My son had a football game here last Friday. I began feeling low and needed to go to my car to check my blood sugar. The two ladies at the gate let me know that there was no re-entry. I explained to them that I have type 1 diabetes and the whole situation that comes with it. These women looked me in the eye and told me that the only way I was getting back into the game was to buy another ticket. I have never been so disgusted in my life. Amazing staff is great! They welcomed us with open arms the juniors & seniors were great showing freshman where everything is such a huge school you can get over whelmed but they all made it so easy very welcoming! well organized restrooms are well kept,ive been there a few times and its always well kept & clean! Kids are well mannered! When i passed a student they would say hello or welcome! And staff very polite,and would smile when you pass them and asked if I needed help finding a certain area! Kids didnt seem rowdy like a few schools I've seen! Over all feels safe to be here with these students & staff thank god! On their 1st day till today my daughter was scared! A new school and all; its to be expected but now! Not at all if anything shes made so many new friends including upperclassmen! So welcoming she was excited to tell me how many kids are so nice help her in anything she had questions on! She loves it! So many programs for kids! Amazing classes! Theyll be ready for college in no time! her teachers have been amazing! Very informative school is so involved with the students and it shows! Of course kids have to do their part ! That's a given but we all have to work together that's the plan! My daughteris in Marching band they travel alot! Lol They've won so many comps! they have fun! It hasn't been a whole yr and shes already made so many friends and she's in amazing clubs at school shes excited were excited and her grades show!! Great students, staff, and community! There are excellent academic and athletic programs to get involved in. King high remembers is phenomenal! The visual and performing arts, engineering/CTE, ROTC, ASB, sports medicine, and other programs are terrific. What a great campus! GO WOLVES!!! read more

the teachers here are good but the satff who are in charge of suspending student are kind of not good at it they believe everything and do not have a fair system. for student who didn't do anything wrong . I went to the school and I just don't recommend at all unless their policies get better. read more

Not only does this school have a bad reputation but you can see why bomb threats school shootings. Feels like Ohio but in a school. There agenda is go to college get a good job become in debt at a young age. They say they care for your mental health and call somebody if you need help but they put stress on students by giving them 15 damn assignments just for one class. They literally want you to become an employee. They don't teach you how to think for yourselves they don't teach you how to sell. They don't teach you how to negotiate. They don't teach you how to manage time. They don't teach you how to invent money. They don't teach you how to find your passion. They don't teach you how to handle money and they sure as hell not teach you how to make an impact. read more

It sucks. Even for a school. Way overcrowded and the campus is way too big for anyone to be able to navigate it.

When someone is legitimately being bullied and it is reported numerous times NOTHING is done about it. If I didn't have thick skin while going here I would have been in trouble. I was picked on by the boys baseball team my whole senior year and reports it 3 times, wrote multiple statements on the incidents and even personally spoke to the principle and baseball coach. I graduated a few years ago, but my younger siblings just started attending king and I am so worried for them. I will raise hell if they start having issues with students and staff and nothing is done about it. read more

I'm trying to transfer my child to this school and so far I'm not impressed! It has a 9/10 on Ca distinguished schools however their administration team severely lacks in being professional or doing their job . I have been in Redlands prior and I have to say that's school district was much better equipped . I hope that this is no indication of the teaching standards . read more

Not a school I recommend. One of my problems I had with this school were the bathrooms, they never clean them nor do they care for students safety. My main issue also is that the school does nothing to fix classrooms such as doors, roof tiles, sinks in bathrooms, toilets, etc. This school is just an absolute mess that needs some serious work. read more

Just went to the King spring show and the kids were awesome my problem was the cheer instructor oh lord she was a joke. Unprofessional as far as music playing on time or stopping, making the kids stop an start again when she got her phone working for their songs, rolling mats then unrolling them, to many mats and so on wasting time just not very good in my opinion, the music for some of their cheer routines was more like auditions for a dance show , mascots dancing anyways the instructor was not the best sorry King you could do so much better by checking to make sure your instructor does not have complaints I heard there were many over the past 4 yrs and nothing was done read more

I wish I never went here and I don't reccomend it. The staff in the office are rude, and never do anything. The bathrooms are always gross and unsafe. In fact the whole campus is unsafe. I was at school when we had the bomb threat and a shooting threat right after. So much has happened. Everyone is on drugs or smokes or drinks. It really went and is still going downhill through the years. It's not even a fun eventful school to make up for it..... sad. read more

Came here for a color guard comp a few weeks ago.. This is a nice school with plenty of space.. it was clean and everyone at the event was nice.. its in walking distance to a couple of eateries, convenience stores and gas station. read more

After spending my high school years at this school, I can't help but feel that I need to warn people to not fall for the reputation that King is the best school in Riverside. Traffic is TERRIBLE in the mornings, and administration doesn't seem to care at all. They gladly round up students like cattle and make them wait in long lines to get tardy passes to class. This is a waste on class time. In addition, the campus lacks shaded areas and places to sit and eat for students during lunch. Students are left to eat on the ground, in classrooms, or in the hallways. They recently banned the deliveries of outside food, no matter if it comes from your parents or via delivery. It's almost as if the lunches here are edible (they are terrible). ASB is a whole other issue with this school. The grandfather system is alive and well here (If your sibling was in ASB, you can be to!) Rather than devote time and resources into planning an actual Grad Night for seniors, they gladly waste money on stupid things like yard signs and pompoms that nobody cares about. And they claim that it's a money issue. Overall, I'm extremely disappointed with my experience at this school. I would much rather have gone to Poly and had an actual high school experience, not some cut rate, glorified popularity contest. read more
