I called Martin Electric on a Friday morning after finding out the light in my main bathroom isn't turning on and some outlets in my 2nd bedroom stopped working. After doing some troubleshooting and some googling, I've realized it was my GFCI outlet tripping. I went on Yelp (ofcourse) to find an electrician that is available to come in and also reasonable price. I called 3 businesses and Martin was the one who can come in and sounded nice on the phone. The scheduling was also very seamless. At the day of the appointment, Martin and his associate came on time! They were very polite and pleasant. I showed them the outlets that were tripping and explained what was happening. After about 30ish minutes - Martin and his associate finished fixing the problem. He explained to me what was wrong and how he fixed it. We tried the lights and outlets and everything works!! Martin also offered that if anything comes up again to give him a call - which was very generous! I super recommend Martin because he's knowledgeable, pleasant and the price is very reasonable. I was so excited to find him on Yelp after literally every handy man in my life bailed on me and all the handy-persons on Yelp said they don't do the sort of job I was looking for. Anthony was ridiculously nice and honestly just nice to hang with in my apartment for a few hours (and I never say that about anyone but my cat). He was chill, didn't make awkward conversation, didn't judge my nutso handyman request or that my apartment was anything but orderly or even that I totally did not even have close to enough of the supplies I needed for the job I was requesting. He might just be the most personable and patient man on the planet. What I wanted was someone to put some temporary wallpaper up. I felt that doing it correctly was not a talent that I possess... turns out, figuring out how much wallpaper I needed is also not a talent of mine. I had nowhere close to enough but Anthony did what he could, never made me feel dumb, and gave me a real break on the hourly fees because I think he felt bad for me. Anthony in Martin Electric was great in repairing my existing whole house fan and helping to install an additional fan in the attic of my house. He is honest. Originally I asked Anthony to replace the existing whole house fan because it was making metal to metal loud noises before it stopped working, thinking it was broken. However when he arrived to install the new fan, he was able to repair the existing fan and told me that the fan still in good condition and didn't need to be replaced. He reviewed with me my options and the benefits of installing another fan to extract the hot air directly out of the attic would help reduce the hot air trap on the top/ceiling of the living areas below which would help cool off the living areas. I had Anthony come to my house to install a dimmer switch. With quick work Anthony installed the switch, but then we discovered that my ceiling fan in another room did not respond to the remote. Anthony took a look at the ceiling fan and found that the receiver had stopped working. He came back the next day and installed a new receiver and got my ceiling fan working again. I called on Monday and he came out Tuesday. Anthony is very pleasant and is accommodating to work with my schedule. He wore an actual mask (not a neck scarf), and he took his shoes off. read more

Finally an electrician I can trust. I contacted Anthony and scheduled an appointment. He was very communicative and even has an SMS system that calls you to confirm your appointment. When I arrived home we discussed the scope of work and everything was very reasonable. His assistant Lea (spelling) was very friendly and it was great to have someone who really knew what they were doing. I had a major electrical rewiring job done which required some new conduit, new wires, new circuit breaker and he was able to go out and get the parts and work into the night with headlamps on (gets dark early) and test it all out. I had to leave the house and asked them to lock the gate when they left and text me just so I knew it was done. Around an hour later I received the text and came home to find it all working great. Today, I received a follow up call from Lea just checking on things to make sure everything was still working as expected. Great customer service! I hope they always keep the customer service going as that was a major part of my satisfaction. Great communication, reasonable costs with discussion before any money is spent, and good followup. A tree fell on our Powerline knocking out power to our house and damaging our weather mast. Anthony was there the night we called working into the evening to do the necessary repairs so PGE could do to hook up. When he saw that we would be without power quarantining with a cOVID positive 4 year old He offered to install a generator hook up and loaned us a generator for the week which was truly a lifesaver. Our electricity went out on a Thursday night. After some initial inspection we found that we lot power only to a portion of the house and unfortunately it included some of our major appliances like heat, and refrigeration. The next morning we called Liberty Beyond and a few others but Anthony gave use the most reasonable quote. He gave me a time to come out to the house and was on time. Secondly he did a quick inspection and found that its probably not an issue in the house and asked me to call PGE. PGE as came out and said that it's not their equipment that was faulty. Anthony was quite generous and told me that if PGE say its not their problem he can come out again to check on things with no extra charge. And that is exactly what he did the following morning. He fixed it but was not convinced that he had found the root cause. He went investigating some more and found the real issue.
