any? Quite the contrary, I happened to notice that they have plenty parking spots in the front and across the street. The handicap parking is on side of the restaurant behind the Art museum. They offer plenty of parking spots and handicap parking as well. You will also notice that the access ramp is on the side of restaurant. I was wondering how they would access the restaurant since they have front steps. Good to know. We came in the early evening and experience what they have to offer. As you walk in, you are greeted by very friendly staff and great atmosphere with the wine room display behind the hostess booth. They were quick to get us. They asked us if we have reservations. We said no. I highly recommend getting reservations if possible. Especially on the weekends and holidays. In my opinion. Usually they can accommodate you if you are a walk like us. This is not always a guarantee. They asked if we to sit outside or inside. Definitely recommend sitting outside when the weather permits and enjoy the great view of the Jones Park and Gulfport marina. We sat inside, luck out and they sat us by the bar. It was a great seating. A combination table of bench seat on one side and chairs on the other. They both offer excellent padding for both. The bench is a little bit more comfortable than the chair. I would not recommend sitting there for a long time. I forgot to get their names. Usually you expect just one person to wait on you. We were surprised we got two. It was nice to get and ensure that we have an excellent dinning experience. She asked what we like to drink and any appetizers to start. Of course, had to get sweet tea. They do have a great selection of mixed drinks, wine, and beer. Please refer to the menu or just ask. Drink responsibly. We started out with the onion rings. Thick cut onion rings (crispy hand-breaded thick-cut onion rings, served with remoulade sauce) We were not that hungry and wanted something good to eat. We ordered the Shrimp poboy. The shrimp po'boy (Served on french bread, battered and fried gulf shrimp). Round out the dinner experience with crawfish nachos. Bayou crawfish nachos (Crawfish tails, andouille sausage, tasso ham with a spicy cheese sauce, on top of house-made tortilla chips, pico de gallo, fried jalapeños). Our dinner experience was great! They always stopped by to check in on us and ensure our glasses stayed filled. Overall, the food was delicious! Definitely recommend this place! So far, nothing but excellent food and experience at either restaurant on the coast. They offer military discount with valid ID. Stop by if you are in the area and want a great meal! read more

The atmosphere is lovely, the restaurant sits in a gorgeous stone structure that's reminiscent of a vineyard. The staff are attentive and pleasant. The patio is gorgeous. I have eaten here 3 or 4 times over the span of a few years for different occasions and each time had been a delight.the food is amazing, every dish I've had has been impeccable from the chicken to the fish to the steak. I wanted to try some local spots here in Mississippi so I looked up some places and came across this place and had really good reviews. I ordered the shrimp Poboy as well as these nachos. The nachos did come in that separate container and they gave me another container filled with the cheese and crawfish bits. The flavor was all right to be honest, I wouldn't get that again. It wasn't that great the shrimp Poboy was good though so that definitely made up for the other dish all in all I would give it a four out of five. Patio 44 in Hattiesburg was one of my favorite spots. So when I was in Gulfport for a meeting, I decided to try the coast location. She did not disappoint. Our waitress was very helpful in deciding between a few lunch sides. Everyone was polite as you would expect and the restaurant was very nice and clean. The middle room behind the host stand is more for a private party/dinner and the walls are glass with wine racks all throughout. The main bar was HUGE and looked like it would have every option of spirit you could want. We got Fried Pimento balls for a starter. Comes with a pepper sauce for dipping but not a thick consistency. Very good and creamy. For the entree, we got the lunch salmon and lunch blackened catfish. Both very flaky and not lacking on flavor. The Brussels were not my favorite but they weren't gross. I prefer the stem end to be more trimmed so they will be a little more tender; but again, not a big deal just not my preference. I just can't pass up some catfish smothered in Cajun Cream Sauce! My husband ordered the Sweet Hot Pecan Chicken with the pecan sauce on the side. The sauce was sweet but had a little spicy kick at the end. I dipped my dinner rolls in it & made myself a wonderful little dessert. This dish came with garlic mashed potatoes as well. We are had reservations for Valentine's Day at 7pm. We sat for an hour and a half before we got our entrees. After about 20 mins we were offered free bread, and then never received it. Our server avoided us like the plague and only stopped to check on us 2-3 times in the 90 minutes we waited. Maybe 45 mins in they tried to deliver our appetizer again, but no entree still. After an hour and 15, we decided to leave and let our server know. The manager then came over and said our food was on the grill and offered us free dessert, so we decided to stay. Food was ok, not worth that long of a wait. When we asked for the check, the serve ran off before we could ask about the dessert. And then the same thing happened when she grabbed the check again. My husband had to ask her 3 times before she acknowledged us and brought it out. When I complained to the host on our way out, they were super dismissive and basically just said "sorry that happened" and immediately turned to the next customer without furthering the conversation. On our way out, we ran into a group of EIGHT who had their entire table comped, but our $130 worth of food only got us a free dessert we had to beg for. That is such a slap in the face after the night we had. They completely overbooked themselves or were not staffed adequately. This was the worst Valentines experience we have ever had, and the worst restaurant experience we have ever had on the coast read more
