Having shopped here over the years I can say quite a bit about Ryan and his staff. Customer service…read moreis paramount, and that's just the beginning. I was looking for a particular item and they did not carry it, but the woman I spoke to said they would get it ordered for the store and that it would be in within 7-10 days. Since their nationwide competitor had it on the shelf they ordered a case to have it in stock for everyone. Take a moment to think about how impressive that is. Flip the scenario and but a big box retailer in that position. Would they immediately put an item on their next order from a vendor to stock it in the store? Does the store manager even have that power? Or would they be more likely to direct you to their website? Very few of us will ever run into Bezos at the supermarket, so why line his pockets? Almost all of us will run into Ryan and his staff outside of Mocean, either having fun on the trail, or at an event supporting the community. Keep this in mind when shopping.

I was never educated about this and had a costly repair. Jeff called me today to tell me that he was sorry about missing this detail during my purchase. He offered to reimburse me for the repair. Jeff was great on the phone and I'm so grateful for that. Five stars now!! I didn't accept the reimbursement offer, this is a skilled bike shop that will continue to have my business. Brought my bike in for service and they returned it in worse condition than when I brough it in…read more $650 later, the brakes were still rubbing, the new bar tape was left hanging, and the gears were crashing so badly that only 4 out of 10 were usable. When I returned it to complain, they were agressive and tried to blame me and said it was fine when they tested it. Turns out they had installed an 11-cog rear cassette on my 10 speed bike and they (despite their insistence) had never bothered to test it. Unfortunately, this was not the first time they had messed things up, but it will be the last.

We rented from Rideaway to bike the Cape Cod Canal. Had no idea what we were getting into, and…read moremostly made the reservation to mix it up and get in some exercise, but it ended being a highlight of our vacation. The canal bike path is beautiful - peaceful, pristine, and not crowded. It was challenging for us to go the full 13 miles up and back (we aren't experienced cyclists so it took about 2 hours), but we only had to stop a couple times. The staff at Rideaway were very helpful at getting us onto the right size bikes and explaining the route - highly recommend!

I went on the Nauset Marsh High Tide tour with my sister yesterday and we had a great time! We…read morechose this location because it was advertised as being one of his easier paddles, and since we have only been kayaking a couple times (and it's 3 hours) we didn't want to get in over our heads. Johnathan was very very knowledgeable about the area and Cape Cod in general, was able to answer all of my questions about the marsh, and provide interesting talking points and tidbits. We saw several types of wildlife: blue herring, horseshoe crabs, other crabs, clams, egrets, and even a seal in the distance. The paddling itself was not bad at all on this tour; it was very easy to keep up and would be fine for adults of pretty much any activity level, even quasi couch-potato ....your arms will just be a little sore the next morning if you don't really ever use them...like me :) The online booking feature is a real win in my opinion because you can see all the options available at one glance. This is a feature that seemed to be lacking in other Kayaking businesses in the area. My sister commented that she enjoyed this even more than she though she was going to. I will definitely go back again with my husband and do another tour sometime soon.
