I went here today for an exam, took in copies of my exrays and the dentist seemed to be very confused I told him I wanted another opinion because previous dentist have not done my dental work correctly, resulting in me losing teeth. The dr didn't finish the exam and said he's going to pass on working on my mouth. A complete waste of time, I told him I'd pay to get exrays at his office if that would help, he still passed on me. Dr. Martin Wong and Wong Family Dentistry are fantastic! I needed a dentist badly and suffered in need of a tooth extraction and with gum disease for 2 weeks as I looked for someone I could trust. I recently lost my job and really needed help. Fortunately, I found great dentists in "Wong Family Dentistry" and know I have to keep them. He booked me as an emergency appointment and I needed it. The dentist (Martin) was outstanding. His demeanor was calm and comforting allowing me to relax a bit. He was detailed as he explained everything I needed to know up front. He was patient and answered all of my fearful and curious questions. I felt zero pain and was very impressed that he clearly kept an eye on my reactions to avoided any discomfort. He took his time and was kind. As I sat in his chair I no longer worried and fell into a state of comfort and trust. I felt respected and was given outstanding care. I love these dentists! Maybe I am a little biased because I grew up with their kids, and I know their family... but I highly recommend them. They are so friendly and very kind when it comes to my pearly whites. This dentistry is definitely a family business and considers their customers to be a part of that family. Whenever I call in to schedule an appointment, the receptionist never has to ask me to spell my last name. That is a plus in my book! And that is because my last name is a little annoying to spell. They also ask which dentist I prefer, which is nice, but I honestly don't mind either. They are both great. I usually pick the one that is available the day I am free. I am one of those people that like to come early when it comes to appointments. There was one time I came at least thirty minutes early and Dr. Wong brought me in and updated my x-rays to kill some time. I personally hate cleanings because flossing is something I definitely need to do more often, but after that horrible part, I feel a lot better when they tell me I don't have any cavities. After your appointment, they send you off with a little goodie bag filled with a toothbrush, toothpaste, mouthwash and of course... floss. Just a heads up! Their office is located on the second or third floor -- I can't quite remember. But I definitely recommend to take the stairs. The elevator in that building is not trustworthy and it is very, very, very slow. Oh! And parking can be a bit of a hassle sometimes. So be prepared! read more

I look at how the clean and sterile areas look when I walk in. Sterility of dental instruments is of prime importance to me! After breaking a crown and getting an infection, I was desperately looking for a dentist in my area to help alleviate the pain. I found Dr. Wong on Yelp and after calling several other dentists, he was the only one that was available the same day and was affordable for me as I currently do not have dental insurance. They were very professional, knowledgeable and friendly through the whole process. They took x-rays, recommended extracting the tooth and set up an appointment for the next day. The extraction went by smoothly and even though Dr. Wong had to do a bit of surgery to get it all out, he only charged me for a simple extraction. It was probably the best dentist experience I have ever had. I highly recommend Dr. Wong for anyone who is looking for great services at competitive prices. I've been a patient since the early 90s (maybe at 6 years old?). I'm 36 years old now and still go to this dentist. Fantastic service. No aggressive upsell. Clean my teeth twice a year and I'm good. Several years ago, I moved to Sacramento and tried a new dentist. That was a mistake. I vowed never to do that again and always travel the 70+ miles to get my dental cleaning from Dr. Martin Wong (or his brother). Even when my (old) work dental insurance didn't cover Dr. Wong's service, I opted to pay the cleaning fee out-of-pocket, instead of using the insurance to go to another dentist. My current workplace has insurance that covers Dr. Wong's place, so I'm all good now. Long story short - highly recommended. read more

Dr. Martin Wong has been my dentist for the past 10 years. I went to his office after seeing another dentist who advised me that I needed a root canal and crown on my tooth. The other dentist gave me 2 options, either do the root canal and crown or have the tooth pulled!! Not very good options. I went in to see Dr Martin for a second opinion. He said that he would try to save my tooth from the root canal or removal. He said that he couldn't guarantee that I wouldn't need a root canal in the future, but he would try his best. It's been 10 years and I still have my tooth and it's doing fine!! I am so happy to have Dr Martin as my dentist and would recommend him to anyone. read more

He's the type of dentist who truly cares about his patients. He's "old school" where he takes time to ask how you're doing, how's your family. Not like today's factory-run dentist. Only interested in inflating your treatment plan to use every cent before next years "refill." When Dr Marty discusses treatment plans, it's not about the cost. Like you have to get this done now, or you'll regret-it-scare-tactic. Although, I've moved further inland. He's still worth the drive. My husband and I have been patients of Dr. Steve and Dr. Martin Wong for over 20 years. We retired and in 2001 we moved to Redding Ca. One thing we did not leave behind was our dentist.. Although the trip to the office is 3 hours away we won't go anywhere else for our dental needs. They are kind, caring and in tune to all our needs. They are also affordable. In my younger years I had terrible experiences with the dentists which caused a life long fear of dentists. That changed when we started with the Wong brothers. I no longer have the white knuckle reaction to the dentist chair. Another plus I have noticed is the reaction of the children who come for appointments. I have never heard one of them upset and they always seem to walk out happy with their new balloon. Both Dr's are younger than me so they have my husband and myself as patients forever. My old dentist retired and it's been about 4 years since my last visit. I have total dentistphobia and I tend to really stress when it comes to going to the dentist so the task of finding a new one was huge. I tried two other highly recommended dentists on Yelp but we just didn't hit it off. Then I called Dr Wong's office and it was the first place that did not ask me about the money nor the insurance. I told them my case and they were so nice that I made a consultation with Dr Wong. Dr Wong is amazing, he's so calm that he emits this tranquility and I immediately felt calm and not so stressed. I have a small mouth and he's very gentile, thoughtful and informative. Every one of his staff is sweet, very nice and supportive! I liked them so much I made an appointment that afternoon (I was lucky there was a cancellation) to get my teeth cleaned with Connie. These people are so nice, she never made me feel bad that I didn't floss my teeth very much nor that I waited so long... Dr Wong gave me his treatment plan and even though one of my tooth is loose, he thinks we can save it and not pull it like the others thought. Honestly I like that idea much better! I don't have insurance and I pay for all of my dental work. Dr Wong's office is very affordable and offer several options, they are more than willing to work with you. I was so impressed that I just had a root canal done this morning, I did the nitrous and it was pretty much a breeze! For me Dr Wong will be my dentist forever, I actually asked him if he had plans on retiring any time soon since I don't want to have to do this again!! I don't think I'll ever be that stressed out about going to the dentist ever again with Dr Wong and his staff! read more

We love him so much , that even though we moved to Clovis Ca (31/2 hours away ) we continue to go to the Bay Area for our dental needs. Dr. Martin even does his own teeth cleaning which I like. He is very gentle and his costs are very reasonable. He gave me a novacane shot and it was over before I knew I had it. I didn't even feel it.
