As a business owner, I understand the importance of treating customers with respect. I have never…read morebeen more disappointed in my life than I was today with how my family was treated at this establishment. After purchasing coffee and an açaí bowl inside with my wife and 2-year-old daughter, a heavy rainstorm began. Not wanting them to get drenched, I pulled into the side parking lot to pick them up. As I did, the owner--wearing a sour expression--shooed me away as if I were an animal. I asked if I could help him with something, and he (Scott Dario) told me he was the property owner and that I could not park there. I explained that I would be less than 30 seconds, just long enough to safely get my daughter into her car seat. Despite the fact that it was downpouring and I was clearly soaking wet, he aggressively demanded that I leave immediately. He( Scott Dario ) then followed me around the vehicle and continued to escalate the situation. I calmly informed him that I would not leave without my wife and child. He responded by threatening to call the police on me for trespassing. While I loaded the stroller into the car and helped my wife buckle in our daughter, he brought over a friend and they both continued to harass and mock me in front of my family--calling me a "cool guy," saying I should be embarrassed, and even stating, "Good thing your daughter isn't old enough to realize what a jerk you are." He also remarked that he felt bad for my daughter for having a father like me. This was an incredibly disrespectful and humiliating experience. I've been coming here for over 20 years, since I was a child, and had looked forward to continuing that tradition with my own family. I've never been treated so poorly anywhere, let alone by someone claiming to be a business owner. To future customers: be aware that if you pull into the side lot--even momentarily to pick up your family during a rainstorm--you may be confronted, threatened, and publicly shamed by the owner and his friend, as I was, while others are allowed to do the same without issue. Their behavior was not only uncalled for but completely out of line. These individuals should be ashamed of how they treat people. I cannot in good faith recommend anyone support this business. May God help them--they truly need a change of heart.

This adventure was clearly (as advertised online and explained via telephone by Stacey when booking) as a 2 hour sail. No where did it say it was a booze cruise with drinks, snacks and music or a historical sight seeing tour with detailed narration. The people below clearly don't understand how to do research (which took me less than 5 mins)!!! It was a lovely sail on a beautiful catamaran! The captain and first mate were fun, informative and clearly very passionate about sailing! We sat on the very front to the side of the catamaran and got SOAKED which was so fun! If you like adventure and some nice salt water, sit here and bring a change of clothes to leave on the lower deck. There are plenty of lovely seat where you will not get wet, just ask the captain and first mate where to sit if you're not sure! All in, we were very pleased with our sail and would (and will) 100% use Mad Max adventures again! Thank you!!!!

She then had the audacity in her words to say "I don't think you can afford that type of cruise." Really? Do you know anything about us and to insinuate that we can't afford it? How about this: F You. I would expect an outfit like this to want the business. Oh well, hope you're so busy that you can turn business down, or with that attitude, you'll go the way of the previous sailing outfits on the Vineyard: Sunk.
