I was able to get my refund this year after the IRS only tried to give me a small portion. Tax Box Refund was able to assist me in calling to fix the paper work that the IRS needed. It does costs around $500- $1000 to file with them so consider that when filing but know that you're in great hands. When I first walked in, Chuck, the owner, came off as very confident and reassuring. He made it seem like I was in good hands and promised a solid return. Unfortunately, that was nothing more than a front. After filing, I was told everything was processed and I'd be receiving both my federal and state tax returns. Weeks passed, and I received only the federal portion. The state refund never came. I tried calling multiple times--no answer. I stopped by the office several times--Chuck was never there. His staff was incredibly unhelpful, always giving me vague answers like, "We're not sure when he'll be back," or "You'll have to speak to Chuck about that." But Chuck was nowhere to be found and made absolutely no effort to return calls or follow up. At this point, it's clear to me this business is running a scam. Once they get what they want from you, they ghost you completely. There's no accountability, no transparency, and definitely no professionalism. It's unacceptable, and I'm shocked this place is still operating. Avoid TaxBox Refund at all costs. Don't let Chuck's fake charm fool you--he is not trustworthy, and this business is not legitimate. You deserve better than to be lied to, ignored, and left chasing your own money.
