Went here with friends for the first time last night and it was excellent. We had the French onion soup and it was great, I had the stuffed grouper and my husband had the white fish Both our entrees were wonderful and their pricing is very very reasonable. Might be the best value on the Grand Strand. Wife and I sat at the bar. They do a rotating $5 special martini every day, which was peach/raspberry and I had the South Beach - both were excellent. Angel Hair pasta w/meatballs was great & comes w/soup or salad. Impeccable service & live music on the piano every night. Old school Italian ambiance. 5-star dining at 3-star prices. My husband and I enjoyed a truly lovely experience and amazing meal at Martini this evening. Dennis, our server, was such a delight and professional and we also enjoyed the live music and general atmosphere. As a previous review stated, it was a nice addition and by no means acousticly room over the space. The pricing was very, very reasonable and portions were very appropriate. The shrimp cocktail and cocktail sauce was great .. loved that it has just the right kick of horseradish in the sauce. I had the chicken picatta - huge portion! - with a house salad. Amazing. My husband ate like a king with the surf & turf. We topped it off with the warmed, berry filled pastry with vanilla ice cream and a chocolate martini. Just can't say enough about how much we enjoyed our evening and our dinner! read more

Been here for the happy hour which is one of the best but hard to get a seat since it is so popular. We have been making reservations in the restaurant which they always honor. The food is all great, salads fresh and the best prime rib around. read more

We've lived here all our lives and have never eaten here till now. We've heard nothing but good things about this place over the years and tonight I see why. Atmosphere was very nice. Although it has a working bar.... It did not have a bar like vibe. Instead, it had a cozy intimate sort of vibe with an elegant ambience. They had live music that wasn't loud enough to drown out conversation but loud enough to make out the songs. I had the prime rib (rare) king size with creamy horseradish sauce and creamed spinach. Very very good. Wife had a special center cut filet with lump crab and cream sauce with asparagus. She loved it and I tried it. Also loved it. Then she got that apple thing pictured and I had the brownie thing beside it. Both were incredible. Amy our server was awesome. We needed nothing and her recommendations were spot on. She was very personable and pleasant. Great first time experience and we will definitely be going back. I regret not coming here for the last 40 years. read more

Really wanted to love this place. The martinis/drinks were exceptional and very reasonably priced. The atmosphere was old school East Coast. Service was great, attentive, and friendly; however, the food was very disappointing. Wings were small and dry. Prime Rib was raw. Flatbread nothing special. Most egregious of all was the French Onion Soup, literally the worst I have ever eaten in my life. Was like a can of Campbell's, threw some croutons and bagged cheese and microwaved it. We had the most amazing dinner. The filet mignon was prepared excellently and the flavor on point, best we'd had in years. I'd drive back down here from Virginia for the filet alone. The tiramisu was delish as well. We thoroughly enjoyed Dennis as our server. He was the perfect combination of attentiveness, not intrusive, sweet, informative, and sincerely seemed to care about us and our experience. Unfortunately there were some children present who were making quite a mess and were walking all over the restaurant. Great place to dine, and to celebrate a special event...it is a higher scale restaurant for sure as the meals, the service and the atmosphere are all high quality... which is somewhat all cheapened by the absence of a bread basket!!!??? Hard to believe that a restaurant of this caliber cannot afford a bread basket?! You do get a thin bread stick but only if you order a salad or pasta dish :( We shared our "thin" bread sticks with our other friends, who did not order a salad or pasta dish...and were hungrily fixated on our bread sticks. lol! read more

Were do i begin to describe one of the best meals we had. First off, this place was hopping inside but didnt look that busy from outside. It reminds me of a church inside but I'm not sure why. It feels romantic and quiet and restful after a day at the beach. Its very unusual with marquee lighted MARTINI lettering in the bar, which was quite busy. Dennis our waiter was such a sweetheart. We could not have asked for more impeccable service. The mussels were amazing and we polished them right off. Just a little lip tingling spicy but excellent. The surf and turf was perfectly cooked and not a bite remained. Filet and lobster tail with mashed potatoes really hit the spot for my husband. The cowboy ribeye steak was so delicious and perfectly cooked but i added the crabmeat with lobster cream sauce and it was a meal within it's self. I could not stop eating that decadent sauce. I took most of the steak home to have for lunch. Even the vegetables were fresh and delicious. Martini is such a special place and perfect for a romantic or special evening out. Good, If you don't bring a group with you. I made reservations twice, two weeks in advance of arrival, with a large group of people close to 20. I thought they would appreciate the business and especially with plenty of notice. However only one server was exceptional and the others had a seriously bad attitude and were very impatient with the group. Management actually told me on the phone that they prefer 2 to 4 people as opposed to a group since "groups require a lot of work." Because the food is decent, I give them 2 stars instead of 1. But there are a lot of starving restaurants out there who would die to have a group come in with a reservation and give them business. Go somewhere else instead. Too many restaurants going out of business right now to waste your money on an unappreciative restaurant. read more
