I couldn't pass up the recent Groupon to Martini Nails... $35 for a mani/pedi. It was easy to make an appointment, as they have something like 30 pedi chairs, plus separate rooms. Overall the space is pretty gargantuan. Unfortunately what Martini seems to be lacking is the staff to accommodate such a large nail shop. On Sunday when we were there, they seemed understaffed, because my pedicurist seemed in a rush (more than I would anticipate). I expect a certain amount of rush from shops like this because this is what I would liken to the fast food of nail service. Kind of like a buffet versus a sit down dinner. Everything's technically the same, but it's more about the end result (getting full) than the process (ordering, savoring, etc). For those that don't care for food metaphors, my favorite kind, I'd also describe it as the Walmart of clothes shopping versus a boutique. I'd also never had someone squeeze orange slices on my arms and legs before. That, and the fact that he barely massaged my feet/hands at all in lieu of the arm/leg action was also a little strange. Typically I don't do manicures anyway, since I'm exceptionally hard on my hands, and after paying in excess of $80 for two people, I felt that I would have been much more satisfied paying an additional $20 and getting a fantastic pedicure only. One where they realy emphasize the care in what they're doing... I want to leave a pedicure feeling relaxed and refreshed, not just satisfied that I got my nails painted. I realize that I'm kind of weird and picky about pedicures, and for many people if you're used to going to the strip mall pedicure shops, this one probably blows them all out of the water. It was clean, the staff were attentive, they have reasonable prices, and most importantly, it had good ventilation. I won't be going back, but I'm willing to bet they'll do a healthy business in this location. Originally I rated at three stars, but in hindsight I can't say I'd recommend it to anyone, so I've settled on two. read more

This nail salon is the top dog of the nail salons I've been to! We meandered on in here after eating lunch at pepperjax grill because we heard that they have chairs for little girlies. And being the Yelpy lover that I am, I suggested we try this place, so my niece can come here to get a pedicure one day. Well, when I walked in I instantly knew they are really trying to make getting your nails done a beautiful experience! The chairs are nice and the tubs you put your feet in are just beautiful!! They are different colors of clear plastic or glass tubs! This place can accommodate a good number of customers, hopefully they would also have the staff to do so as well. The manicure area is separate from the pedicures in a long room to the left, there's also a private room for parties or women who want more privacy. They have an array of different pedicure & manicure options. We chose the hot stone massage with sugar scrub. This was just wonderful! They use hot stones to massage your leg and they place small stones in between your toes! Now this sugar scrub and hot stone massage was in addition to the hot towel rub and mint scrub. It was just an awesome experience! I would absolutely recommend this place if you have a little girl in your family who wants to get her toes done, the little girl chairs even have a butterfly on the back of the seat! So adorable! My boyfriend and I came out for pedicures. My pedicure was great; really enjoyed the massage and extra add ons of the lemon drop option. Upon completion, My nails looked okay, some spots were missed and the polish was smudged. For $40 (without tip) I expected them to look pretty great. My boyfriend had a mani/pedi high roller option. He seemed to enjoy the experience. The service was okay and we were generally satisfied but the two techs doing my boyfriends mani/pedi literally spoke to each other in casual conversation for nearly the entire hour we were there. We were both looking for relaxation and it was hard to do with the two talking to each other & laughing the entire time. We were also rushed to pay and leave. This nail salon is pretty nice. I am a super nail snob so it's hard to give anyone 5 stars. The girl doing my nails took her time and was really generous with massage. I got a gel manicure and a gel pedicure. My pedicure looks great! But my nails are peeling already and the gel is a little thick. Overall not bad but not good either. I would defined go back if I was in a hurry but I just feel the finish product was not so neat...again I am crazy about the finish of my nails, especially when you pay $80. If the edges were a little cleaner and the application not so thick I think it would be ok. Overall I would return and have my nails done here. I have had issues with this location in the past, but still tried to give the benefit of the doubt after I finally found the ONE nail tech in there that could do exactly what I ask. This was my first visit in a long time & it will be my last. I paid $88 + tip for me to end up having to fix my nails myself when I could finally examine them in a better light. In salon, I thought they looked ok enough that I could get over it. But when I got in my car I was taken aback by how awful they actually looked. Ok so I used to love this place but it has gone downhill the last couple of years. They rush everything so much now that every single time I've been in the last few months--I have issues within a week or so. Even though I get shellac -- my pedicures haven't been fully cured and so the polish gets "scrunched" even though I ask them to let it go a full cycle under the lamp. My full set this last time had a nail pop off within 10 days (their receipt only goes 7 days from time of service) and the polish has chipped on 2 of them already (also shellac). I never had any of these issues before and used to joke that it would take a bomb to ruin these. I sadly can't say the same any longer and will likely be finding somewhere new to go. :( I can 100% say though that it has felt SOOOO RUSHED the last 3 months I've been in. Very sad. read more

Holy cow. This was one of the best pedicures I've ever had. My 4 friends and I came here after brunch on Sunday, and we were all able to get in within a matter of minutes. I got the Lemon Drop pedicure, which included a paraffin wax dip and lemon scrub. My legs and feet are so relaxed that I'm afraid to get up and walk (I'm actually stalling by writing this review). And it was only $40! My nail tech's name was Tim. I would highly recommend anyone looking for a relaxing Sunday to check this place out. And bonus! Ok, I technically did not get my nails done here. But we went inside. Apparently this is the place to be. Because it was PACKED! Complete with a one hour wait time. My friend has been before and told me they give you a Martini while receiving your nail service. However, it was worth noting that the customer service was stellar and the facility was nice, what I saw of it. I can't wait to visit Omaha again and get my nails done here! I first heard about Martini when I received the ValuePak coupons in the mail. Then, I saw that it was voted "Best of Omaha", so I decided to go there for a mani/pedi. I opted for a Opi Axxium mani (gel polish that lasts about 2 weeks), and a basic pedi. The place is very clean and they have a ton of pedi stations (at least 15), and a couple of them were pink and girly for kids. The girl at the front desk was very unanimated; she was pretty much sleeping with her eyes open. I was told to pick out my colors and take a seat, and was offered water or a variety of pop. I liked the lady doing my nails, she seemed very meticulous. As she was trimming and buffing my nails, another girl came up and started yapping away, and painted my toe nails in like 3 minutes. A man kept walking around and stopping to chat and bother the lady, and it was all really annoying. A mani/pedi is supposed to be a relaxing experience, not spent with a constant flow of Vietnamese piercing your ear drums. When I went to pay, and the man said I owed him $45. I showed my coupon for either $7 off a pedi, or $5 off a $35+ service. The man was confused, quickly said that my total was actually $52, but he took $7 off for the pedi. Then he looked at the coupon closer, but said that the $7 off did not apply to a basic pedicure. But I pointed to the $5 off coupon, and he said "Okay, $40"... so I don't know what he meant when he said "$52" earlier... whatever. $40 is pretty cheap for a gel mani AND a pedi, so I wasn't torn up about it. I don't know that I would go back. It's cheap and clean, but the service was sub par and I'm not entirely happy with my manicure - even though my lady was meticulous, the gel polish seemed to have bled outside of my nails and some of them look a little messy. read more

I have been here before and had great service & been highly pleased. Yesterday I went for a pedi and am not so pleased. Holly 's tools ( nail clippers, cuticle pushers, etc) came from her carry all not an autoclave bag and she kept dipping them in my foot bath. She was very rough and gripped my toes tightly even after I explained (twice) I had a steel rod in toe that noes not allow it to bend. This has never been an issue any where else.She was too rough. Holly cut the cuticle on my big toe causing it to bleed and said nothing! Call me silly but I do believe cutting a customer should at least be acknowledged. Do yourself a favor and NEVER get your nails done here. I got a major infection in my toenail after getting a pedicure here and just had to have my toenail removed. Not only is it incredibly painful and ugly, but I cannot wear the shoes I had planned to wear for my upcoming engagement photos. The prices are reasonable and the services themselves are fine, but the atmosphere and attitudes of the workers make it a very tense experience. The entire time my friend and I were getting pedicures, our technicians were badmouthing another worker, snapping at her when she walked by, and shooting each other dirty looks. It was very uncomfortable and the opposite of the relaxing experience that we were expecting. I teach at a high school and was shocked to witness these adults acting more immature than my students. Besides their behavior toward each other, our technicians were very snippy towards us as well, barking orders left and right. Once my technician was visibly angry and rude to me when I didn't hear him ask me to pick my foot up, since I was having my own conversation just as he had been. After our pedicures they gave us a receipt, an actual attempt at a smile, and no instructions of where we could put our still-wet polish under a fan. We had to waddle around and ask ourselves. With a different technician, this place is great: nice facilities and decent prices. However, I think I'll be looking for a different place for next time. read more

I debated slightly whether I should give this 2 or 3 stars and decided on 2 because there are just so many places to get mani/pedi's and I just can't recommend this place. I went in because I had a coupon although I realized when I got there the coupon wasn't that great. $25 for a pedicure that is normally $28. I went during the day and there was plenty of room. They have more chairs then I have ever seen in any nail salon. The lady that did my pedicure was very unfriendly and acted as if I was bothering her. Um, is it your job? Whatever, give me a magazine and a massage chair and I am a happy camper. She did a decent job although she rushed through everything and the leg "massage" was nothing close to that. I think she patted my leg twice. When she was finished she motioned to the drying area, no words. I waited for my toes to dry and got out of there. I think all in all the pedicure took less than 20 minutes, including drying time. Overall, I guess I got what I came for although the experience was not the best. Walked in to get a shellac manicure. No problem! I was placed in AJ's chair and I got one of the best manicures I've ever gotten. Friendly conversation coupled with quick efficiency made this an absolutely perfect combination. I don't like to dawdle, so if you're like me and want to be in and out to get on with things, see AJ. The whole process, including a short hand massage took less than an hour and I'm pleased as punch! The price is also righteous and allowed me to leave a fat tip. I called earlier that moring and was informed they didn't take reservations; strangely the woman in front of me in line had an appointment. She massaged my left leg then left to grab the hot towels. When she started to wrap both legs I tried over and over to tell her she didn't massage my right leg. I am so disappointed! My normal nail tech was busy and i was going on vacation so wanted to have my acrylics done. I never got too long for fear of them breaking so that was not the problem. I payed over 50$ to have shellac on top and the next day the shellac on most of my nails was peeling back, not sure if the polish was old ?? I left town and within a day two had broken and more had popped off. I couldn't even get them fixed because of the awful application so ended up having to remove the very few that were even left. I am a college student with not a lot of extra money and went out of my way to spend $50 plus a generous tip for sake of excitement about shape but overall not worth it for me at all and wish i had saved my money or someone at the salon knew enough to realize what the end result would be. read more

I went to Martini Nails on Friday. I had work at 5 so I decided arriving at 3 would be plenty of time to get my nails done before arriving at work. When I got there, there was a long line at the counter but I was quickly helped by someone who sat me in the pedicure chair. She tried to get me to choose one of the more expensive pedicure options but I opted for "The Classic" which was still $27. I wouldn't mind paying the money but my pedicure was less than 30 minutes, the paint job wasn't impressive, and she left an ingrown toenail (which i get all the time from shoes). Then I moved to the nail room to get my pink and white fill. It took 1.5 hours for a pink and white fill and I was late for work. I like the overall look of my nails but they minor details like making sure the sides are filled in were over looked. She never asked me if I wanted the gel finish and just did it anyway and charged me $5 extra. It ended up making my nails look like they have blotchy spots on them. Next time I'll go back to my standby nail place at Mohegan. It takes half as much time and they do a way better job for a better price! read more

Every time I have gone in to get my nails done I have had a wonderful experience! My shellac nails lasted me for almost 3 weeks before they started chipping away. Which normally shellac only lasts about a week for me. I got dip nails done for my wedding and they were absolutely beautiful! And they held up so well and still look freshly done! read more

WORST NAIL SALON IN OMAHA! I went in for a bridal party mani/pedi day. All I wanted was a basic pedicure and a dip manicure. The tech did NOT listen to a word I had to say. When I said I didn't want gel on my toes he decided that I needed it and started that anyway. Then I told him I wanted my nails kept short but not too short and he cut them to next to nothing, then he added fake nails to make up for the length. I thought that it wouldn't cost extra since it was not my fault but sure enough it did! Then when the tech started the dip process he didn't do the base coat and went straight to the color coat, and to top it off there was no top coat. Once I was almost done the tech had another appointment come sit right next to me and so he started to rush and rush and rush and now my nails are the ugliest thing I've seen. I had to go to a different nail salon to fix it and they said they've never seen anything so bad! This salon ended up costing me $115 for the mani/pedi and an additional $20 to fix it at a better salon. I called them to try and see if they would refund part of my money and all they said was "no we don't do that" no attempt at fixing this, not even an apology! Please don't go here! ZERO STARS. Went here for a bridal party on Friday 8/11 the afternoon before the wedding. I got a simple nail/pedi combo. When I left, the more I looked at my nails the more I noticed how awful they were. The top coat layer wasn't painted on my whole nail on probably 8/10 nails. Honestly I could have done a better job doing my own nails myself and I regret giving them my money. I didn't have time to go back in and get them fixed because of wedding activities but when I called to see what could be done all he said is that I could come back in and they will give me a discount. Sorry but a $5 discount isn't gonna make me feel any better. Extremely unprofessional and I will never go back. Pedicure was meh. The place is great. I saw a lot of yelpers had issues with the customer service, but I had no problem. My appointment was at 11:00am and I went with a friend and her daughter. We got manicures and pedicures. First, I would like to point out they have the cutest little pink butterfly chairs for young girls. With dvd players attached probably to keep them entertained during nail service. We got the orange peppermint pedicure and it was out of this world. Includes hot stone massage or paraffin wax plus much more for $40. They do an amazing job the massage put me to sleep. There were two massages the hot stone and the peppermint massage.. soooooooo relaaaxing. They did our manicure during our pedicure so we didn't have to move. However, they have a separate room for manicures and a separate room for private pamper parties. Also, they do waxing. They were very clean. They use gloves and clean the bowls and place a cleansing tablet in them. Also when you are done they spray your feet with alcohol. All tools were in a sterilizer. I love this place and will return. My technician was very thorough and meticulous. He made sure I got the best care. For a pedi with french/ or design, hot stone massage peppermint massage, manicure with french I paid $75. I was fine; I found a few options right off the bat. We were shown to our chairs. My guy, Tony, was nice and was sure to check in every few minutes to make sure everything felt nice. After I was finished he pointed me in the direction of the fans; my mom was left to find one on her own, as she finished sooner than I did. From what I could tell her pedicurist wasn't too entirely attentive... not a smile to be had. The atmosphere was nothing amazing, but the ventilation was good and the scent was pleasant. The service behind the counter was so/so. One gal, with whom we did not interact, seemed super nice. The gal who rang up our order at the end didn't seem too entirely enthused, and did not wish us a good day or anything. She did ask if everything was okay before punching in the costs, but handed my mom the receipt and that was the end of that. I don't ever expect to be treated like a princess, but some acknowledgment of our leaving would have been pleasant. Overall, okay value for the money. Definitely relaxing. Went there today and had a 2pm reservation for my stepdaughters 8th birthday. They weren't prepared, even though we had an appointment, and only 1/4 of us got started on time. The rest of my party waited 10 minutes to get started. My pedicure is probably the worst pedicure I've ever gotten. I'm not sure if the nail polish is old, but she just layered it on so thick and now it's got ripples in it. The salon seemed dirty and run down. I was sad at how terrible the princess chairs were since that was the only reason we went there anyways. Princess chairs were cracked and missing some of the faux leather, and the mini "Ipads" they had attached to them kept turning off randomly. Definitely will not be back. read more
