Best team and Doctor. First time hearing the doctors name, I thought he said Dr. Strawberry (might as well be, he's super sweet like one). His team is fantastic; Jonathan at the front desk is always a joy and has a smile on his face, very personable. Michaela is the bees-knees totally nourishing, caring and delivers. Ian and Jonathan are super friendly and funny. Our relationship started many months ago when my daughter hurt her knee during soccer. We were finally referred to an orthopedist and we were lucky enough to meet Dr. Stauber. He started slowly not wanting to jump in and just diagnose her, instead he was cautious and allowed us to get comfortable with the thought of having surgery. Stauber has really good bedside manner at the hospital and every appt thereafter. We continue to see him for follow ups. I highly recommend this office. This review is several years late but Dr. Stauber was amazing in fixing my torn achilles. I was back to being active in 6 months and made a 100% recovery. Had such a great experience that when a friend of mine tore his achilles, I sent him to Doc Stauber. He also had a great experience and had a full recovery much quicker than most. I've seen others with the same surgery have less than a full recovery so I'm truly great full. He also fixed my dads knee and brothers hip. I highly recommend him. read more

So, my right knee is really bad. *insert your filthy remark here* It's been crazy because I have been pushing the initial visit to see an ortho doc for years. Why, you ask? I don't know. Aren't you in pain? Yes. I've known that I needed an MRI for awhile but I just haven't put forth the effort to do something about it. Well, this past week, I did. And it's been BOOM, BOOM, BOOM! I called last Thursday on a whim. I figured they would schedule me an appointment two Tuesdays from next in 2011. You know how that goes. Well, Linda, the super nice receptionist asks, "Can you come in today?" Ummmmmmmmm... sure! I get down there and fill out the bazillion forms you have to fill out for every doc. They put me into a room and within a few minutes Dr. Stauber comes in, introduces himself, and gets to the questioning. He feels my knee, listens to it, manhandles it a bit and concludes that I need an MRI. Yup! Then he starts measuring a bit and says my left leg is a bit shorter than my right and that could also be causing pain to my right knee. As a quick fix until I go to the MRI and he can figure out what's going on, he gives me a heel cup to wear in my left shoe. He asks where I live and concludes that I'm going to go get an MRI in Fullerton. Dr. Stauber explains that they are going to contact the imaging place and they will contact me. Sweet. Besides being extremely comforting and explaining everything going on in my knee, his office is very nice and he is up on the technology. I noticed that all of the papers I had filled out had been scanned and were on a portable clip board he was carrying. Way cool! read more

Doctor noticed lack of ROM in my broken foot, but did not recommend to nursing staff to prop it up during casting. Ended up with a cast that was very difficult to walk with. This was my first time getting a cast, else I would have realized the problem and said something. They were not helpful with getting it fixed. Front receptionist Jon was very good though. read more

Terrible place.. go there only if you enjoy being ignored, overcharged and having nobody answer the phone or perform follow-up services regarding any and all services a real Orthopedic performs. This place is a bad joke. Do NOT allow them to waste your time. read more

I went under the knife with Dr. Stauber in 2009, and had ACL/ partial MCL reconstruction. So far it's holding up pretty well! Dr. Stauber is friendly, patient, articulate, savvy,and professional. He always explains the situation well and prescribes appropriate solutions, especially on his slick electronic clipboard. Plus, he is fluent in English... a quality I didn't find in some other surgeons! The secretary and nurses are friendly and helpful, and they don't keep you too long in the waiting room. Their office is quite clean and modern. Prices are also reasonable (with insurance). read more

Dr. Stauber has been my ortho Doctor for 10 years now . I've had multiple surgeries stemming from a fractured leg and he has gone above and beyond to help me in any way he can. His staff is friendly and professional and is competent in every aspect . Dr and staff only want to book surgeries, do not fully explain non-surgical alternatives and really felt like we're only in it for the money. Finally after being pressed about why non-surgical rememdies are not being explored first, the only non-surgical remedy they offered was the go on a Canadian drug website and order an injection for $400 out of pocket, and I have insurance! Blue Cross Blue Shield refused to cover injection due to lack of medical proof that it even works. Front staff also was very rude, when Blue Cross requested they send over medical proof and they would approve injection. Saw another orthopedic surgeon who talked me out of surgery, gave me a referral for physical therapy, and 5 weeks later I'm back playing on the soccer field! Dr Stauber said I needed two surgeries and should probably stop playing soccer completely. SURGERY SHOULD BE THE LAST STEP, NOT THE FIRST. VERY DISSAPOINTED IN THE LEVEL OF CARE. read more

The only reason I have given two stars was because of the front receptionist, who was wonderful. I have been having extreme pain my muscles associated with my neck and scapula, Dr. Stauber started with an mri of shoulder and when nothing was found he said to start physical therapy before we would move on to a neck MRI. Had the doctor felt the effected area he would have noticed the constant spasms occurring. Instead I had to endure 3 painful weeks of PT until I couldn't take it anymore. Mind you the only thing he will prescribe to help with muscles is robaxin, which for me did nothing in 3 weeks. After calling to see if we could try something else to see if my body responded better, the answer was that is all that is prescribed. I'm not a doctor but I'm pretty sure not everyone has the same body chemistry and not every individual will respond the same to 1 medication. I couldn't take the excruciating PT any longer and went in to get the info for the urgent care ortho office. The receptionist got the doctor to order an MRI of the neck and stenosis was found. Granted I have been in extreme pain this whole time and 3 days after the MRI was done the assistant said to go to a spine doctor. ( I had gotten the results the very next day on my own) I just feel that he wasted my time for over a month with no help in the meantime, as far as pain management, until we found out what types of treatment could be offered. I would not refer him to anybody. read more

Dr. Stauber has provided quality care to me for over 20 years as I have been dinged up playing ice hockey over the years. He has treated my wife for carpal tunnell and a bum knee. He has treated my daughter for broken bones, sprained ligaments and an assortment of soccer injuries. Marty is the best. Hands down. Best Dr that I have seen for my shoulder and ankle. I recently hurt my back in a lifting situation. Dr Stauber helped me though PT and then sent me for an MRI. They discovered 3 bluging disc. Now i will visit a spine specialist. Dr Stauber and his staff took the best care of me. I suggest you visit him, if you want excellent care. read more
