How have I never heard of this place?! Shame on me because I'm a foodie and have a massive sweet tooth. Came here because of RI Food Fights and I'm so thankful. Every dessert looked delicious and the free cupcake I got was her PB&J. This thing was massive and definitely the biggest cupcake I've ever had. The cake itself was very moist after bringing it to room temperature and the frosting was incredible with a perfect amount of peanut butter flavor. Marti was so sweet and kind! I tried out a lot of cupcakes in RI for the RI Food Fights challenge, and this was by far the best. The lady working the counter said that the shop rotates between 92 flavor options, and they were all beautiful!! The cupcake itself was large, but the icing was what put it over the edge for me. My husband became intrigued with an app: Too Good To Go. He announced that he could buy a mystery box from Marti's for $5. The app is for local food establishments who are looking to make a profit on extra food at the end of the day and not wasting at the same time! 1. I had never heard of Marti's and it's in my hometown so I then became interested 2. I love bakery items 3. I love a mystery We bought the $5 box on a Saturday for a Sunday 12:30pm pickup. Easy pick up. And the surprise became a you choose situation. Whatever was left my husband was allowed to pick 4 cupcakes to take home. My thoughts on the cupcakes- first an foremost a lot of inconsistency here. The shapes are off for a 'professional' cupcake shop. I do like the mystery creams inside. I did find they were not as soft as they should be and I don't think it's because they were just a few hours old but maybe cooked longer than they should be. The frosting was tasty. The cupcakes here are fantastic. Prices are very reasonable. I ordered two dozen cupcakes for my daughter's birthday and they were awesome! The cupcakes in the case are huge and so good, definitely big enough to share! (The ones I ordered by the dozen were normal cupcake size, better for a party, imo.) I've used Marti's for several occasions. Both cupcakes and cakes. Spot on every time. The most recent was for my in-laws 75th wedding anniversary and no that's not a typo they've been married for 75 years! Yesterday we had a lemon cake with raspberry filling. It looked beautiful and it tasted amazing. Her prices are extremely reasonable and she is a lovely and extremely creative woman. What a pleasant surprise! I found Marti's via the To Good To Go app a few months ago and have been back several times. Its a cute little shop and the staff is really friendly and helpful. I LOVED the variety and different flavors she offers and one cup cake as as good, or better than the next. I brought some to a friend's house and they really enjoyed them and have since gone over there to get more. I loved her maple eggo flavored cup cake. I cant remember the exact name , but it tastes just like a waffle with butter and maple syrup. The cupcakes were moist and fresh, and the fillings and decorations were nice as well. I loved the cupcakes from here when it was Diva's but the Heath Bar cupcake I had was a bit crusty which to me means it has been in the refrigerated case too long. The taste was good it split in half because the icing on the top was too heavy. I can see giving them another chance but would hope for a fresher cupcake next time. read more

This use to be my favorite spot to stop for a sweet treat or birthday cupcake for a friend. Since changing owners and from Divas to Martis this place has drastically gone down hill. The cupcakes now are typically dry and vary in sizes. This has become very unreliable business, the hours posted are always changing for various personal issues or reasons of the owner.
